GETTING COOLER

Welcome to the October issue of Professional Electricians Wholesaler. My column in September drew some amusing comments from colleagues, in particular the opening paragraph about my referencing seeing Fatboy Slim and Kaiser Chiefs at the Latitude Festival this summer. The inference from some was that I was only including this information to appear ‘cool’ to my readers. Nothing could be further from the truth of course, but to avoid such accusations I shall avoid any further mention of music festivals – a decision I reached while I sipped champagne at the Burghley Horse Trials.

The weather was warm enough to make us believe that summer was still going strong but a few days later I started seeing Christmas products in the shops and my heart sank just a little – we’ve not even had Hallowe'en yet! I do believe retailers are just trolling us now. We have Christmas adverts playing on the radio and television, so by 1st December you are already sick of the festive songs you used to love – and I’m not sure I can take any more hype about the new M&S, John Lewis or Boots seasonal commercials. It won’t be long before they’re being directed by Steven Spielberg and getting a Leicester Square premiere!

“ Energy efficient heating systems are going to play a crucial role in the UK’s decarbonisation journey. ”

I would be curious to know how early electrical wholesalers decorate their stores, if at all. Sure, you’ll get the odd customer coming in looking for some new fairy lights, but I’m not convinced reindeer-themed workwear or tools wrapped in tinsel will be huge sellers…(famous last words). All this premature marketing must work though and, despite all my ranting above, the date and location for our office Christmas dinner have already been confirmed.

Moving on, October is also when we see the weather really begin to turn, and I start wondering how long I can survive before I give in and switch the heating on. From a personal and selfish point of view, yes I want to be warm and comfortable but I also want to keep my energy bills down. With my professional hat on, and as someone who has spent years writing about the built environment – I am also thinking about my environmental impact. Energy efficient heating systems are going to play a crucial role in the UK’s decarbonisation journey and we are likely to see the emergence of systems once considered niche, like electric radiant heating, into the mainstream. Schwank’s article on page 22 goes into more detail about the benefits radiant heating can bring to large premises like factories and warehouses.

Also this month, Knightsbridge highlights some current trends in wiring accessories on page 27, and we learn about Tridonic’s plans for sustainability and Net Zero in Soapbox on page 48

Enjoy the issue!

EV CHARGERS INSTALLED AT TOLLERTON HALL

SYNC ENERGY FUTURE PROOFS GRADE II LISTED TOLLERTON HALL

Sync Energy has recently installed five of its EV chargers in the grounds of the historic Tollerton Hall, home to high-end automobile retailer Kaaimans International.

The Grade II listed hall, which has previously been a hotel, WWII army base, and school, is now owned by the Kershaw family who are renovating it into their family home and base for their business.

As part of the renovations, the Kershaw’s have installed the EV chargers for tenants and their clients in The Coach House, an on-site commercial space. Wanting dual-socketed chargers with

illumination for the evenings, they worked with NEST Group who recommended Sync Energy’s Pro Charger Range.

The chosen charger was the Twin Floor Mounted Pro Charger with Light, ticking all the boxes for power, capacity, and lighting. It features two Type 2 socket outlets, a backlit intuitive colour touchscreen and on screen and RGB LED charge status indicator, as well as built in 4G connectivity, MCB and MID meters as standard. The featured light and PAS 1899 compliant design ensures easy and accessible charging at all times of the day.

Kaaimans International’s Liam Kershaw

said: “Tollerton Hall has become the home for our family and our business, and the installation of EV chargers falls in line with Kaaimans recent launch of our Kaaimans Green sub-sector of high-end electric and hybrid vehicles.”

ROLEC PARTNERS WITH CONNEKT

ROLEC ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH CONNEKT

Rolec and Connekt are on a joint mission of providing infrastructure to the most underserved sector of the UK electric vehicle charging market –championing EV uptake in the destination charging sector. Sites are falling short of their EV charging potential. Of the nearly 70,000 potential locations for destination charging throughout the UK, less than 1% have committed to installing chargers.

The partnership combines Rolec’s technology with Connekt’s funding, sector expertise and local presence to best aid in the deployment of charging at locations such as hotels, universities, marinas, leisure sites nationwide. So far, the team has installed multiple EV charging networks,

with commitments to carry out work on many additional sites in the coming year.

A Scottish-based electric vehicle charging funder, Connekt’s experienced team of on-the-ground staff are actively surveying sites to provide the best advice and guidance to customers introducing EV charging as part of their business.

Rolec’s expansive network of installers allows customers access to rapid EV infrastructure deployment and efficient installation and maintenance services combined with knowledgeable staff providing local technical support.

Speaking on the partnership, Johnny Manning, Founder of Connekt, commented: ‘At Connekt, we see a real synergy with Rolec. Over the past three to

four years, we’ve been on an incredible journey building the foundations of a leading charge point operator. Rolec has been on a parallel journey, and they’ve emerged as one of the true market leaders in the EV charging industry.”

Darren North, National Sales Manager at Rolec, added: “We are thrilled to be partnering with such a forward-thinking company to take on a major rollout of electric vehicle infrastructure across the UK. By working closely with the Connekt team, and Connor Charnley, after many years as industry friends, we will be able to bring our combined expertise to a sector with immense potential.”

LIA CERTIFICATE GAINS ISP ENDORSEMENT

The Lighting Industry Association (The LIA) has announced that its Enhance Certificate in Lighting Sales Success has been formally endorsed by the Institute of Sales Professionals (ISP), the only body worldwide recognised by government and employers as the professional standard for sales excellence.

This endorsement is a significant step for the lighting sector and means sales professionals can now develop their skills through a programme that not only reflects the technical and regulatory needs of our industry but also meets the highest standards of professional sales practice.

The Enhance Certificate in Lighting Sales Success was created in response to

a growing demand from employers for training that bridges industry expertise with commercial capability. Designed by the industry, for the industry, the programme equips sales professionals with the tools to understand customer needs, build stronger relationships, and create long-term value in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Through its rigorous endorsement process, the ISP has recognised the quality and relevance of the programme. This gives employers and learners confidence that completing the Enhance Certificate provides a clear route to professional recognition, aligned with wider career pathways both within lighting and more broadly across the sales profession.

In assessing the new programme the ISP Reviewer, Sallyann Baldry, said; “I am impressed by the relevance of the course to those workinginsalesinthelighting industry. This programme will greatly contribute to professionalising sales in the lighting industry.”

