Happy Summer Everybody! So much has happened for me since last summer came to a close. This Fall, I spent my time working on my manuscript for the upcoming release of my first book, You’ve Been VALidated: A Playbook For Confidence and Connection, which I couldn’t be more excited about! Securing a book deal has been a thrilling process and a labor of love. This is an opportunity to share my passion for helping others achieve confidence and enhance their communication skills. Readers will be entertained by insider celebrity stories as well as garner entertainment expertise and advice from my industry friends. The book release is this September and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, BarnesandNoble.com as well as SimonandSchuster.com.
Look for updates on my Instagram @valgreenberg for events and activities related to the book
IAalso consistently look to the lead colorist and co-owner of Mia Wagner Salon, Gary Wagner, for haircare services that allow me to achieve a beautiful unique blonde balayage. This upscale salon, located on West 55th street, offers a variety of beauty services in an elegant setting, including an outdoor patio. The Mia Wagner product line keeps my hair in good health and allows me versatility when it comes to styling.
dditionally, the Fall season provided me with standout experiences that included co-starring in CBS’ “The Equalizer,” alongside Queen Latifah, attending New York Fashion Week and working as a background actor strolling through Bergdorf’s opposite Kristin Davis in the upcoming season of “And Just Like That.” My Winter consisted of spending time with friends and family, hot yoga which kept me sane in the frigid temperatures as they seemed to never end as well as the challenges that came along with sticking to my New Year’s resolutions. The good news is that my favorite yoga studio with multiple locations throughout New York City, ID Hot Yoga, also has a location in East Hampton. If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend it. This practice which I recently incorporated into my workout routine has enhanced my ability to slow down which is essential for calmness, clarity and overall stress relief that aided in keeping my summer body ready.
SItaying ready for the Summer season takes hard work, consistency, determination and requires more than just working out. In an effort to put my best face forward in 2025, I had the treatment called Sofwave at the beginning of the year. This process offers noninvasive clinically proven, FDA cleared ultrasound and EMS solutions to improve skin laxity and lift. This is my second year experiencing results where I have achieved that snatched jaw line and brow lift.
n addition, I have incorporated PHiX MHE3 into my wellness routine, which is a mature hops extract and has enabled me to meet my wellness potential and reach my weight loss goals. It aids in burning stubborn visceral fat, enhances clarity, mood and focus as well as helps in halting food cravings. It has improved my digestion as well. I am so grateful to have been able to
empower my body’s fat burning ability and you can too by visiting Myphixation.com.
Let’s talk about some of the latest Spring events that I attended that served as highlights of the season: the re-opening of Planet Hollywood, Love Rocks NYC- a marquee concert featuring the biggest names in music including Cher and Alicia Keys in support of God’s Love We Deliver, The Soho
My health and wellness routine is extremely important to me and I have been making changes and attempting new fitness challenges in an effort to drive improved results. The Strength Club, located in the Flatiron District in Manhattan, has been one of the most wonderful additions to my daily schedule. My coach, Julian Devine, along with group fitness classes, have provided me with an environment where I can push myself beyond my comfort zone-physically. This has been truly satisfying for my overall well-being. Kenny Santucci, owner of the facility, has been a friend for years and has shared his passion to inspire his clients to be their best physically and mentally. After talking about joining time and time again, I finally made the leap and registered for the summer shred challenge. This is to prepare me for summer, and it was the best decision I could have made. I feel stronger than ever, am held accountable when it comes to making smart food choices and have become part of a community where self-care is a priority.
Sessions as well as Broadway outings. Ongoing personal achievements have been many including speaking engagements and panels that focus on my book as well as the positive feedback I’ve received from the audiences attending my sold out events. Spending time visiting my family in Washington D.C.
and co-hosting the leading daily lifestyle television program on Fox 5 continues to be a wonderful experience. My podcast, The AV Effect, which I co-host with Emmy Winning Journalist Alicia Quarles, has also kept me busy and features an impressive lineup of guests. Be sure to listen on Apple Podcasts!
As Memorial Day weekend fast approaches, I am looking forward to all that the summer season promises. Some of my favorites are farmer’s market fresh eats, the first bite of a ripe plum, juicy watermelon, the cool ocean breeze, beach jogs with the sand in between my toes, barbecues, the best in concerts, fashion and philanthropy. This is the time when we socialize and kick back, both of which are enjoyable activities. There is no better time than now to go with the flow and take advantage of all the magic that summer brings. As always, please do say hello when you see me! I love hearing from my audience, meeting new people and building long lasting friendships.
Cheers to SUMMER, #YouvebeenVALidated Val

