EDITOR’S NOTE
by AnnC Editor-in-Chief

In this final issue of 2024, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of our talented writers for their outstanding contributions. It's your work that keeps us among the finest online magazines in the world!
We're excited to feature Dr. LaQuita Johnson Gaskins on our cover with one of her horses. Her remarkable impact on health and community activism has garnered both local and national recognition. Alongside her husband, she dedicates her time and energy to uplifting their community and church family. Be sure to catch her engaging radio program on Envision Radio every Saturday at 11 a.m. EST!
For the first time, we're thrilled to include Spanish articles in our magazine! One of our featured writers, Berta Weyenberg, is a Bell Award winner and MOSAIC recipient, with over 25 years of experience in Kentucky community relations and faith encouragement.
I want to also recognize one of our interns Elise Cannon who was recognized earlier this year for her art in Louisville, Ky & for her guidance in our choice of a new logo for the magazine. She is 15 years old and we are grateful for her input & dedication.

Top Ten with Dr. LaQuita Gaskins
by ANN C. Editor-in-Chief
1. You are an advocate of health. What made you become a health professional? What are your titles in health? What made me become a health professional? Life! Over my lifetime I grew up in a family of mostly women. The women in my family are leaders. We have always cared for each other and others needing our help. Watching my grandmother and Mother nurture and take care of almost everyone. I naturally took on the traits. From Midwife birth to the elderly geriatric. With all my life experiences, I have many degrees and certifications in the medical field.
● Certified Nursing Assistant
● Herbalist
● Naturopathic Practitioner
● Licensed Professional Counselor Associate
● Veterinarian Assistant
2. Do you believe Covid is behind us? Will it come back?
My belief about COVID is firm. I see it as a man-made disease that has been around for over 50 years, with documented evidence of its existence. I believe it was used as a biological weapon, with devastating consequences. This is not a new concept, as such tactics have been used for testing and warfare in the past. I don't see COVID as something that can be cured, but it can certainly be managed with the right approach.
3. What does eating healthy really mean to you?
Healthy eating to me is good nutrition, eating adequate, balanced meals to support your body's needs. Including considering your blood type and physical body build. Good nutrition would consist of whole foods (no by products or processed foods), fresh fruits and fresh vegetables. When it comes to healthy eating, it's not just about counting calories. The real focus should be on nutrients. Your body thrives on a balanced intake of protein, carbs, fat, vitamins, and minerals. This is the key to a diversified, balanced, healthy diet tailored to your characteristics.
4. How long have you been married? Your advice on having a long, successful marriage.
I have been married this year for precisely 30 years. My advice for having a long, successful marriage. I thought it was safe for me to allow my husband and myself room to grow. Allow us to make mistakes and not take them personally. After all, we are traumatized individuals trying to live as one. Don't be afraid of lack of acceptance. Not being afraid of the truth and sharing the truth even when the costs are high. That means you will not be able to control others' reactions. Communicate openly and honestly. Prioritize quality time together and take lots of pictures. Resolve conflicts
with respect. Show appreciation and gratitude toward one another.
5. What are your tips to living a long healthy life?
Tips to living a long, healthy life. Mind your business, and don't mess up anyone else's business. Maintain a healthy diet. Engage in regular physical activity. Avoid smoking and limit alcohol consumption. Maintain a healthy weight for your body build. Getting quality restorative sleep involves progressing through the five sleep stages. These stages allow your body to repair itself and rebalance hormones. Adults should aim for seven to nine hours of sleep each night. It calls for uninterrupted and deep sleep cycles within seven to nine hours, indicating that you're reaping the rewards of restorative sleep. Protect your mental well-being. Mental well-being is now considered pivotal for extending life and enriching its quality. Taking care of your mental health is as important as looking after your physical health for a long and happy life. Experiencing depression, loneliness, and stress can shorten life spans and diminish the quality of life. Mental health encompasses our emotions, thoughts, and interactions with others. It affects our well-being, shaping how we live our lives.
6. What are the primary herbs you recommend for supporting overall health? The primary herbs I recommend for overall health are chamomile, tulsi or holy basil, echinacea, elderberry, ginger, valerian, turmeric, peppermint, cinnamon, and oregano.
7. What products do you sell? I have various products for sale. Soursop,
Black Tea, Lavender, Catnip, Lemon, Orange, Tea Tree, Black soap, Sea Moss, Frankincense Oil, Turmeric, Ginger, Whey, Living bitters, Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Basil, Pure honey, red & black ginseng, Hurt-no-more, therapeutic roll on bulbs, Goji berries, clove oil, peppermint oil, Sandalwood, Milk Thistle, pumpkin spice, and a host of other herbs and spices. I can make, produce, or order any needed specialized tinctures.
8. What is your favorite scripture in the Bible?
My favorite scripture in the Bible is Jesus, who said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.” - Matthew 9:12
9. 2025 is upon us what are your words for the future?
Won't stop Can't Stop! My words for 2025: Embrace the new year with a positive outlook on prosperity for the country, community, family, and the new president. "Your future is not a distant destination waiting to be discovered. It is a creation molded by the actions you take today. In 2025, I urge all to seize control of your destiny, set meaningful goals, and diligently work towards transforming your dreams into reality." More peace all around the world!