Teresa Beazley, Commercial & Training Manager, The LIA, commented; “We’re proud to have created a programme that genuinely reflects the challenges and opportunities of selling in the lighting sector. The ISP’s endorsement reinforces the value of this training, not just for individuals, but for the organisations who rely on confident, capable sales professionals to drive their business forward.”

ELECTRO-WIND MANUFACTURESBESPOKE TRANSFORMER FOR HINKLEY POINTC

Electro-Wind has announced the design, manufacture and delivery of a custom-built 500kVA 3PH 415V/690V transformer for one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects — the construction of Hinkley Point C nuclear power station.

Working in partnership with a leading electrical wholesaler, Electro-Wind was entrusted with supplying a highly robust IP55-rated transformer, specifically engineered for external environments and designed for installation on a raised platform. The transformer now plays a

crucial role in providing temporary power to the Unit 2 reactor polar crane during the commissioning phase.

One of the project’s greatest challenges was achieving the stringent IP55 protection rating while keeping the size and weight of the unit to a minimum. Electro-Wind’s engineering team overcame this by incorporating forced air cooling, ensuring complete compliance with environmental standards while maintaining exceptional performance and efficiency.

This specialist transformer is currently powering one of the largest land-based

cranes in the world, a vital asset to the development of Hinkley Point C. Despite the project’s time-sensitive nature, Electro-Wind successfully delivered the unit within a demanding eight-week schedule, meeting all specifications precisely and on time.

EDA RECEIVES TRAINING AWARD

EDA MODULESRECOGNISED IN 2025 PRINCESS ROYAL TRAINING AWARDS

The Electrical Distributors’ Association has again been recognised by The Princess Royal Training Awards for its 12 Product Knowledge Training Modules. The EDA first held the Award in 2022 and following a rigorous assessment process has retained the Award in 2025 for another three years.

HRH The Princess Royal, President of the City and Guilds of London Institute, awards employers for outstanding training and skills development programmes which have positively impacted organisations, people and wider society. Now celebrating a decade of training excellence, The Princess Royal Training Awards honour organisations that demonstrate outstanding commitment to learning and development, and highlight the tangible impact of exceptional training on both businesses and individuals. Launched in 2016 in response to

demand from employers for recognition of excellence in workplace training, more than 1,000 training programmes have been put forward for evaluation. Since then, 415 Awards have been presented to 274 organisations, who have collectively trained almost 1 million people, demonstrating the Awards’ far-reaching place in skills development across the UK and Ireland.

Coinciding with HRH The Princess Royal’s 75th birthday, the 10th year of the Awards saw 143 applications, with 57 achieving the prestigious award. This year’s recipients represent a wide range of sectors including construction, hospitality, education and training, the public sector, not-for-profit, and heritage crafts.

“The EDA is deeply honoured to be awarded once again The Princess Royal Training Award,” said Margaret Fitzsimons, CEO of the EDA. “The product knowledge programme is an initiative of which our

members can be really proud. Wholesalers and manufacturers worked long and hard together to define and create the content and the visionary EDA board allocated the appropriate resources to enable their work to be published to the highest standard in book format then later digitally on the EDA Learning Platform, The EDA Academy.” Since their launch in 2018, demand for the training modules continues to grow: to date over 11,000 modules have been ordered by 2,633 individuals working for 210 businesses in the UK’s electrotechnical sector, and across 860 wholesaler branches. Every module studied is rigorously assessed and 79 per cent of those who successfully complete their module assessments receive the top distinction grade.

FINDING STRENGTH THROUGH SUPPORT

Life isn’t always predictable. One moment, things may be ticking along as normal and the next, you could be facing personal challenges that feel overwhelming. In the electrical industry, where long hours, demanding environments, and physical work are often part of the job, it can be especially difficult to pause, take a breath, and ask: ‘How am I really doing?’

At the Electrical Industries Charity (EIC), we hear from people every day who are navigating pressures, both at work and at home. Some are facing financial hardship or health concerns. Others are dealing with bereavement, relationship breakdowns, caring responsibilities, or mental health struggles. Many tell us the same thing: “I didn’t know if I could ask for help.”

We want to make it clear: you can. And you should. Asking for support isn’t a last resort or a sign of weakness. It’s one of the most important steps you can take to look after yourself, and in turn, those around you.

It’s important to understand that resilience doesn’t mean going it alone. It means knowing when to take a step back, seek guidance, and give yourself the samecare you offer others. Challenges are an inevitable part of life, but support should be too.

It’s natural to experience ups and downs. But too often, people in our industry push through in silence. There’s a deep-rooted culture of being “the one others rely on”, the fixer, the provider, the problem-solver. While these traits are valuable, they can sometimes prevent us from reaching out when we need help.

It’s important to understand that resilience doesn’t mean going it alone. It means knowing when to take a step back, seek guidance, and give yourself the same care you offer others.

Practical ways to navigate difficult times

If you’re currently going through a tough period, or supporting someone who is, here are a few simple but effective ways to begin working through challenges, one step at a time:

● Start by talking

Opening up to someone can ease feelings of isolation and offer a fresh perspective. It could be a colleague, a friend, a family member or a trained professional. The first conversation is often the hardest, but it can be the beginning of real change.

● Set small, manageable goals

When everything feels like too much, try breaking things down. Focus on one task at a time. Even small wins like making a call, attending an appointment, or getting outside for a walk can help you feel more in control.

● Be gentle with yourself

When we’re struggling, it’s easy to become self-critical. Remember, you are doing your best with the resources you have right now. Give yourself permission to rest, to ask for help, and to take things at your own pace.

● Take care of the basics

Sleep, nutrition, hydration, and movement may seem simple but they are often the first things to slip when life gets

tough. Try to maintain regular routines where possible. They act as anchors when everything else feels uncertain.

● Use the support available to you

You are not alone. The Electrical Industries Charity offers free, confidential support to anyone working in the electrical or energy sectors and their families. Whether it’s financial assistance, counselling, legal guidance, or wellbeing resources, help is just a phone call or email away.

Wellbeing matters

You might be used to being the one who fixes problems for others. But even the strongest people need someone to lean on now and again. That’s why we’re here.

At EIC, we believe that everyone deserves the chance to thrive, not just survive. Whether you need immediate help or simply someone to talk to, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You don’t have to wait for things to get worse. The earlier you speak up, the sooner support can begin.