Tracey Carnazzo is a NYC based stand-up comedian who, besides performing at comedy clubs and festivals, has been featured on SiriusXM, MTV, Bravo, FX, and Hulu to name a few.
We had the opportunity to sit down with her after another one of her hit shows at Governors Comedy Club in Levittown where she opened for comedian Mark Brucato, aka Lil’ “Mo” Mozzarella, who was featured in our MDW 2024 issue.
Q: Where are you from?
A: Queens, NY.
Q: Best place to perform?
A: My favorite place to perform is the Westhampton Performing Arts Center. The energy in that room is amazing, and the staff—Julienne, Marissa, and Christine—make it even better. When I’m in NYC, the New York Comedy Club is my home club. The crowds are electric, and the vibe is unbeatable, there’s nothing like getting on that stage.
Q: How was it opening for Hannah Berner and Paige Desorbo?
A: Hannah Berner was amazing—her fans are so dedicated and come ready to laugh. It’s like performing for a room full of people who pre-gamed with espresso martinis. Opening for the Giggly Squad podcast was a blast too. Hannah Berner and Paige Desorbo have built such a loyal, fun audience, and their energy is contagious.
Q: How was it being with Hannah Berner on the street?
A: I had a blast doing Hannah Berner’s street interviews. I love quick, off-thecuff moments, and getting thrown into unexpected conversations is my kind of fun. It’s always interesting to see how people react when a camera is in their face—it brings out some truly unhinged responses!
Q: If you were a Housewife, what would be your tagline and what franchise would you be on?
A: I think I could be on Beverly Hills or New York. I’d love it if there was a Hamptons franchise. My tagline would be “I’m not a homewrecker, but I’ll do some remodeling.” or “I’m not always right, but yes I am.”
Q: What brings you to the Hamptons in the summer?
A: I love being out in the Hamptons, it’s always been a special place for me. I’ve spent my summers there my whole life, so it feels like a second home. There’s nothing better than the beach, the restaurants, and just soaking up the energy of summer out East.
Q: You talk relationships, what was your worst date ever?
A: Honestly, every date so far has been the worst date ever. It’s just a series of men auditioning for the role of “person I never want to see again.”
Q: FAV event in the Hamptons?
A: Every year, I seem to have a new favorite event in the Hamptons. There’s always something exciting happening, whether it’s a great party, a local tradition, or just a perfect summer night with friends. The Hamptons in the summer always feels special, and I love discovering new events and experiences each year. My favorite thing to do is perform at the West Hampton Performing Arts Center.
Q: All time FAV comedian?
A: Colin Quinn, without a doubt. He’s one of the smartest and sharpest comedians out there, and his ability to dissect society, history, and human behavior with humor is unmatched. His dry, sarcastic delivery and classic New York attitude make everything he says even funnier.
Q: What comes to mind for each letter of the word HAMPTON?
A: Havarti,
American
Mozzarella
Parmesan
Taleggio
Oaxaca
Neufchâtel
I clearly love cheese….
Q: How was it opening for Vinny Guadagnino of Jersey Shore?
A: Performing with Vinny is exciting. His fans bring such a fun energy, and it was great to see him in this setting, connecting with an audience in a whole new way.
Q: Any rituals before you go on stage?
A: I always brush my hair. It’s my little ritual—some comics pace, some meditate, I make sure my hair is stage-ready. Priorities.
Q: What comedian would you like to perform with?
A: All of my friends. That’s when I have the most fun—when we’re on stage together, making each other laugh just as much as the audience.
Q: What was it like your first time on stage? Were you hooked immediately?
A: My first time on stage was in musical theater as a kid, and I’ve been performing ever since. I think I was just chasing the high of wearing sequins and demanding applause. Now I do stand-up, so not much has changed.
Q: You talk about dating, what do you
think is the worst thing a person can put on their dating profile?
A: I think the worst thing you could put on your dating profile is your wedding photos.
Q: If you were to create a rumor about yourself, just to be the talk of the town, what would it be?
A: I constantly spread rumors about myself, it’s called marketing.
Tracey hosts several podcasts with her best friend, Noelle Winters Herzog, including Teen Mom Trash Talk, 90 Day Fiancé Trash Talk and Catfish Trash Talk. Noelle is the funniest human she knows, and their dynamic makes these shows so much fun. They break down the most chaotic reality TV moments with humor, sarcasm, and with absolutely no filter.
On Patreon, they also cover even more reality TV, including Vanderpump Rules, Real Housewives of New Jersey, Mob Wives, Unexpected, and Jersey Shore. Plus, they have another podcast called Recycled, which Noelle co-hosts with their friend Michael Rehberg, where they talk about reality TV and movies. They’ve built an amazing community of listeners who love the same unhinged shows they do, and they’re always finding more to obsess over!

