Tras graduarse en la Universidad Politécnica de Hong Kong, donde David se especializó en diseño gráfi co, entró en el campo de la publicidad como director artístico. En el año 2006, David decidió hacer una pausa en su carrera publicitaria y acudió a la Academia de Cine de Nueva York para estudiar cinematografía y dirección con el fi n de perseguir una nueva visión como director de cine. David también tiene un máster en Estudios Budistas donde se encendió y creó “Twisted Marks of Aura”. El objetivo de David es crear arte en forma de purifi cación. David realiza exposiciones individuales una vez al año en Hong Kong desde 2015.

“Náufrago de la cáscara de la forma humana y la materialidad, y lo que queda es Aura y Qi / Aire, que fl uye y refl uye con la conciencia, corriendo sólo en la energía. Esta es la inspiración original de esta colección: la fuente misma de la vida. Desde las observaciones más superfi ciales hasta las capas más profundas del pensamiento, busco la forma más tangible e íntima de describir, caracterizar y retorcer los detalles más pequeños de una historia; los mayores dolores y tribulaciones de la vida; los sentimientos más indescriptibles; los recuerdos más arraigados; trazo a trazo de abstracción y realidad, en pantallas y lienzos. Siento el mundo y sus sentimientos, y cuento sus historias”.

After graduating from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University where David majored in graphic design, he entered the advertising fi eld as an Art Director. In 2006, David decided to give his advertising career a pause and went to the New York Film Academy to study fi lmmaking and directing to pursue a new vision as a fi lm director. David also holds a master’s degree in Buddhist studies where he got ignited and created Twisted Marks of Aura. David’s objective is to create art in a purifi cation form. David has held solo exhibitions once a year in Hong Kong since 2015. “Castaway the shell of the human form and materiality, and what is left is Aura and Qi/Air, ebbing and fl owing with consciousness, running on energy alone. This is the original inspiration behind this collection—the very source of life. From the most surface observations to the deepest layers of thought, I seek the most tangible and most intimate way to describe, to characterize and to twist the smallest details in a story; the greatest pain and tribulations in life; the most indescribable feelings; the most ingrained memories; stroke by stroke of abstractness and reality, on screens and canvases. I feel the world and its feelings, and I tell its stories.”