If you or someone you know in the electrical industries needs support: practical, emotional, or financial, contact the Electrical Industries Charity today. It’s okay to ask for help. In fact, it might be the most powerful step you take.

FACE TO FACE CRABTREE

In this month’s Face to Face we speak with Alistair Eaton, Commercial Manager at Electrium, and hear about the evolution of the Crabtree brand.

“ We see manufacturing in the UK as hugely important to not only us but also to all our stakeholders, whether they be suppliers, distributors, specifiers or contractors. ”

QWhen was Crabtree founded and how has its product offering evolved over the years?

A. Crabtree was founded in 1919 by John Ashworth Crabtree in Walsall, UK, originally as J.A. Crabtree & Co. Ltd. Starting with light switches, the company quickly expanded into sockets, plugs, and power accessories, becoming a pioneer in electrical engineering. It introduced several industry firsts, including the “Quick Make & Break” switch and the UK’s first earth leakage circuit breaker. Over time, Crabtree diversified into switchgear, fusegear, motor control gear, and panelboards. The launch of Starbreaker in 1979 marked a major advancement in domestic circuit protection, followed by Polestar and Loadstar for commercial use. Since joining the Siemens-owned Electrium Group in 2006, Crabtree has continued to evolve, offering solutions across the residential and commercial sector, while maintaining its legacy of innovation, quality, and trusted performance.

Q

What are Crabtree’s core product ranges?

Crabtree offers a comprehensive range of circuit protection and power distribution products, spanning from 100A singlephase consumer units to 630A panelboards. At the heart of its domestic offering is the innovative Starbreaker range, known for its safety, compliance,

and ease of installation. For commercial and light industrial applications, Loadstar and Polestar provide versatile three-phase distribution board solutions tailored to different installation needs. Fusestar delivers reliable fuse switch disconnection, while Powerstar completes the portfolio with robust panelboards designed for high-capacity installations up to 630A. Together, these ranges reflect Crabtree’s commitment to quality, innovation, and trusted performance across all sectors of the electrical industry.

QDoes Crabtree still manufacture in the UK?

Crabtree is proud to still maintain a significant manufacturing footprint in the UK at our site at Hindley Green. We manufacture all our three phase distribution boards at the site alongside our Wylex and Siemens offering. We see manufacturing in the UK as hugely important to not only us but also to all our stakeholders, whether they be suppliers, distributors, specifiers or contractors. Our UK manufacturing facility empowers us to deliver exceptional quality, faster lead times, and a more resilient supply chain as well as supporting local employment, driving innovation, and supporting our sustainability goals.

QSince its launch in 1979 the Starbreaker brand has remained popular with installers and wholesalers

– what makes it stand out in a crowded marketplace?

Starbreaker is Crabtree’s innovative circuit protection range, offering unmatched safety, reliability, and installation efficiency. Its unique plug-in busbar design reduces connections by 25%, lowering the risk of loose terminals and ensuring secure, consistent device fitting. The fully shrouded busbar provides insulation, preventing accidental contact, arcing, and incorrect device installation, key benefits for social housing and safety-focused projects. Designed for flexibility, Starbreaker supports both bespoke configurations and pre-assembled units, streamlining installation and saving time on site. It’s ideal for new builds and

retrofits, with support for easy upgrades using the latest safety technologies such as surge protection, bidirectional AFDDs, and RCBOs. Built for longevity and compliance, Starbreaker continues to meet the evolving demands of modern electrical installations without compromising on performance.

QWhat does the future hold for the Crabtree brand?

Crabtree is synonymous with quality, innovation, and trusted performance and will continue to enhance its circuit protection portfolio with exciting new products, ensuring it remains the preferred choice for professionals seeking reliability, safety, and forward-thinking design.

“ Crabtree is synonymous with quality, innovation, and trusted performance and will continue to enhance its circuit protection portfolio with exciting new products. ”

THE ALVA SERIES: ACOMMERCIAL OPPORTUNITY FOR ELECTRICAL WHOLESALERS

Why Stock the ALVA Series?

Because electricians already want it.

In today’s competitive wholesale market, success means offering products that electricians trust and that deliver strong margins, reliable sell-through, and minimal returns. The new Di-LOG ALVA Series of Multifunction Testers (MFTs) is already generating demand across the UK, driven by a national marketing campaign and a growing need for affordable, professionalgrade test equipment. Whether your customers are domestic installers, commercial contractors, or EV specialists, the ALVA Series offers a tailored solution and a compelling reason to buy from you.

The ALVA Series includes the ALVA MFT, ALVA MFT Pro, ALVA MFT EV, and ALVA MFT Pro EV, along with the essential EVSE adaptors, DLEVLite and DLEV1. The ALVA MFT is a cost-effective, full-featured tester for everyday testing. The ALVA MFT Pro adds advanced diagnostics and data storage, making it ideal for commercial and industrial work. The ALVA MFT EV is bundled with the DLEVLite adaptor, which connects to Type 2 EV chargers for compliant EVSE testing. The ALVA MFT Pro EV includes the DLEV1 adaptor, which supports both Type 1 and Type 2 chargers and enables full Auto EV safety verification, combining earth loop, 6mA RDC-PD/MD, and RCD tests into a seamless sequence. This modular product line allows you to stock a range of price points and capabilities, appealing to a broad customer base, from sole traders to large contracting firms.

Meeting demand

Electricians today face tighter budgets, stricter regulations, and increasing demand for EV infrastructure. The ALVA Series was designed to meet these challenges head-on. Each tester features a full-colour TFT display and an intuitive interface for fast, accurate readings. Auto Start Loop and Continuity Testing save valuable time on site, while comprehensive RCD testing, covering AC, A, F, B, B+, EV and Selective types, ensures compatibility with both legacy and modern systems. Rechargeable options are available to reduce running costs and minimise downtime, making the range ideal for busy professionals working across multiple sites. For your customers, this means less time testing, fewer errors, and more confidence in their results, all at a price point that makes sense in today’s market. EV testing is a rapidly growing segment, and the ALVA Series offers a complete solution when paired with the appropriate EVSE adaptor. The ALVA MFT performs the critical 6mA RDC-PD/MD test required for EV charge point verification. The ALVA MFT EV, paired with the DLEVLite adaptor, provides a portable and cost-effective solution for testing Type 2 chargers.