Long Island comedian and attorney Bryan Salamone, with his quick wits and comedic timing will by ipso facto have you laughing your proverbial funny bone off. We’ve known Bryan for over 10 years, he was a guest on my radio showThe Big Fat Joey Show. He’s more than a comedian and lawyer, he’s a friend, an aquarist and philanthropist. Watching him evolve into a comedian and performing on the great stages of the NY comic scene has been AWESOME! We had the opportunity to sit down with him and knee-slap the night away.
Q: What made you jump into the world of stand-up comedy?
A: It was something that was always in the back of my mind. One faithful Sunday, before I left the house for a “cars and coffee” Sunday meet-up, I left a note on the fridge to buy a plant for the house that week. Little did I, or anyone else, know that this almost didn’t happen. While driving to the meet-up, I was rear
ended on the LIE and my car went on fire. Luckily, some friends of mine, who were also going to the meet were driving by
as the accident happened. They got out of their cars and helped rescue me from my impromptu pyre. Even though I was quickly rescued, I suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns to my upper body, face, hands and arms. So much so that I had to be air-lifted to Stony Brook Hospital’s burn center. Luckily, I only spent a few weeks in the hospital, whereas I was then released to my home where I continued, and still continue, to heal. This is where the phrase, “tomorrow isn’t guaranteed” comes into play. This incident was my push to do all the things I wanted to do.
Q: We’re glad you’re on the mend. I guess since this incident, not too much can really shake you but, what was it like your first time doing standup?
A: It was fantastic until I froze! I lost focus but the audience helped me out by clapping for me. That broke me out of my trance, and I finished up. It took until the 3rd or 4th time for me to start to feel comfortable.
Q; What’s your comedic style?
A: Straight delivery. I don’t do characters or voices. A lot of my material is a variation of true stories/happenings in my life.
Q: Who would you like to perform with?
A: Tracy Morgan. He’s an aquarist like me and I believe he might own the largest fish tank in the U.S.
Q: How do you handle hecklers?
A: I don’t generally engage with them but if I do, I’ll ask them a question that allows me to make a quick quip at them.
Q: How do you memorize your set?
A: I break it down into an “outline.” I’ll write down 4 or 5 topics to jog my memory as to what I want to talk about next.
Q: Are there any topics off limits?
A: I don’t do topics on sex or bias/ prejudice.
Q: What’s the feedback from the audience when they find out you are an attorney?
A: People find it extremely interesting.
Q: What’s your secret to getting people to laugh?
A: Every few sentences I deliver a punch line. This keeps people on their toes and interested in what I’m saying.
Q: Any words of comedic wisdom to those looking to become a comedian?
A: Do what makes you laugh because laughter is the best medicine.

We got a chance to talk with comedian and entertainer Ted Jones, who we met at the 76th Annual Artists and Writers charity softball game in East Hampton. This year’s game is scheduled for August 16th. I hope to see you there.
Q: Where do your ideas come from?
A: My ideas come from an observation or a life experience that transforms into a thought then turns into a joke that I deem funny.
Q: What’s the deal with finance bros?
A: Finance bros are a very specific type of person that we see a lot in NYC. While they are typically doing well financially, they sometimes seem to check off the same boxes which makes them easy to make fun of.
Q: How often and where do you perform stand-up?
A: I perform standup comedy anywhere from 10 to 15 times a week all over NYC, but mostly in Greenwich Village.
Q: Best night of your life in terms of comedy?
A: During the Ted Jones Comedy Show, Jim Gaffigan dropped in and did a spot on our show. I was about 2 years into comedy, and this was one of the highlights of my young career.
Q: What is your Hamptons style?
A: It’s a shirt or sweatshirt that says “Ted Jones World,” along with a classic pair of tennis shorts and white shoes.
Q: What’s a good weekend in the Hamptons for you?
A: I usually like to go out to the Hamptons midweek to take a break from NYC but a good weekend in the Hamptons to me is a fresh workout/run, relaxing on the beach then having a nice dinner in town. Also, playing softball on Sunday with the Bridgehampton Bombers is a fav thing to do. I also do comedy shows at a few places.
Q: Which Hamptons town is your fav?
A: I would say my favorite Hampton is East Hampton, because I have spent a lot of time there. But you’ll see me in the mix all over the East End. Fill in the blank: I went to: A performing arts

We are excited to catch up with comedian, impressionist, actress and media host Andrea Lopez. You may know her from impersonating Teresa Guidice on the Bravo Clubhouse or for her viral Kourtney Kardashian parody on social media. This Brooklyn comedian has us laughing out loud in a variety of voices.
Q: When was your ah-ha moment that you realized you sounded like Teresa?
A: I started tracking my social
media platforms and Andy Cohen was commenting on my posts and seeing others comment. All the comments got me excited.
Q: Have you table flipped?
A: Never flipped a table.
Q: How are you like Teresa Guidice?
A: Teresa is family oriented. I dream of having a big family. I love glitz and glam and of course big hair.
Q: Who are your FAV housewives?
A: NeNe Leakes, Dorinda Medley and Dolores Catania.
high school in NYC called Professional Children’s School for Actors, Models, Singers and Dancers. I was one of the only athletes (tennis) who went to school there. My zodiac sign: I’m a Scorpio! Food: I’m Vegan! and have been for the past 5 years. To know me is to know that: I played Division 1 Tennis at UConn so anytime I get a chance to hop on the court I love to bash it out. I can be found: I post regularly on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat @tedjonesworld
Q: FAV cookie?
A: Pignoli and three-layer rainbow cookies.
Q: FAV Housewife episode?
A: When Ramona Singer, Bethenny Frankel and Luann de Lesseps, of RHONY, wake up in the fish room of Dorinda Medley’s Berkshire estate. It was hilarious.
Q: Who would be your ride or die Housewife?
A: Dolores Catania. She is a strong woman.
Q: What other housewife impersonations are you working on?
A: I am currently working on a Meredith Marks impersonation.
Q: How was it in the Bravo Clubhouse?
A: It was a dream come true. A long-time follower messaged me and asked me to go to a taping. At the beginning of taping, Andy Cohen comes out and you are able to ask questions. I spoke in my Teresa voice. The next morning, I got an email and was booked on the show. I am so thankful for that moment.