THE DOOR
PLACES
There are places that leave an indelible mark in our lives. We are shaped by our birthplace, by a site where we encountered love and freedom, or by a place of spiritual awakening. My visit to the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY, USA was a powerful reminder of the impact a place can have in our faith and ultimately in our lives.
THE ARK’S DOOR
One of God’s specific instructions for Noah was to build a door on the side of the Ark. Noah and his family entered this door to be saved from the flood. (Genesis 6:16)
The replica of the Ark has the same entrance on the side of the ship, and we stood there and prayed!

When my husband and I prayed for our loved ones from this entrance, it took on

a profound new meaning, the same threshold that protected Noah, a faithful servant of God, and his family from death, became a place of spiritual significance for me. Today, this entrance, originally designed for safety, transformed into a portal of salvation, becoming a site for declaration and deliverance. Heartfelt cries to God Almighty resonated in the spiritual realm, seeking mercy and guidance. Indeed, my life was profoundly impacted today. Visiting the Ark Encounter led me to a remarkable experience.
There are many places and doors in life. Small and big, significant and irrelevant. I pray you find the true ones, those that always yield extraordinary outcomes, and cross them with peace and confidence, and may your encounter be as overwhelming and transformative as mine. I hope it is!

LA PUERTA
DECLARACIÓN
LUGARES

A SEASON OF BLESSINGS
by Bishop Marcus and First Lady & Minister Linda Dixon of House of Manna bread
of life Church www.hombolchurch.com
We wish to send salutations of Grace and Peace to everyone in this season. The Lord, Jesus Christ has truly been a blessing to us during this season of blessings and growth. First Lady Linda has retired from 20 years of government service at Fort Knox Army Installation as a human resource assistant. This has freed up time for us to do our marriage counseling and financial stewardship classes for those who need God’s wisdom, structure, and discipline to overcome marriage issues and financial struggles.
Bishop Marcus Dixon responsibilities have been elevated and his projects for September and October consist of assisting with the planning of the NAACP Hardin County Branch hosting the State Convention where four students will be awarded scholarships for their community service and academic excellence. These are the following awards : Elizabethtown Community Technical College, Freedom Fund Banquet at Saber and Quill on Fort Knox Army Installation, all for community service & for individual distinct service to produce a better community for Hardin County. Bishop Dixon is speaking with youth clubs and mentoring young men at
North Hardin High School, while First Lady Dixon will be mentoring the young women students at North Hardin High School.
Bishop Dixon is a part of the Men of Change Symposium which will be on Oct 4-6 2024 consisting of the theme: “Serving The Purpose; Embracing The Call of Divine Work.” The Symposium will be Hosted by Bishop Robert Brown and held at Fellowship Community Full Gospel Church located at 600 Shelton Road, Radcliff, Kentucky 40160. This season is culminating in the “Divine Work of The Church.” We as servants of The Lord are called to do great work for the Kingdom of God! The Greek word for work is “ergon”, which means: 1) business, employment, that which any one is occupied. 1a) that which one undertakes to do, enterprise, undertaking. 2) any product whatever, anything accomplished by hand, art, industry, or mind. 3) an act, deed, thing done: the idea of working is emphasized.
The true work is done by the Holy Spirit which is “ ergazomai” to exercise, perform, commit, to cause to exist, produce, and to work for, earn by working and to acquire; showing us that if we allow the Holy Spirit to do the work, we will accomplish exactly what God has called for us to do. First Lady Dixon and I thank God for the work HE has called us to do!