For contractors working across both domestic and commercial EV installations, the ALVA MFT Pro EV offers the ultimate package. With the DLEV1 adaptor included, electricians can test both Type 1 and Type 2 chargers and benefit from automated EV safety verification, reducing the risk of oversight and improving efficiency. These kits are already being adopted by contractors working with major EV charge point brands, and they’re looking for local stockists who can supply them quickly.

To support your team, Di-LOG’s regional sales agents will be equipped with demo units of the ALVA Series. This allows your staff to experience the product first-hand and confidently promote it to customers. In-branch training and product walkthroughs are available to help your team understand the key selling points and technical advantages, ensuring they are well-prepared to answer customer questions and close sales.

Support package

One of the biggest differentiators for the ALVA Series is the industry-first optional five-year support package, a major draw for electricians looking to protect their investment. The plan includes annual calibration and firmware updates with a

guaranteed 72-hour turnaround, a five-year warranty on parts and labour, replacement leads in years two and four, and fixed-cost accidental damage repair. This level of aftercare reduces returns, builds customer loyalty, and gives you a powerful upsell opportunity at the point of sale.

Di-LOG is backing the ALVA Series with a national marketing campaign designed to drive awareness and demand. This includes targeted digital advertising to electricians and contractors, trade press coverage and product reviews, and social media campaigns showcasing real-world use cases. In-branch point-of-sale literature is available, along with bespoke digital PDFs and sales videos for your team. Our goal is simple: to make the ALVA Series a must-have for electricians and to make your branch the place they go to get it.

The market is shifting. Electricians are actively seeking affordable, reliable alternatives to premium-priced testers, especially in a tough financial climate. The ALVA Series delivers professional-grade performance at a price point that makes sense. With EV work on the rise and regulatory compliance more important than ever, the demand for multifunction testers is growing and the ALVA Series is perfectly positioned to meet it.

Ready to sell

By stocking the ALVA Series, you’re not just adding another tester to your shelves; you’re offering a complete solution that meets the evolving needs of your customers. With high demand driven by national marketing, strong margins, low return rates, and a flexible range to suit every type of electrician, the ALVA Series is a smart commercial choice. ROUTE TO RADIANCE

With the ongoing drive toward decarbonisation and the shift away from fossil fuel based heating systems, Paul Wilkins, Managing Director of Schwank, looks at the opportunities available when expanding into electric radiant heating solutions.

The UK's race to decarbonise is reshaping how we heat our buildings - and electrical contractors are uniquely placed to benefit. As more commercial and industrial clients move away from fossil fuel-based systems, demand is rising for solutions that are cleaner, simpler to install, and well within the scope of qualified electricians.

Efficient heating

One technology gaining serious ground in this space is electric radiant heating. Once considered niche, these systems are now fast becoming a go-to solution for efficient heating in warehouses, factories, workshops and logistics centres - not least because they offer electrical professionals a new revenue stream with minimal complexity. Unlike traditional convection systems, which heat air and then circulate it throughout a space, radiant heating works by directly warming objects and people in its path. It’s the same principle as the sun: infrared radiation transfers heat without needing to move air.

This has major advantages in industrial and commercial settings, where heating large volumes of air is often inefficient and wasteful. Radiant heating:

● Targets only where heat is needed, saving energy

● Heats up almost instantly, reducing warm-up times

● Doesn’t circulate dust or particulates, ideal for clean environments

● Can be zoned - heating specific workspaces on demand

● Suffers less heat loss through walls or roofs

● Requires virtually no maintenanceespecially when electric-powered

Industrial and commercial

The eSchwank electric radiant range represents the next step in that journey, offering a fully electric solution designed for industrial and commercial applications. The flagship eSchwank S-Series offers a modular approach, with output levels ranging from 6kW to 18kW, and flexible mounting options up to 45°. Built with highly reflective aluminium reflectors, a robust IP42 rating, and replaceable infraGlow heating elements, these units deliver performance and longevity with minimal fuss. They're ideal for warehouses, production halls, or anywhere that needs fast, targeted heat with minimal air disruption.

For lower output needs or more compact spaces, the H-Series, D-Series,

and EZ-Series provide options from 2kW to 6kW, including IP44-rated units and plugand-play functionality - perfect for sports halls, workshops, retail areas and more.

Simplicity and accessibility

While many modern heating solutionssuch as air source heat pumps - require specialist certification (including F-Gas), the beauty of electric radiant heating is its simplicity and accessibility. These systems can be installed entirely by qualified electricians, without the need for gas-safe engineers, refrigerant handling skills, or complex servicing arrangements. That translates into:

● New installation revenue with no certification barriers

● Simple quoting and fast project turnaround

● Retrofit opportunities for customers replacing gas-fired units

● Ongoing relationships through future upgrades or zonal expansions

This is particularly attractive for electrical firms seeking to diversify as part of the energy transition. In many cases, contractors are already on-site for electrical installations - now, with systems like eSchwank, they can offer a complete heating solution as well.

Heating strategy

The UK Government has made clear its direction of travel: Net Zero by 2050, restrictions on gas boilers in new buildings from 2025, and growing pressure on highcarbon building stock to decarbonise.

Businesses are under increasing scrutiny to lower emissions, improve energy efficiency, and eliminate fossil fuel reliance - especially in their heating strategies.

Electric radiant heating ticks every box:

● Zero on-site emissions

● Fast installation

● Easy to control and zone

● Lower total cost of ownership over time

For contractors, this presents a dual opportunity: not just to offer a futureproof heating solution, but to become trusted advisors in their customers’ Net Zero journey. Whether you're retrofitting or designing a new system, these heaters are ideal for:

● Warehouses with high ceilings needing zoned warmth for workstations

● Distribution centres or loading bays exposed to cold air

● Workshops and garages with limited space for conventional heating

● Retail areas and sports facilities

requiring discreet, efficient warmth Installation requires only a standard 3-phase electrical connection (400V, 50Hz). There’s no need for F-Gas, plumbing, or gas safety certification - making this an ideal fit for qualified electricians. Brackets and mounting options are flexible, and the eSchwank range comes with full installation instructions.

Control options are equally flexible. Systems can be paired with basic thermostats or advanced building management systems, enabling time scheduling, zonal control, and energy optimisation. This adaptability helps electricians deliver tailored solutions across a wide range of applications.