We caught up with Bravo TV’s Summer House alum and entrepreneur Carl Radke. Over the years, we have seen Carl grow not only personally but professionally. Carl’s business acumen and track record, working in the beverage industry, is second to none. That’s why it’s no surprise that he is venturing out and opening his own non-alcoholic bar called Soft Bar.
Q: Tell us about Soft Bar. Where’s it located and when is it opening?
A: Soft Bar is located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn adjacent to McCarren Park in Williamsburg. We’re scheduled to open this summer in August.
Q: What can people expect when at Soft Bar?
A: You can expect a premium and elevated experience. We’re open all day. I was inspired by the coffee culture and wanted to redefine functional drinks, so combining a cool cafe with a cocktail bar that doesn’t serve alcohol was a concept I wanted to bring to life.
Q: Why did you decide on Greenpoint Brooklyn? What’s its vibe?
A: Greenpoint is the epicenter of creativity, food, music and art. What’s needed is a third space that is opened more hours without the influence of alcohol!
Q: What’s the Carl Radke signature drink at Soft Bar?
A: My go to drink right now is probably the High Road for our soft cocktail, and for our morning beverage, the Blue Bliss. Both our coffee expert and head bartender bring a wealth of experience
and advanced techniques that help to create premium bespoke craft coffee and soft cocktail beverages.
Q: What inspired you to open a place and have it be a soft bar?
A: I stopped drinking in January 2021 and had been building and growing an alcohol brand with my two best friends since 2019. When I got sober, I saw a huge gap in the market and a need for a place where you can go anytime of the day and not be around alcohol and have an amazing high-quality beverage.
Q: Will we see the Summer House crew or other Bravolebrities there?
A: Yes! I hope so.
Q: Who has been most supportive in this venture?
A: All my friends have been showing support and love. Kyle has been really supportive but also on an entrepreneurial level with raising money and brand building.
Q: Tell us about your new book?
A: My memoir, Cake Eater comes out December 2025. I wanted to tell my honest story and everything in my life from childhood in Pittsburgh to my life before reality TV. I’m super raw and I’m sharing stories that nobody has heard, those that have really shaped who I am.
Q: What prompted you to write a book?
A: I was approached by a publisher in 2022 and was asked if I ever thought about writing a book. I began the slow and long process of working on the concept myself. Ultimately, I connected with an amazing female-founded publisher who got me to Simon and Schuster.
Q: Explain what writing this book means to you.
A: It means a lot! I’m super excited and a bit nervous to share my life story. I just hope it helps people realize you can go through really hard times and come out a better version of yourself.
Q: When does your book come out and are you planning a tour?
A: It comes out December 2025 and Yes, absolutely! Loverboy Non Alc and Soft Bar, hopefully, will have some appearances on tour!
Q: Three words to describe how you feel right now.
A: Blessed, grateful and focused.

New season-Summer! Does that mean a new job for you?
Maybe you’re due a raise?
Then get ready to negotiate. Some studies suggest that the gender gap in negotiation has narrowed.
Many women still don’t do it. A 2024 study by Indeed shows only 43% of women have asked for a raise. While it’s great that they’re asking, a full 57 % aren’t asking. Every woman—every woman! – should be negotiating her salary.
Here’s the thing. It really, really matters! Don’t throw away the opportunity to negotiate your salary, especially when you’re going for a new position. At a new company, all future raises you get will be based on your starting salary. Over the course of a 45-year career, a non-negotiating worker stands to lose between $650,000 and $1M relative to the worker who negotiates. This amount is derived from lost earnings along with the compound interest you would have earned on those earnings.
First, realize that negotiating is actually the thing that most women are super good at. Also, view negotiations as a conversation, not as a conflict.
Prepare: Research salary ranges for the position and find out as much as you can about the company and the backgrounds
of who you’re interviewing with. Have a “brag book” of your accomplishments which can help you sell yourself.
Be Professional.
If you get a ‘no’, realize ‘yes’ can come from that by responding to the ‘no’ with
the right strategic questions.
Of all the skills to learn in your career, being a good negotiator has the biggest potential to pay off—literally. So don’t let that opportunity slip by!