Let’s Talk About Sickle Cell Disease
By Karla Jarvis, MSN, APRN, FNP-C Host of Karla’s Korner
www.envision-radio.com
Research shows that the mutation causing sickle cell disease (SCD) arose in Africa thousands of years ago to help protect against malaria, a historically major cause of death there. Over time, as sickle cell disease emerged, it became known by various names in different tribal languages in Africa, long before it was discovered in western medicine. While sickle cell disease affects people across the world of all backgrounds, the greatest number of affected patients in the U.S. are those with African ancestry.
Prevalence
● About 1 in 365 Black or African American babies are born with SCD, while about 1 in 16,300 Hispanic American babies are born with it.
Sickle cell trait
● About 1 in 13 Black or African American babies are born with sickle cell trait, which means they inherited a sickle cell gene from one parent.
Evolution
● SCD is an evolutionary trait that developed in parts of the world with malaria to help protect people from the disease.
Symptoms
● Symptoms can include anemia, dark urine, yellow eyes, painful swelling, frequent pain episodes, stunted growth, and stroke.
Treatment
● A bone marrow transplant is one possible cure for SCD.
Challenges
● People with SCD may face challenges due to racial disparities in the healthcare system. For example, doctors may not believe their pain complaints and may suspect drug-seeking behavior.

Rhythm of Synchronization
By Dr. TeeCee Host of Saturday Night Praise Party www.envision-radio.com
In a world that often feels offbeat, finding our rhythm with God has never been more essential. It’s not about routines or checklists; it’s about aligning our hearts with the very pulse of the Kingdom. But how do we do that? How do we sync up with God in a world that constantly pulls us in every direction? People are faced with financial struggles, financial issues, problems on the job, relationships crashing and burning … the list can go on and on and on. I’ve found that it starts with showing up as our true selves, without masks or pretending. With all our broken pieces, we come as we are, and that’s where God meets us. He invites us into His rhythm, and that's when we begin to hear His heartbeat in ways we never have before.
If I’m honest, I know I’ve judged others, and I’ve been judged. And let
me tell you, it didn’t feel good being on either side of that space. Who really wants to walk around judging someone else? And who wants to be judged? The truth is no one. One day, God showed me something powerful: whether it’s the pastor who motivates and inspires, or the one who challenges me to dig deeper into Scripture, they are all needed. There are moments when I’m feeling low, and I need that pick-me-up from the motivational pastor. But I also need the radical preacher, the one who pushes me to study harder, convicting me when I need it most. Every one of these encounters helps me grow in my knowledge of God and how to better serve Him and His people. He reminded me that I need community. Through that, I began to see the people in the Bible differently. They were flawed, just like you and me, but God still used them. He loved them and recognized their hearts.
There have been so many times when life was just “life’n,” and I needed