Clients are increasingly asking how to reduce carbon emissions, save energy, or move away from gas. Electric radiant heating gives you a clear and credible answer. Top benefits to highlight include:

● Fast, targeted heat with no warm-up time

● No ducts, no air movement - cleaner, safer working conditions

● Electric-only install - no need for gas engineers or annual servicing

● Scalable system - start small and add zones as needed

● Supports Net Zero and sustainability goals

Proven technology

Whether it’s a small engineering firm or a large distribution centre, these are messages that resonate with decisionmakers trying to meet ESG goals without major capital investment.

Electric radiant heating isn’t just a stopgap or niche solution - it’s a smart, scalable and proven technology ready to support the UK's transition to low-carbon heat. For electrical contractors, it’s a genuine growth area: practical to install, profitable to deliver, and perfectly aligned with the direction of travel for energy policy and commercial investment.

Matt Parton, Product Manager

with ESP and Sangamo – part of Scolmore Group –looks at how understanding heating controls can help householders and businesses during the continued energy bills crisis.

UNDER CONTROL

The latest UK energy price cap rise will see a typical household's annual bill increase by 2% - an extra £35starting in October 2025, following recent announcements by Ofgem. This latest rise has once again put electricity costs under the spotlight, with implications for households, businesses and the wider electrical trade. For contractors, installers and manufacturers, this shift is more than just a headline number - it directly influences demand for energy efficient technologies, smart systems and renewable solutions as customers look for ways to mitigate rising bills.

Understanding heating controls

Heating controls regulate the temperature and operation of heating systems. When used correctly, they ensure that energy is only consumed when needed, avoiding unnecessary heating. Effective heating control can lead to a reduction in energy wastage, which directly translates into cost savings.

Householders are continuing to look at ways to reduce their energy consumption to help combat rising bills. Understanding how their heating system is performing and how they can make small changes to improve its efficiency is one consideration. Research shows that few people really understand their heating controls and many simply just don’t use them. This is where installers, supported by manufacturers and wholesalers, can play a part in advising and educating consumers on the best products for their circumstances and how to use them.

TPI control

Modern controls are designed to allow you to get the best energy efficiency possible from the heating system. Look out for those with TPI (Time Proportional & Integral) control - a feature in room thermostats that ensures the boiler fires for the shortest possible time in order to reach and maintain a room at the comfort level selected and thus optimise heating efficiency.

Tamper protected thermostat

With a tamperproof thermostat the ‘temperature set’ dial is hidden away, and the set temperature can be maintained without interference. This is particularly advantageous for landlords or where the thermostat is installed in public areas. If a thermostat is set unnecessarily high, this will lead to uncomfortable temperatures and higher than necessary bills.

Programmable thermostat

A programmable thermostat gives the user an option to schedule at what time and day a call for heat can be made, thus reducing the possibility of wasting energy when the property is empty. This is advantageous when the occupants are at work and therefore do not have to remember to switch the heating ON/OFF manually. A programmable thermostat ensures that the heating is not activated longer than required. Sangamo’s three-channel programmable thermostat, with RF and WiFi, provides the means to operate and control separate heating zones within a residential property and in doing so increase efficiency and reduce energy use and utility costs. The kit is suitable for properties with two-zoned heating systems and is designed to help installers comply with the requirements of Part L Building

Regulations where two zone heating is stipulated. The kit comprises two RF programmable room thermostats to control heating over two zones and hot water programming, and one receiver complete with three independent channels – two for heating and one for hot water. The system can be programmed and controlled directly or remotely via the ClickSmart+ app.

Immersion heater control

For some systems immersion heaters are used. A metal element heats up a water cylinder and it can take between one to two hours to produce hot water. An immersion heater is manually switched by the user, which means there is the risk that they will not remember to turn it off. Timer controlled solutions can ensure that the immersion heater is switched off after a set duration. In addition programmable timer controllers can be used to schedule exactly when the immersion heater is switched on, automatically ensuring hot water is available when required.

Smart controls

The evolution of smart technology continues to play a key role in energy efficiency. It provides homeowners with a real opportunity to make conscious decisions about how they heat their homes and what effect this can have on their energy bills. A smart thermostat is something that installers can easily add to their customers’ home heating, allowing householders to control and monitor the room temperature and thermostat activity from anywhere in the world, via an app on a smart phone or tablet.

The Sangamo Wi-Fi controlled thermostat is controlled through the

subscription-free ClickSmart+ app from Scolmore. It offers energy efficient programming and with remote access via the app, it allows for constant monitoring and control at your fingertips. Key features of the thermostat that will help with the control of energy usage include the optimal start function and the open window/door detection feature.

Heating strategies

Understanding and effectively using heating controls is a simple yet powerful way to reduce energy consumption and lower utility bills. By implementing smart heating strategies and utilising modern controls, individuals and business owners can achieve comfortable indoor environments while contributing to energy conservation efforts. Small adjustments in heating habits can lead to significant long-term savings and a reduced carbon footprint.

Hannah Liscombe,

of Marketing at Knightsbridge, highlights two areas of interest when it comes to trends in wiring accessories.

TREND SETTERS

Brass is back! That’s the overwhelming conclusion we’ve come to at Knightsbridge, taking into account what we’ve seen over the last couple of years in terms of wiring accessory sales. ‘Brasses’ as a finish option have surged in popularity, so much so that they are leaving matt black in their wake. Antique brass, in particular, is proving to be a major hit with the trade and consumers alike.

The appeal of brass is no doubt helped by the combination of finishes and styles in switches and sockets, allowing consumers to mix and match depending on their tastes and requirements. The recent introduction of our screwless antique brass range has increased choice yet further and the finish is rapidly becoming one of the most popular choices in our brasses options.

Obviously, the question remains why brass should become so popular when matt black has dominated the design stakes for so long. A definitive answer is probably difficult to arrive at, but we can look at the wider design environment for specific influences.

Striking a chord with homeowners

At the beginning of the year a few ‘interiors’ magazines were touting mixing metal finishes as opposed to matching them, citing examples of pairing warm metals like brass and copper with cooler ones like stainless

steel or brushed nickel.

Maybe this has struck a chord with homeowners, and we are seeing an increase in the use of brass finishes as a result. Another view is that homeowners are seeking what might be termed ‘timeless’ luxury, an enduring and lasting aesthetic that brass carries off so well. There’s also the practical element that brass tones can be paired with kitchen and bathroom hardware such as taps and handles, which allows wiring accessories to be seen as a design feature rather than simply functional.