Rosé all day! I caught up with Jesse Bongiovi (JBG) and Jon Bon Jovi (JBJ) over the winter and well, they were just bubbling over with exciting news! Summer in the Hamptons has just become more rosé. Hampton Water Rosé, that all day, every day, perfect pairing with anything wine now has a partner to help you celebrate all of life’s special moments be they big or small. The dynamic team at Hampton Water has helped to expand the fun with Hampton Water Bubbly. Born in France but raised in the Hamptons, Hampton Water Bubbly artfully blends pinot noir, grenache and chardonnay into what has become the talk of the wine world. Jesse, I’m excited that you’ve entered the sparkling wine business. Summer in the Hamptons is all about kicking back, relaxing, meeting up with friends and family and celebrating life’s victories. A better place for Hampton Water Bubbly to make a splash, I can’t think of.
Q: Why a bubbly?
JBG: Ever since we came out with our rosé wine, people have been asking for us to come out with a sparkling wine.
Q: How is Hampton Water Bubbly different from all the others?
JBG: It’s here to help break down the aura of high-priced sparkling wines. It’s an “everyday” sparking wine. It’s a sparking wine where “anytime is the right time.” The same way we believe that our rosé should be accessible, easy and fun to enjoy, we believe that it should hold true for our bubbly.
Q: I see the Grenache grape is in the blend, what’s its significance?
JBG: The Grenache grape allows us to highlight our South of France style and commitment to a great product.
Q: What has surprised you the most about being in the wine business?
JBJ: It’s hard work! Jesse and his team have
been grinding every day for 8 years now trying to get the word out. It has been amazing to see the success we have had but this business is not for the faint of heart.
Q: How has owning Hampton Water molded your perspective on wine as a whole?
JBJ: The amazing thing about the wine business is that ultimately you learn that it is really made up of incredible families that are all hard-working farmers. These are people that depend on the land and want to do everything in their power to create a beautiful product. Once you peel back the layers, it’s not as intimidating as some people might be inclined to believe.
Q: Is there anything you’d do differently as it relates to Hampton Water?
JBJ: No. It wasn’t always easy, but Jesse had a vision, and it took some time to work it all out but we have landed in an incredible place.
Q: How proud of Jesse are you with where he’s taken Hampton Water?
JBJ: Incredibly proud. He works his butt off every waking moment to make sure that we continue to have the success we have been having since we started. Now when we go into big meetings I just hang out and take pictures, Jesse and his team do all the hard work.
Q: What mix tape of JBJ songs should one be listening to as they enjoy their Hampton Water?
JBJ: At this point, the catalog is so big, there’s a song for every occasion. People will just have to decide for themselves.
Q: You’ve been busy since we last spoke. You got married! Congratulations! How’s married life?
JBG: I love it!
Q: Any BTS tidbits you can share with us from your wedding?
JBG: We stayed at the SOHO Farmhouse in England and after the wedding, in the wee hours of the morning, we all jumped into the pool, fully dressed. Now comes 7:00 am and the club members come by for their daily swim. Needless to say, they were shocked to see us. We hurried out of the pool and went about our day.
Q: Besides dad’s music, what’s on your summer play list?
JBG: Music from ‘Wicked’ the musical, Beyoncé and Sabrina Carpenter are on my list.
Q: What’s your Hamptons style?
JBG: Shorts and a T-shirt. Very relaxed.
Q: How did the annual Hampton Water ping pong competition come to be?
JBG: It came about after an event my father was at in the Hamptons and as they say, “the rest is history.”
Q: Dad is undefeated. He’s won all 5 of your matches. How’s that possible?
JBG: He’s a master of mind games and once I miss, he tries to get under my skin.
Q: What’s your strategy for this year’s game?

Iput on my running shoes and caught up with mom, meteorologist and marathon runner Sam Augeri, of NEWS 12 Long Island, where she shared a day in her life. 5:00 am WAKE UP! I work late at night so it’s the toughest part of the day. After I hit snooze two to three times, I guzzle some coffee and head out for my run before the kids (and my husband) wake up. Marathon training isn’t easy but there’s no other way I’d rather start my day. It clears my head and sets a positive tone for the day. This year I’m looking forward to a few big races: the NYC Half Marathon, the Boston Marathon, and the NYC Marathon!
7:00 am SCHOOL MORNING
ROUTINE: I try to spend a little bit of quality time with my 3 boys before the chaos begins. My twins, Jack and Ben are 7 and the not so baby, baby Timothy, is 2.5 years old. Time to make breakfast and sing, dance, do whatever I have to do to get these guys to eat in a timely fashion. When they’re done with breakfast, crazy mode begins and it’s always a circus getting them dressed and out the door to school.
9:00 am MOMMY AND TIMMY
TIME: A few hours for us to spend time together and do whatever we want or need to do. I cherish our precious time together! 12:00 pm LUNCH TIME: Lunch time for Timmy while I prep my work dinner and anything else I need to cook. It’s nap time shortly (unfortunately not for me). This is when I get myself ready to start the work day. From this point my husband or our families will help with the kids for the rest of the day. My husband gets to work from home a few days a week and we are so blessed to have our parents nearby to babysit.
2:00 pm ARRIVE AT NEWS 12
LONG ISLAND: I love my job and forecasting the weather because it’s different every day. I look at it as putting together a new puzzle that tells a story each and every day. Mother Nature always keeps me on my toes! My workday starts with an editorial meeting where we discuss the weather forecast and news coverage for the evening shows. On the days that I have Sam’s Weather School; my day will start at a school where I get to share my love of science and weather with some hands-on fun for the students. It’s back to the studio after that, where I do some
in depth forecasting. I look at current weather conditions, and the latest forecast models and data to build my 10-day forecast. For the next two hours or so I am in production mode. I build my forecast graphics and content for our website and News 12 Plus. I like to catch up on social media before our first show as well.
Most days our first show is at 5 pm. If we have breaking news or changeable weather, we will often start updates earlier in the day, usually around 3 pm. On these days I try to come to work with my hair and makeup done. Since it’s usually a time crunch getting out of my house, I do my hair and makeup at work most days. I don’t have any special skills in this department, and it can be a drag for me, so if you have any tips please send them my way lol!
5:00 pm EVENING NEWSCAST: Our newscast is a half hour with any special recordings and social media work
following. We do updates as needed if there’s breaking news and weather. During this newscast I focus on evening and overnight weather with what to expect for the next day. As always, I’ll end my weather hit with the 10-day forecast and weather for any special events coming up.
7:00 pm DINNER TIME: There really is no specific dinner time but I usually like to eat before 8 pm. I look forward to FaceTime with my boys to hear about their school day and say goodnight to them. It’s always a tough time for me as I wish I got to put them to bed every night.
8:00 pm UPDATE WEATHER
CONTENT: I make any necessary weather updates for the overnight show and send my updated forecast out to all outlets. This is the time I get to spend working on any creative extras or digital

