Art Spotlight:

Field of Blue
Located in Liberty Plaza, “Field of Blue” is a breathtaking bronze sculpture in honor of those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice. The artist, George W. Lundeen, studied at the Academia de Bello Arte in Florence, Italy, and has been commissioned to create pieces for universities, municipalities and other organizations across the U.S. Liberty Plaza was established in 2007 as a place to rest, reflect and celebrate America and those who have defended our freedom. Within the park, “Field of Blue” and other public art can be found in the Veterans Walk of Honor, a memorial dedicated to the Farmers Branch residents who answered the call to protect our country.
Liberty Plaza and the Veterans Walk of Honor are located behind the Children’s Health StarCenter at 12700 N. Stemmons Fwy. Visit farmersbranchtx.gov/artsandculture to learn more about the City’s public art.