Power to the people

If brass is the newish trendsetter, there has been a reoccurring theme for us at Knightsbridge over the last few years and that has been around delivering faster and more efficient charging for modern devices. The sheer number of phones, tablets and laptops in the home or office means that charging points are in demand and become a bottleneck that is often resolved through the creative use of adaptors, chargers and extension leads!

In a bid to create a more efficient, speedier way of charging devices, we came up with the 13A double pole switched socket

with dual USB-C (65W Dual Fastcharge). It is one of the UK market’s most powerful dual sockets featuring USB charging and represents an important upgrade to our existing 45W model. Between the two sockets, Knightsbridge offers a choice of performance and versatility to meet the needs of busy office personnel, impatient teenagers or despairing parents.

The socket features dual USB-C outputs that can deliver up to 65W total power. Users can charge two devices simultaneously at 45W and 18W or power a single device, such as a laptop, at the full 65W without any need for bulky adaptors.

Rather than split power between ports, the 65W Dual Fastcharge model ensures optimal performance even when charging multiple devices. Supporting USB-PD (power delivery) and PPS (programmable power supply) protocols, it provides universal compatibility with smartphones, tablets and laptops. At the core of the socket’s performance is GaN (Gallium Nitride) technology, achieving over 94% efficiency while reducing energy loss and

heat, making this product an energyconscious choice without compromising on charging speed or reliability.

Designed with a double pole switch, outboard rocker and twin earthing points, the socket combines functionality and style. Its installation-friendly design simplifies upgrades without extensive rewiring. With over voltage category III suitability and ErP standby power consumption of just 0.1W, it offers versatility and energy efficiency.

Modern and traditional environments

To complement a wide variety of settings, the 13A switched socket is available in four styles: raised edge square, raised edge

round, curved edge and screwless designs. Each option blends seamlessly with different interior aesthetics, ensuring the socket suits both modern and traditional environments.

Built with premium-grade metals for durability, the socket includes advanced safety features such as overcurrent, overload and overheat protection, ensuring peace of mind for users. It is an ideal solution for domestic and commercial spaces, offering high-speed, reliable power delivery without compromising on safety or design.

We believe that this latest innovation exemplifies our commitment to continuous improvement. By integrating advanced technology and enhanced performance into every product, we want to remain at the forefront of the wiring accessories and lighting sector.

BACK TO POOL

Idigitalise their businesses. This the supply chain and available for wholesalers’ e-commerce platforms.

Margaret Fitzsimons, CEO of the Electrical Distributors’ Association, explains how the EDA’s product data pool is giving wholesalers access to the best product information for use in their business.

Manufacturers are the guardians of their product information – they know the part number, GTIN code, technical spec, measurements, performance, marketing wording, packaging and sustainability information, and have images in various orientations and colour-ways, and so on. The problem was, each manufacturer organised this information differently. For wholesalers dealing with multiple suppliers this was a massive headache. Over several years, the EDA team worked with manufacturers to standardise the way their data was classified and shared using the universal ETIM data standard as their starting point.

By 2020 plans were formed to create a standardised, cloud based portal where the information about manufacturers’

consistent format and graded for quality, consistency and completeness. The EDATA data pool was born.

Fast forward a few years, and by mid2025 EDATA has swelled to offer valuable, enriched, deep, comprehensive technical information and images on over 300,000 products sold through UK electrical wholesalers. This volume grows daily, with over 200 leading electrotechnical brands opting to share their product information and images with multiple wholesalers via the data pool. It picked up a national Innovation of the Year Award in 2024.

EDATA is a ‘by the industry, for the industry’ enterprise governed by a board of equal numbers of wholesalers and manufacturers. Its strategic direction is determined by a Steering Group of representatives from 29 business sponsors

– leading wholesalers and manufacturers that have committed to support EDATA and to volunteer time towards its development.

Three reasons why the EDATA data pool is so powerful

informative: information on hundreds of thousands of products available on demand to enhance wholesalers’ customer service.

intelligent: product descriptions, technical information, and images, all to the highest specification, to populate web sites and support sales.

indispensable: download Product Data Sheets, in a consistent format, for quotes, tenders, submittals, and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.

Here’s how EDA Wholesalers are using the EDATA data pool

Trade counter customer service: where speed, accuracy and efficiency matter

● Immediate access to an online portal with high-quality information on hundreds of thousands of SKUs in one time-saving hub.

● Download individual product data sheets to support sales conversations.

For Tenders, Submittals and Operation & Maintenance Manuals

● Time consuming, complex and often high stakes, anything that can transform response times and help wholesalers win more business is good news – and the EDATA data pool can do just that.

● New products and specification changes would be impossible to track if wholesalers had to deal with each manufacturer separately. EDATA keeps it all in one central hub.

● Wholesalers tell us how much they value EDATA’s PDF Product Data Sheets: created on demand using the latest information and images inside the data pool, making it easier for your customers to compare like-with-like.

Reporting

on sustainability and packaging data

● Introduced in 2025, sustainability and packaging info, including embodied carbon, recycled content, WEEE/RoHS/REACH, energy efficiency as well as packaging volumetrics and material breakdown, plus other valuable data.

E-commerce, click and collect services: where compelling images and product descriptions drive sales

● Bulk download the latest product descriptions, marketing bullet points, technical spec and images from the data pool to drive websites, e-shops and click and collect services.

Still re-keying information for printed catalogues and e-catalogues?

● Re-keying information is a timeconsuming and resource-heavy process, it also increases the risk of errors. Far better to streamline the whole project and take a feed of images and product information direct from EDATA.

EDATA integrates with your business software

● Work continues to integrate EDATA with wholesalers’ business systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management and stock control software, Product Information Management (PIM) systems and so on.

● Some software providers have already completed their EDATA integration with many EDA Wholesalers already benefitting from EDATA’s rich product information and images.

PARTING WITH PAPERWORK

From humble beginnings in a garden shed, Waterlip Electrical Contracting (WEC) has grown into a busy familyrun business with 13 staff and a full schedule of commercial, industrial and domestic electrical work.

Outdated

Founder Connor started the company six years ago and has built the team around trusted family and friends. But as the business grew, so did the paperworkand it soon became clear the old systems weren’t going to keep up.