Well and Good.
Asummer fling can last a night, the summer or 10 years. It all depends on the vibe you give off and the way you handle that first hookup. The good news is that authenticity is back! Being super upfront about what you’re into and not into, as well as protecting the sexual and mental health of the person you’re hooking up with, is the new hotness. But not everyone is into honesty and vulnerability. For some people it takes away the sexiness of the moment. For people with anxiety, say, living in the moment is actually the healthier way to hookup rather than thinking, “what does all this mean?” For the more conscientious, and those open to experience, they wanna lay it all… on the table. Which are you? Knowing the answer can save you from sending the wrong message or from inadvertently breaking your own heart.
1. The person you’re most attracted to is usually:
A. A hottie on the beach you’ve just met.
B. A new friend you’re just getting to know.
C. A friend you’ve had a long time.
D. Someone who is already taken.
2. Which of these dating terms applies most to how you handle things after that first hookup.
A. Cushioning (you keep someone on the back burner in case your current hookup ends).
B. Ghosting (you’re not that into it but no need to have a conversation about it).
If you answered mostly A:
C. Breadcrumbing (you lead them on to keep them around in case you change your mind).
D. Cuffing (it’s a summer thing).
You are most likely confident, charismatic but emotionally detached. On the plus side, you’re comfortable with your own desires, you have a natural ability to engage with others, you have strong communication skills, which help you set clear expectations, but you may not be the best at making sure the other person is on the same page. To you a hookup is a selfish act, for you. You’re not responsible for someone else’s emotional stuff. That’s the best part of the hookup for you, the freedom and lack of responsibility If you answered mostly B: You are typically non-judgmental, open-minded and you embrace the
3. Where do you usually hookup?
A. Anywhere, anytime, it’s the adventure of it.
B. Your place, you like to control the environment.
C. Their place. No way are you letting them know where you live.
D. Somewhere romantic under the stars, like on the beach.
4. Which person are you at the party?
A. The person everyone notices because you are full of personality.
B. The person who is more flirty than talky.
C. The person who zeros in on who they’re attracted to.
D. The person who sits on the couch, pets the dog, doesn’t make the first move.
5. Where do you MOST like to meet a hookup?
A. Anywhere and everywhere.
B. The apps.
C. In person.
D. Through friends, at a party, etc.
6. During the hookup and after consent is clear, do you:
A. Just go for it.
B. Talk about what you like and don’t like.
C. Ask the other person what they like and don’t like.
D. Take it slow.
7. What’s your aftercare style?
A. WTF is “aftercare?”
B. Let the other person say something first and if they don’t…you’re good.
C. Ask for what you need/want.
D. Make sure the other person is okay.
8. Be honest. Usually before a hookup you are:
A. Drunk or impaired in some way.
B. Googling the other person beforehand.
C. Super nervous.
D. Totally chill, you trust your own decision making.
9. Which sexual acts are off limits during a hookup:
A. Everything is on the table.
B. Anal.
C. Oral.
D. PIV sex, “going all the way,” doing “it”.
10. When the hookup is over do you usually:
A. Make an excuse and get TF outta there.
B. Do it again.
spontaneity and freedom that comes with casual encounters. You’re good at reading social cues, knowing when to be playful, flirty, or more laid-back, and when to be the aggressor. While you may be very present and in the moment, you avoid getting too emotionally involved or making commitments. The problem is when you end up liking your hookup, you feel torn between wanting a deeper emotional connection and being caught up in moments of attraction or temptation. If you answered mostly C: While you may set boundaries for yourself, when the right (or wrong) circumstances arise, you find it difficult to stick to those boundaries. That’s because
C. Exchange numbers and hope to see them again.
D. Fall in love.
you’re idealistic or have high relationship standards. You believe in love and instant chemistry, but its let you down so much in the past, you hide behind the idea of a hookup with the hope it becomes something more. You don’t ask for what you want but you hope the other person gives it or wants you more, mostly to validate your feelings. You’d never put yourself out there because it always results in hurt. In truth, you struggle with loneliness or desire for validation, this leads you to situations where you might end up going against your own intentions. Being honest upfront before a hookup, or just seeing it as a temporary connection