Photo by Chris Bulilan on Unsplash
someone to stand in the trenches with me. I don’t know about you, but community has been essential for me in those moments. God continues to remind me that it’s not about perfection; it’s about being real with Him and allowing His rhythm to transform me.
The pretending has to stop. We have to let go of the act. Too often, we think we’re more righteous or holy than the next person, but the truth is, we’re all broken in some way. We all have mess because we’re human. It’s time to stop fooling ourselves and each other. When we slow down and truly look at Jesus and His walk, that’s when real change happens. When we catch God’s rhythm, something beautiful takes place. We start to see ourselves the way He sees us. No longer broken, but whole. No longer burdened, but free. And when we see ourselves like that, we start seeing others that way too. We begin to see the beauty in ourselves and those around us. This rhythm isn’t just about us; it’s about how we move together, how we see others through God’s eyes. That’s the real shift.
God is so much more than just an authority figure in the sky. He’s a loving Father who sees us, a friend who walks beside us, a protector who always has our back, and a guide we didn’t even know we needed. But we
can’t catch His rhythm unless we acknowledge Him in all these ways. Our journey with God requires transparency. We must be willing to come as we are, ready for Him to align our lives with His divine tempo. It’s through fasting, prayer, and living out our purpose that we sync with Him. And by the way, I’m talking about fasting, not dieting, but that’s a topic for another day.
Church? Absolutely, it’s important, but it can’t stop there. God isn’t just calling us to fill a pew on Sunday mornings. He’s calling us to serve in the church, in our communities, and to take His presence into the marketplace. How are we impacting those smaller, often overlooked ministries? The ones that may not get applause but are crucial to Kingdom work. It’s the overlooked fellowship groups, the volunteering beyond the church walls, and living out our faith in the workplace that build God’s Kingdom just as much as singing on the praise team or preaching a sermon.
Fasting and praying aren’t just spiritual rituals. They are the keys to unlocking deeper
synchronization with God.
These aren’t religious performances or formulas; they are our way of getting in tune with His voice. Are we just talking at God, or are we listening too? Prayer is a two-way conversation. It’s in that stillness where real connection happens, but we also have to learn to talk to God throughout the day, just like a regular conversation.
In Acts 15, Paul, Peter, and Barnabas were doing things differently. They weren’t locked into traditions or expectations. They followed God’s lead, even when it meant going against the grain. Peter’s stand in Acts 15:7-11 against tradition was bold, and it shifted the early church. That boldness is exactly what God is calling for today.
Acts 15:32-35 shows us this wasn’t about following rules; it was about motivation and inspiration. The early church needed more than teachings. They needed life, they needed hope. And yet, here we are today, sometimes criticizing pastors who do just that. God’s Kingdom is about more than lessons; it’s about movement and momentum. We’re in a season of shift, and it’s time for the church to catch up.
This dance with God isn’t about shouting or praise breaks. It’s about how we live and move with Him every day. It’s about aligning our steps with
His Spirit and letting the Holy Spirit shift our thinking. It’s about moving from rigid, Pharisee-like behaviors into lives filled with the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. That’s the real dance.
When we sync up with His rhythm, favor, joy, and glory start flowing. The manna will fall, and blessings will be released. Peter talked about breaking yokes in Acts 15:10, and when we catch God’s rhythm, those yokes fall off. The guilt, the shame, the unnecessary burdens, all disappear in the light of God’s grace.
When we align with God’s rhythm, we’re not just walking. We’re dancing in step with divine purpose.
That’s the freedom that comes from being in sync with God. And when we move with Him, we see heaven touch earth in ways we never imagined. His light will shine through us, and the world won’t be able to ignore it.

