Annually on 10 April, the world celebrates “International Homeopathic Day” named after its founder- Samuel Hahnemann, a respected doctor in Germany. (1755-1843) Hahnemann discovered homeopathy and opened a whole new world of healing through regulated, diluted doses of natural minerals and herbs to heal each individual patient. Many years later doctors, delegates and special members of the international homeopathic society travel across the globe to gather in their appreciation and mutual work of homeopathy.

Last year the Homeopathy Convention was celebrated in Turkey and in 2021, in India.

This year, South Africa was the country of choice and so it was decided by our HASA president doctor Bianca de Canha and the President of LMHI, Dr Altunay Agaoglu from Turkey, to start the week in celebration of this auspicious occasion with the naming and planting of the very new, fragrant, peach rose carefully selected and grown by Ludwig and Halmar Tashner.

It was a great honour to have the exquisite Apothecary rose unveiled, and 10 roses planted in the Gardens of Remembrance at the Margaret Roberts Herbal Centre, De Wildt. These roses were gifted to Margaret and Sandy Roberts for their many years of worldwide work with healing plants and Homeopathy. Margaret Roberts was an invaluable contributor to herbs and homeopathy awareness internationally, her daughter Sandy, continues their work with healing plants at the Centre in De Wildt, Northwest Province.

These beautiful roses can be viewed at the Margaret Roberts Herbal Centre gardens and ordered from Ludwig’s Roses directly.
