ESPAÑOL Es una artista multidisciplinar que vive en Nueva York. Se licenció en ilustración en la Escuela de Artes Visuales (SVA) y actualmente está cursando un máster en Bellas Artes en la Escuela de Artes Visuales (SVA), cuya graduación está prevista para mayo de 2022. “Mi trabajo tiene sus raíces en los recuerdos nostálgicos de la infancia, la ansiedad y el sentimiento de ser un individuo en una sociedad abarrotada y ocupada. Quiero que mi obra refleje estos ambientes nostálgicos de la vida y mis relaciones con la gente. Mi trabajo es un proceso de constante consuelo y desarrollo de mí mismo. Al enfrentarme a los momentos del pasado a través de mi obra, puedo meditar sobre los sentimientos que he rechazado. A través de mi proceso de trabajo, me armo de valor para compartir mis relatos con el mundo. Todos tenemos recuerdos y valores personales. A través de mi trabajo, conecto con personas que tienen las mismas preocupaciones y dificultades que yo, como una forma de empatizar y sanar. Utilizo mi proceso como una forma de encontrar no sólo mi comunidad, sino un público más amplio”. Ailyn Lee
ENGLISH She is a multidisciplinary artist living in New York. She received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts (BFA) in Illustration from The School of Visual Arts (SVA). She is currently pursuing an MFA also at SVA. She is expected to graduate with her Master’s degree in May 2022. “My work is rooted in nostalgic childhood memories, anxiety, and the feeling of being an individual in a crowded and busy society. I want my work to reflect these nostalgic environments of life and my relationships with people. My work is a process of constantly comforting and developing myself. By facing the moments of the past through my work, I can meditate on the feelings I rejected. Through my work process, I build the courage to share my narratives with the world. We all have personal memories and values. Through my work, I connect with people who have the same concerns and difficulties as I do as a way to empathize and heal.