“We were keeping up with the work, but we were just filling up our office with filing cabinets. Everything was on papertesting, job sheets, materials. It became a nightmare to manage,” he said. To help manage the growth, the company adopted Fergus - and halved its admin load.

Before Fergus, WEC was handling everything manually. Job details were typed up in the office, printed out for the team, and returned at the end of the week in a stack of handwritten job sheets.

We

hear how a contracting firm has utilised job management software to cut down on a mountain of paperwork.

Those job sheets were then entered into Excel for costing, cross-checked with supplier pricing, marked up, and eventually entered into accounting software for invoicing.

“We had someone in the office all week just copying up paperwork. Then we’d print it out again if we needed it. It wasjust a massive time waste,” explained Connor. This manual workflow became harder to manage as the team expanded and job volume increased.

“It’s been really hard trying to grow the business when you’re relying on spreadsheets and paperwork. There was no easy way tomanage everything in one place.”

Since implementing Fergus, WEC has been able to streamline operations and free up key admin time.

“Now the lads get to site and everything they need is on their phones. Job sheets, materials, notes - it’s all there. And they’re filling it in properly every time, which never used to happen,” Connor continued.

Connor estimates that just from automating job sheets alone, the business has saved four days a week of admin time - freeing up one team member to get back on the tools and another to focus on higher-value office work.

“I can invoice a customer before the lads have even left site. That used to take hours, now it takes minutes. Also, the lads would take photos on their phones and we’d spend hours uploading everything to Dropbox. Now they use the Fergus app and it’s instantly in the system, even if we’re 150 miles away.”

Having everything in one place has been a game-changer for Connor, who now has time to focus on developing the business.

The results

By moving away from paper-based processes and bringing the team onto Fergus, WEC has:

● Freed up around four days of admin time every week

● Reduced manual data entry and duplicated work

● Improved visibility across all jobs

● Accelerated invoicing and improved cash flow

● Given the team more time to focus on customers and growth

“It’s completely changed everything we do. Fergus has saved us so much time and stress,” said Connor.

GRID REFERENCE

As recently as 2015, just 2.8% of car sales in the UK were electric and hybrid vehicles.

Fast forward to 2024, and there were 550,000 new electric vehicles (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) registered within 12 months –around 28.2% of the entire UK car park. This figure will continue to climb as the UK Government’s impending 2035 vehicle ban for new petrol and diesel cars and vans approaches.

In fact, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders predicts that more than 2 million EVs will be sold in 2035, highlighting the significant shift ahead. This will undoubtedly be an important part of the UK’s 2050 Net Zero ambitions, but there are also other important factors to consider.

Rise of home charging

While the operation of an EV produces no tailpipe emissions, it still requires energy. Fortunately, here in the UK, approximately 58% of our energy generation comes from low-carbon sources. This is predicted to grow to around 99% by 2035. This means that the vast majority of EV miles in 2035 will have no direct emissions from usage.

At the same time, however, it is important to understand behavioural trends among EV drivers. Currently, 85% of all EV charging is said to take place on the driveway. This makes the widespread installation of home chargers an integral part of EV adoption and the backbone of future personal transportation. Fortunately, in mid-2022, Part S of the Building Regulations came into effect. The regulation requires all new homes and buildings to be fitted with a

“ Policymakers need to understand that meeting emissions targets and transitioning to EVs will also require investment in energy infrastructure.”

As more UK motorists and fleets switch to electric vehicles, the requirements for electric infrastructure are evolving. Lee Sutton, co-founder and chief innovation officer of myenergi, explores the mobility transition and reducing reliance on the grid.

smart EV charger.

But with all these new EVs, PHEVs and home chargers drawing power from mains supply, how will the grid be able to manage the load?

Bearing the load

This cumulative demand presents a significant challenge, particularly considering that most motorists will want to charge their car after returning home from work. This sharp peak, which coincides with pre-established evening energy peaks is one of the reasons why the UK legislated a requirement for all EV chargers to be equipped with ‘smart charging’.

Smart charging was introduced in the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021. It stipulated that chargers must have the ability to schedule charging during off-peak periods or when renewable energy generation is high, thereby reducing demand on the grid during peak times.

While this is an excellent stopgap, there is still a question of long-term grid functionality, necessitating widespread network upgrades and maintenance. Policymakers need to understand that meeting emissions targets and transitioning to EVs will also require investment in energy infrastructure, beyond the building of new renewable generation sites.

Household adaptation

While policy decisions remain with those in power, there are proactive options for all of us to consider. One example is the implementation of off-peak tariffs, like those offered by Octopus Energy, which help to further reduce grid demand by incentivising recharging during lowdemand periods.

The most effective option for households is to invest in home energy microgeneration systems, such as rooftop solar and small wind turbines. When combined with a large ‘home’ battery, these allow a household to generate and store its own energy. This has two effects: firstly, it provides greater energy

independence and minimises reliance on the grid; and secondly, it alleviates pressure on the national grid.

When it comes to EV charging, this stored energy can be deployed outside of peak generation time. It means that households can generate during the day, power their home in the evening, and recharge their EV overnight – all with little to no need for the grid.

At myenergi, we understand the importance of proactivity – our range of eco-smart products is relied upon by households across the UK. For example, our EV charger zappi allows users to recharge their EVs with 100% selfgenerated renewable energy. Households can also divert renewable energy to domestic heating systems with our power diverter, eddi. We can even help customers

automatically optimise energy storage based on the energy being used, how much is generated from renewables, and their electricity tariff, with our intelligent home energy storage system, libbi.

Thousands of myenergi customers are also already playing their part through offering their devices for Demand Side Response (DSR) services, where they essentially remain ‘on standby’ for the grid at times of peak demand, and can adjust their charge rate remotely to either turn down or pause if demand is high and capacity is needed, or turn their consumption up if there is surplus generation that needs to be soaked up to make the grid work as efficiently as possible.

Self-generated

As the number of plug-in vehicles rises, eco-smart devices like these will play a crucial role in enabling consumers to be more energy efficient. We have already witnessed immense progress in the campaign to lower transport and power generation emissions. As the UK progresses towards 2035, it needs to consider the implications of mass EV adoption and better enable households to access self-generated renewables.

MARTINDALE ELECTRIC EV SOCKET TESTER

Martindale Electric has unveiled its EV socket tester. The BZ820-EV EV socket tester from Martindale Electric performs functional electrical checks on electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) charge points with Type-2 connectors.

