Did you Know?
Did you know that lawn clippings, leaves, and other yard waste can carry fertilizers, pesticides, and excess nutrients into our waterways? This can cause algal blooms and harm water quality. Yard waste can also clog storm drains, leading to flooding.
What
You Can Do
• Don’t blow or sweep leaves and yard waste into the street or storm drains.
• Use a mulching mower to leave clippings on your lawn.
• Compost leaves and other yard waste.
