VERANSTALTUNGEN/KALENDER/NEWS EVENTS/DIARY/NEWS Frankfurt School Summer and Winter Academies 2012 Latest trends and know-how in development finance Frankfurt School of Finance & Management organises a wide range of Academies for professionals and executives in development finance. Each focuses on a specific aspect. The Microfinance Principles Academy (Frankfurt, July 6-7) offers first insights into microfinance, and is specially intended for newcomers. The Micro & SME Banking Summer Academy (Frankfurt, July 8-13) goes into much greater detail, hence is the right choice for microfinance practitioners and bankers. Not only does it cover technical issues, it also provides opportunities to refine management skills. The latest microbanking trends will also be discussed. Due to popular demand, the Sustainable Energy Finance Summer Academy will be offered twice in 2012: in Frankfurt (July 15-20) and, with a special focus on Africa, in Nairobi (October 21-26). The Housing Finance Summer Academy for 2012 (Frankfurt, July 22-27) is being organised in cooperation with the Indian Housing Development Corporation. And for the first time, Frankfurt School is offering a Microfinance Winter Academy in cooperation with ACLEDA Training Centre. This will take place in Cambodia (November 18-23), and will combine international best practices with practical, real-life examples from ACLEDA Bank projects under the heading “Real Cases in Real Places”. All Academies are taught by Frankfurt School faculty members and experienced industry practitioners. Lectures, seminars, workshops and presentations make for lively and varied schedules. There will be plenty of opportunities to network with participants, lecturers and Frankfurt School team members. All graduates are invited to stay in touch with each other, with Frankfurt School and with graduates in previous years through the School’s Friends Programme and online portal ( www.friends.fs.de).