Ideal for contractors and installers, the single phase BZ820-EV is ideal for checking EV chargers fitted with Type-2 connectors. It’s quick and easy to use, but thorough – detecting 28 wiring fault conditions and also checking and indicating the voltage supply level as high or low.

Correct polarity is indicated by three flash¬ing green LEDs and a continuous audible tone, while fault conditions are clearly indicated by three red LEDs and an intermittent warning buzzer. Socket polarity and earth wiring faults, meanwhile, are identified by a combination of red LEDs. Plus, a look up chart on the tester provides basic fault diagnosis.

With the BZ820-EV connecting directly to an EVSE charging point using the Type-2 connector, the integral CP mode, four-position slider switch allows vehicle states to be simulated: - no vehicle connected is (A), vehicle connected but not ready to charge (B), vehicle connected and ready to charge, (test mode C). The additional “E” (error) setting simulates failure of the CP signal, which causes the charger to inhibit charging.

A look at the latest display solutions to help increase your in-store purchases.

VISIBLE AND VERSATILE

Switchtec has announced the launch of its new POS slat wall display along with refreshed, high-impact SCL-branded packaging. Specifically designed for the wholesale sector, the new display offers a dynamic and visually engaging solution to drive sales and enhance product visibility in-store.

The slat wall display features a carefully selected standard product profile, including relays, contactors, thermal overload relays, pushbutton enclosures, key switches, LED indicators and industrial plugs and sockets. This versatile setup delivers a comprehensive offering of essential control gear products aimed at contractors and installers.

To meet the diverse needs of wholesalers, the stock profile can be easily customised, ensuring that each display aligns with specific customer demands and stocking requirements.

“We’re excited to bring a more vibrant

and accessible display solution to our wholesale partners,” said Nick Morgan, Sales Director at Switchtec. “The new POS display not only enhances brand presence but also simplifies the selection process for end users on the shop floor.”

Space-saving POS boards also available

For branches with limited floor space, Switchtec also offers compact POS boards. These visually striking boards showcase product range images rather than physical stock, allowing wholesalers to maximise space while still promoting key product lines. One of the key advantages of this solution is space optimisation. By removing the need to physically display products, wholesalers can streamline their operations while maintaining a strong visual merchandising presence. Customers can easily browse and choose items from the image based display, with products held securely in stock within the branch.

Enhanced digital access

Each POS unit includes a QR code, linking directly to Switchtec’s website. This feature provides instant access to up-to-date product details, technical specifications, quality approvals, product dimensions and order codes - offering an enriched customer experience and aiding in efficient purchasing decisions.

To complement the POS displays, Switchtec has produced a new Industrial Control Solutions brochure, highlighting key product ranges available which complements the products on the POS board.

Martin Thompson, Technical Services Manager & Sustainability Lead from Tridonic UK, gives an insight into the manufacturer’s current focus on sustainability and plans for the future to keep driving towards Net Zero. He also shares the successful overhaul of Tridonic’s Spennymoor facility, using the sustainability principles that the company is renowned for.

“ The sustainability strategy gives us and our partners a clear focus on how we can work together to reduce our environmental footprint.”

At Tridonic, we’ve worked hard to establish a reputation across the global lighting sector for our sustainable lighting solutions that are manufactured responsibly. Our commitment to environmentally friendly lighting technology is based on a vision of realising the full potential of light and making a positive contribution to the planet and community through our solutions.

the environmental impact of processes across our value chains. Organised into three pillars, the sustainability strategy gives us and our partners a clear focus on how we can work together to reduce our environmental footprint for a sustainable future.

Of course, this has to be underpinned by a commitment to improving our own practices and policies. We formalised this back in 2021, when we created the ‘Sustainable Tridonic’ sustainability strategy and more recently our UK specific sustainability pillar in the Tridonic360 campaign. This strategy holds us to account on how we minimise

The first pillar is sustainable products, which sets out how we minimise resource consumption, using materials more efficiently and increasing the proportion of recyclable raw materials. Circular design concepts are proven in our Cradle to Cradle (C2C) LED drivers and modules, products created for the long-term allowing them to be reused in a new cycle. Our goal is to align our premium product portfolio by 2030 with the Cradle to Cradle design concept.

Looking further at our own practices, we have continued to implement circular processes and optimise production for sustainability. The company’s packaging has been converted to 80-90% recycled cardboard, significantly reducing carbon emissions.

The second pillar is being a partner of choice. This is where we build responsible and sustainable cooperation with trust based collaboration – as an employer or technology partner, and with our suppliers.

The final pillar is environmental protection. Here we focus on reducing CO2 emissions across our company’s value chain. We also concentrate on reducing greenhouse gas emissions in our manufacturing sites’ production and operation processes. It is through this pillar that we have undertaken a recent overhaul of our Spennymoor facility, using a range of Tridonic lighting solutions.

The Spennymoor site, which encompasses a Tridonic factory, test facilities and offices, is a prime example of how facilities managers can have a data-driven workplace strategy to drive long-term sustainability.

“ We also concentrate on reducing greenhouse gas emissions in our manufacturing sites’ production and operation processes.”

A recent upgrade to the facility’s lighting, using Tridonic solutions, has delivered an array of impressive energy savings and associated cost reductions. The upgrade has been completed utilising the introduction of Tridonic’s Building Asset 360 market approach, which included the replacement of outdated fluorescent lighting to LED lighting and controls.

Performance & health

Building Asset 360 market approach is built on the principle of seeing luminaires as more than just sources of light and enables the exploration of data on the performance and health of each luminaire.

This market approach encompasses all Tridonic solutions including wireless lighting and wireless emergency lighting. It also embraces the interoperability between other systems such as BMS for a market that is requiring retrofit solutions. In many cases, it can leverage assets that already exist with the building.

The result over just the initial three phases of the upgrade – offices, production hall, warehouse, compressor room, outside canopy and mezzanine –delivered savings of approximately 181MWhrs per annum. This is a 50% saving, securing a reduction in energy expenditure of £65,000 each year.

Spennymoor is now a fully-functioning, sustainable workplace that is not just collecting data, but converting these valuable insights into actions that make a big difference. This is not the end of the journey for Tridonic, however, and further energy saving projects, such as the implementation of daylight harvesting, are in the pipeline for the future. Tridonic will maintain momentum in innovating and exploring new ways to reduce our carbon footprint, while supporting clients and partners to do the same.