Q: Tell us about yourself and how do you take the party to the next level?
A: I’m DJ CHEF — “The Chef That Rocks!” I’m the only entertainer who cooks and DJs at the same time, creating an experience that’s totally unique and unforgettable. I bring the energy of a live DJ and the excitement of a cooking show together in one epic party. Whether it’s a birthday, bachelorette, or private event, I get the crowd dancing, singing, and interacting while I whip up something delicious right in front of them. It’s not just a party — it’s a full-blown show that takes your celebration to the next level.
Q: What made you combine cooking with being a DJ?
A: I started out as DJ in high school, then took a job with a caterer who after a while urged me to go to culinary school. So, one day I showed up at the NY Restaurant School in NYC. I went through the fine dining circuit, worked in the restaurant business, got burned out, took a job as a corporate chef which led me to start doing private dinner parties. From there, things just took off. After doing a few parties, I felt there was something missing. What was missing was music. So, I cooked up the beats and the bites –and people LOVED it. That’s when DJ CHEF was born. It’s like Iron Chef meets Coachella – only way tastier.
Q: What is The DJ CHEF Experience?
A: It’s a one-of-a-kind interactive culinary party where I cook, DJ, and perform a live show with the guest of honor. Think, fun party action, and a birthday girl with a DJ CHEF apron singing into a wooden spoon mic. It’s one-part private chef party, two-parts dance party and ALL vibe.
Q: What TV shows have you been on?
A: I won Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen. I co-hosted MTV’s Spring Break with Lindsay Lohan, Bravo’s RHONY & Summer House, FOX 5 Good Day
& Good Night NY and I even was the subject of an episode of The Party Planner with celebrity event planner David Tutera on HGTV. Wherever I go, I bring the fire –literally and figuratively.
Q: What’s your favorite Hamptons?
A: Montauk, all day, but Sag Harbor always has a special place in my heart.
Q: What’s your specialty, cooking-wise?
A: DJ CHEF’s Reggae Shrimp. It has bold island flavors, sizzling presentation, and it’s always a showstopper. When the shrimp hits the pan and the beat drops –that’s when the party really starts.
Q: Favorite restaurants in the Hamptons?
A: Duryea’s for the views and seafood, Nick & Toni’s for that classic East End charm, and 75 Main for cool vibes and elevated plates. I love visiting Larry at Dockers on Dune Road in East Quogue. I’m also always down for a fresh lobster roll from Lunch.
Q: Favorite kitchen tips?
A: “Hot pan, cold oil – food won’t stick.”
Also: always finish your meatballs in the sauce – that’s where the flavor lives. Also, never underestimate the power of a sharp knife and a great playlist in the kitchen.
Q: We hear you’re very philanthropic?
A: Yes, I perform for the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women events for the past 10 years. Annually, I cook/DJ for the Marty Lyons Foundation & John Starks Foundation events and I perform for the Encourage Kids Foundation “Serving Up Smiles” food & wine gala in NYC.
Q: What’s new for DJ CHEF?
A: I just launched “The Hamptons by DJ CHEF” cookware set & knife collection. It combines professional and chef quality durability with a Hamptons luxury design. I’m offering all readers a special 20% OFF with code DJCHEF20 at DJCHEFKitchen.com. All socials @DJchefrocks

Ingredients:
1 lb cooked lobster meat (claw & knuckle, chopped)
1/4 cup good-quality mayonnaise
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp finely chopped celery (optional for crunch)
1 tsp chives or scallions, finely sliced
Salt & pepper, to taste
4 top-split brioche or potato hot dog buns
1–2 tbsp melted butter (for toasting buns)
Optional garnish: extra chives, lemon wedge
Directions:
1. Chill the lobster: Place lobster meat in the fridge until ready to mix. It should be cold for that refreshing bite.
2. Mix the filling: In a bowl, combine lobster meat, mayo, lemon juice, celery (if using), and chives. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Chill until serving.
3. Toast the buns: Brush buns with melted butter and toast on a skillet or grill until golden on the sides.
4. Assemble: Gently spoon chilled lobster mixture into each bun. Garnish with extra chives or a squeeze of lemon.
5. Serve: Keep it cold and classy – great with kettle chips, chilled rosé, or a crisp cocktail like my Montauk Sunset.