Sisters Turn Family Legacy Into Thriving Business: Best Cleaning Service Sets Sights on National Expansion
By LaBresha Johnson Best Cleaning Service labresha.johnson@thehelperbees.com
A Family Legacy of Excellence
LaBresha and Latisha Johnson grew up watching their father work tirelessly in the construction and home services industries. From a young age, the sisters learned the ins and outs of the business while helping him on various jobs. The experience gave them more than just cleaning skills—it instilled in them a passion for hard work, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. Today, that passion has evolved into Best Cleaning Service, their rapidly growing cleaning company based in Las Vegas, with plans to expand nationwide.
Growing up, LaBresha and Latisha didn’t just witness the hustle of running a cleaning business; they lived it. Their father was more than a business owner—he was a role model who showed them the value of consistency, dedication, and treating customers with respect.
“Our dad always emphasized the importance of doing every job, big or small, with the highest level of care,” LaBresha shared. “He took pride in his work, and that’s something we carry with us today.”
With these values deeply embedded in their approach, the sisters launched Best Cleaning Service, specializing in residential and commercial cleaning. Their aim? To provide exceptional service at a great value, just like their father had taught them.
Competitive Pricing Without Compromise
At the heart of Best Cleaning Service is a commitment to delivering top-notch cleaning services at competitive rates. LaBresha and Latisha understand that affordability shouldn’t mean sacrificing quality. Their pricing structure is designed to be fair, transparent, and accessible to a wide range of customers—whether it’s a
one-time deep clean or a regular maintenance schedule.
“We believe in giving our clients the best service at the best price,” Latisha emphasized. “We’ve worked hard to make sure our pricing is both competitive and fair, without cutting corners.”
Growing Beyond Las Vegas
Since launching, Best Cleaning Service has made a significant impact in the Las Vegas community, gaining loyal customers and rave reviews. But the Johnson sisters are not content with local success—they have ambitious plans to take their family business nationwide. Their next targets for expansion are Michigan and Ohio, two states where they see tremendous growth potential.
“The sky’s the limit,” LaBresha said confidently. “We’re working hard to ensure that as we grow, we maintain the same level of service and value that our clients in Las Vegas have come to expect.”
Maintaining Quality as They Expand
While the sisters are focused on growth, they’re equally committed to maintaining the quality and personal touch that has defined their business. They plan to implement a robust training program for staff in new locations, ensuring that every cleaning team upholds their standards of excellence.
“We’ve always believed that quality is the foundation of a successful business,” Latisha explained. “As we expand, our number one priority is to make sure every client, no matter where they are, receives

Tortilla Fried Chicken
Recipe courtesy of Chef Kenny Minor's From My Plate To Yours CookBook Serves 4-6
PREP TIME: 5 Minutes
COOK TIME: 15 Minutes
INGREDIENTS FOR THE CHICKEN
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 1/2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper
Vegetable oil, for frying, about 1 1/2 cups
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs
4-5 cups tortilla chips
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Cut the chicken into evenly sized bite-size pieces (about 8 pieces for each breast.) Place the chicken pieces in a large plastic resealable bag. Add 1 tsp. olive oil, garlic powder, cumin, cinnamon, light salt, and pepper. Seal the bag and shake to coat the chicken.
2. Next, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until the oil is hot and shimmering. Using a small bowl or shallow dish, season the flour with salt and pepper. In another small bowl, beat the eggs to create an egg wash. In a third shallow dish, crush the tortilla chips by hand. Don’t worry about making them too fine, having various sizes adds lots of texture!
(Note: test the cooking oil with one corn chip, it should sizzle immediately)
3. Carefully place the chicken pieces in the skillet and fry until golden brown – about 5 minutes total. Flip only once. Use a slotted spatula to transfer the chicken to a plate lined with paper towels. Cook in batches until all the chicken has been cooked. Place chicken on a platter and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Highlights of the 2024 Tax Season
By Jeovonnii Pryor EA Syndicate Tax & Accounting www.syndicatetax.net
The 2024 tax season wasn’t without its fair share of surprises, but hey, if you know where to look, there’s cash to be saved—and maybe even a chuckle or two! Let’s dive into what happened this year and how it might help keep your wallet a little fuller.
So, inflation—it’s everywhere. The price of eggs, gas, and apparently even breathing went up. But the IRS, in a rare show of kindness, adjusted tax brackets and raised the standard deduction. For 2024, individuals can deduct $14,600 and couples get $29,200. It’s like the IRS saying, “We know things are rough. Here, take a little something off the top.”
Thanks, IRS, we’ll take it.
Now, if you’re a business owner, last year was a wild ride when you could write off 80% of that shiny new equipment. This year? Only 60%. The IRS basically told us, “Alright, that’s enough, don’t go crazy.”
But don’t panic yet—Section 179 is still in play! You can deduct up to $1.22 million in assets, so yes, you can still justify buying that new espresso machine for the office. You deserve it, right?
For the self-employed hustlers and small biz owners out there, the IRS still has your back with a 20% deduction on qualified business income. But if you’re balling over $191,950 (single) or $383,900 (joint), your deduction starts to shrink. It’s the IRS’s way of saying, “Congrats on being successful! But let’s not go overboard with those tax breaks.” And if you’re the type who’s always on the go for work, the IRS will toss you 67 cents per mile. It’s basically like getting gas money from your uncle who always has change in his pocket. Driving for medical reasons or military moves? That’s 21 cents a mile. And for charity? Well, the IRS is stuck on 14 cents. It’s not much, but at least your heart’s in the right place!
Here’s a fun twist: if you’re going green—installing solar panels, buying an electric vehicle, or doing something eco-friendly—the IRS has a gift for you in the form of big, juicy tax credits. You can even sell them for cash! Who knew saving the planet could also save you some serious money? It’s all part of the Inflation Reduction Act, and it’s definitely worth looking into if you’re in the market for some eco-upgrades. So, while 2024 threw a few tax curveballs, there are still plenty of ways to make the system work for you. Whether it’s snagging those inflation-adjusted deductions or getting a break for driving on the job, the opportunities to save are there. Now’s the time to start planning for 2025, because trust me, the IRS is always ready—and you should be too!