In the heart of The Hamptons pulses the vibrant artistry of Ceravolo, a prominent urban Pop artist celebrated for his dynamic creations that blur the lines between music and visual expression. Widely acclaimed as the “Rock and Roll Painter” and “Painter of the Stars of Rock” by the media, Ceravolo has become a cultural icon in his own right. His work has found a coveted place in the collections of music royalty, including Elton John, Rod Stewart, and Alice Cooper, solidifying Ceravolo as an integral part of the tapestry of pop culture.
The allure of Ceravolo’s paintings extends beyond the private domains of music icons by gracing the halls of influential corporate entities and private collectors alike. Among those captivated by his art are Pete Davidson, Grant Cardone, Warner Bros, RCA Records and the late Hugh M. Hefner and David Brenner.
Ceravolo’s meteoric rise to prominence took a pivotal turn when he was commissioned to create five largescale masterpieces for the lobby of The Palladium Theatre in New York City. These monumental paintings, featuring the likenesses of Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, Frank Zappa, Neil Young, and Hall and Oates, not only adorned the theatre but catapulted Ceravolo’s art into popular consciousness. In addition to his iconic Rock and Roll classics, Ceravolo’s urban Pop paintings create a whimsical realm where he intertwines pop culture
and imagination. These paintings transport viewers into a fantastical world, where Batman takes the wheel of his Batmobile accompanied by a sultry Movie Star. Adding a touch of humor and charm to these creations, the gopher affectionately known as “G,” stands alongside Batman on the side of the Batmobile. Whether you walk on two legs or four, Ideal Glass Studios was the place to be for the Rescue Dogs Rock NYC Fashion Show: Puppy Love. Produced by TV Host Chance Spiessbach of ChanceTV, it was an amalgamation of high fashion, electrifying performances, and heartfelt philanthropy. What more could you ask for: models on roller skates clad in mirrored bodysuits, Martha
Graham dancers, “Burners” from Burning Man, lingerie show, stars from Broadway and TV, and everyone’s favorite, those lovable rescue dogs. As I like to say, “If you know whats next, I haven’t done my job.”
Ideal Glass Studios hosted 30 high-profile personalities walking the runway hand-inpaw with dogs rescued from abuse and neglect by Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, which has rescued almost 10,000 dogs and spent more than $15 million on their care.
The grand finale delivered a futuristic surprise when Boston Dynamics’ robotic dog, SPOT, walked the runway and then danced for the cameras to the spellbinding beats of DJ Eva Vos. SPOT bowed to the crowd and high-fived Chance who was sporting an apropos futuristic LED mask with a flashing heart.
A dazzling lineup of VIP walkers brought their star power to the event including: Dina and Ali Lohan, Supermodel Frederique van der Wal & daughter Scyler, Miss USA N.C. Gabby Ortega,

Multi-faceted Brooklyn artist uses the power of storytelling to connect and heal.
Marla Mase never knew what she was capable of. Today, the Brooklyn native is a successful entrepreneur, recording artist, performer, and actress — all fueled by her gift for forging deep human connections through storytelling. Sharing life’s triumphs and losses — whether on stage or in conversation — has been the crux of her multiple careers.
After losing her mother, Marla and her then 87-yearold father created Being
Catherine & Gabriella Vigorito from the hit show “sMothered”, Orfeh (multiple Tony & Grammy Nominated Broadway star) former Miss USA N.Y. Stephanie Chernick, Amir Arison (Star of “BLACKLIST” & Apple TV’s “Dope Thief”), Anna Rothschild (celebrity publicist),
Chrissy Monroe (VH1 Love & Hip Hop), Supermodel Alex Lundqvist and his wife, Rebecca Herero (“Art Bodega Magazine” founder), Lara Eurdolian (On Air Talent), Socialite Luisa Diaz (founder of the Mag Gala), Charlii Bunya (TV host from Styleculture.TV).
Somebody, a father-daughter play touring from New York to Florida. Sharing his memories as a “skinny Jewish kid” in ‘40s Brooklyn and hers of growing up there as a “disco girl” in the ’70s, they’ve sold out every show, earning rave reviews. With her dad making his acting debut at 87, their journey proves it’s never too late to discover who you are — or “too old to be young.”
That spirit fuels Marla’s music career, which began unexpectedly in her 40s. At 43, she released her first album; now, 16 years later, she’s written over 75 songs, released nine albums (with a tenth, The Midnight Show,
arriving this summer alongside a U.K. tour), and performed across the U.S., U.K., Europe, and China. Critics have called her performances “fearless” (Culture Clash) and compared her to Patti Smith, Lou Reed, Frank Zappa, and Iggy Pop.
Marla’s commitment to connections deepened with The Lael Project, a musical initiative honoring her daughter, Lael Summer, who passed unexpectedly in 2017. Since September 2024, Marla has been releasing Lael’s songs and covers to raise awareness about mental health and help reduce the stigma around it, believing that open conversation can save lives.
“My favorite thing is being
together, connecting through our stories, struggles, grief, and triumphs,” says Marla. “It’s the best thing we can do to unite us — be alive together.”

rather than putting expectations on it can make your summer hookup much more enjoyable.
If you answered mostly D: Let’s face it, hookup culture is not really for you. While you can handle the casualness of it, it’s ultimately not who you are. You value deep emotional connections and longterm commitment. You are driven by a desire for intimacy that goes beyond the physical. You are highly attuned to your emotions but also the feelings of others. You prefer to seek out meaningful bonds that allow for mutual understanding, trust, and growth. But also, so you can be yourself. A hookup for you is more likely to last ten years, not one night. You prioritize communication,

emotional availability, and shared experiences over the superficial. You’re better at finding a partner who aligns with your values and is willing to invest in building something lasting. You’re worse at finding a hookup because afterwards it feels too mean or inauthentic. The idea of a casual fling or one-night stand can feel shallow or disconnected. A real connection for you, and real sexual gratification comes from really knowing someone and having them really know you. You don’t feel the need to pretend to be anything other than that.