Embrace the Season: Fall Skincare Essentials for Radiant Skin
By A C Lawrence Skin Care & You
As the leaves begin to change and the air turns crisp, fall not only ushers in a beautiful transformation in nature but also calls for a shift in our skincare routines. The transition from warm summer days to cooler autumn weather can be challenging for our skin, which often reacts to changes in temperature and humidity. To help you maintain a radiant complexion as the seasons change, here’s a comprehensive guide to fall skincare essentials.
Understanding Seasonal Changes
During the summer months, our skin tends to be exposed to harsh UV rays, heat, and humidity, which can lead to excess oil production and an increased risk of sun damage. Conversely, fall brings lower humidity levels and cooler temperatures, which can strip the skin of its natural moisture. As a result, you may notice dryness, flakiness, or irritation. To combat these issues, it’s crucial to adapt your skincare routine to meet the needs of your skin during this transitional period.
Key Fall Skincare Strategies
1. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
One of the most important aspects of fall skincare is hydration. As the air becomes drier, your skin’s moisture levels can drop significantly. To combat this, switch to a heavier moisturizer that contains hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, glycerin, or ceramides. These ingredients help to lock in moisture and create a protective barrier on the skin.
2. Gentle Exfoliation
With the change in weather, it’s essential to keep your skin smooth and free of dead cells. However, be cautious with exfoliation, as aggressive scrubs can lead to irritation. Opt for gentle chemical exfoliants containing AHAs (like glycolic acid) or BHAs (like salicylic acid) instead of harsh physical scrubs. These will help to slough off dead skin cells without compromising your skin’s barrier, leaving you with a radiant glow.
3. Nourishing Oils and Serums
Incorporating facial oils or nourishing
serums into your regimen can provide an extra layer of hydration and nourishment. Look for oils rich in omega fatty acids, such as argan oil, jojoba oil, or rosehip oil. These oils can help to soothe and repair the skin, making them ideal for fall when skin may be more prone to dryness and irritation.
4. Sunscreen is Still Essential
Although the sun may not feel as intense in the fall, UV rays can still cause skin damage. Protect your skin daily with a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30. Make it a habit to apply sunscreen every morning, even on cloudy days or when you expect to spend most of the day indoors.
5. Stay Hydrated from Within
Don’t forget that hydration starts from within! Drink plenty of water and consider incorporating hydrating foods into your diet, such as fruits and vegetables with high water content. Foods rich in antioxidants, like berries and leafy greens, can also help support skin health as the seasons change.
6. Adjust Your Cleansing Routine
With cooler weather, you may find that your skin is less oily than in the summer. Consider switching to a gentler, cream-based cleanser that won’t strip your skin of its natural oils. Avoid hot water during your cleansing routine, as it can further dehydrate your skin.
7. Target Specific Concerns
Fall is a great time to address any specific skin concerns you may have. If you suffer from conditions like eczema or psoriasis, consult with a dermatologist about suitable treatments to keep flare-ups at bay during the dry months. Additionally, consider incorporating products with ingredients
like niacinamide or retinol to improve texture and tone.
8. Don’t Forget Your Lips
Chapped lips are a common issue during fall, so make sure to invest in a nourishing lip balm. Look for products that contain natural oils, beeswax, or shea butter to keep your lips soft and hydrated. Exfoliating your lips once a week with a gentle lip scrub can also help keep them smooth and supple.
Conclusion
As we transition into fall, it’s essential to adapt your skincare routine to address the unique challenges posed by the season. By prioritizing hydration, gentle exfoliation, and sun protection, you can maintain healthy, glowing skin all autumn long. Remember that consistency is key, and tailoring your routine to your skin’s needs will ensure you embrace the beauty of fall with confidence. So, gather your favorite products, indulge in a little self-care, and let your skin shine through the season!

The most wonderful of the year is Now. We used to sing that song around the holidays especially Christmas or our birthdays but life is short and the most wonderful time of the day, month, season and year that we have is right now. Tomorrow is not promised. Yesterday is already gone. Today is the day. Now is the time. Since we have this wonderful opportunity of now, I say LIVE! Live for God. Live for Yourself and then find a way to inspire others to Live. I’m sorry I don’t suggest living for others because they have to make that choice for themselves. Live so others can see Christ in you, desire your life and then apply it to their life. It’s an individual affair my first pastor used to say and as for me, I’m going to Live.
Wake up everyday with that desire to do your best, fulfill your purpose and take one more step to the destiny that God has equipped, gifted and called you to complete on the earth. Any idea that has popped into your head, do your research, ask questions and pray about whether this is a good thing or a God
thing. Sure, check your budget, check with your family and check with God but at the end of the day, move forward quickly to your goals, dreams, callings and desires. Remember the time is NOW and the it’s Time to LIVE!

The Source of Healing!
By Jeanette Umstead Nutritional Coach

The Savior and his miracles revealed the power that is continually at work in man’s behalf, to sustain and heal him. Through the agencies of nature, God is working day by day hour by hour moment by moment to keep us alive to build up and to restore us. When any of the part of the body sustains injury, a healing process is at once begun; natures agencies are set at work to restore soundness. All life giving power is from him. When one recovers from disease, it is God who restores him. Sickness, suffering, and death are work of the enemy. Satan is the destroyer; God is the restorer.
The word spoken to Israel are true today of those who recover health of body or health of soul. I am the lord that healeth thee Exodus 15:26 The desire of God, for every human being is expressed in the words, Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper, and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth 3 John 2 Thank God for your health today because health is wealth. You can be the richest man in the world, but without your health, what can you do with it? It’s very difficult to enjoy the life that God
has given to us when we are sick. Remember, when you came into this world, there was a manual and with the manual there came instructions on how to take care of your body just like that new car you bought there was a manual on the seat, to teach you how to take care of the car. That new blender there was also instructions on how to work that machine and you even know exactly where to take it when it doesn’t work properly. With that being said, you are a machine, and God has given instructions on how to take of your body. But you must follow the manual-the laws of nature. The manual was written by a divinely inspired architect, chemist our Creator God! The rules have been written in nature. Nature was organized so that man could live forever. We left our Garden of Eden and have been making a mess ever since! But we don’t have to continue on this path! it’s time to go back, back to our Garden and this time, we will never leave it again!
