Der Verein der Tiroler MuseumsBahnen feiert heuer sein 40-jähriges Bestehen. Inzwischen wurden 26 historische Garnituren aus Tirol, Südtirol und dem Trentino restauriert. // The Tyrolean Museum Railways Association celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. During this time, 26 historic trams and trains from the Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino have been restored.

Wenn es in Innsbrucks Straßen auffallend quietscht und rumpelt, kann es gut sein, dass eine Garnitur der Tiroler MuseumsBahnen ihre Ausfahrt macht. Seit 40 Jahren widmet sich ein immer größer werdender Kreis von Enthusiastinnen und Enthusiasten der Restaurierung und Instandhaltung alter Schienenfahrzeuge aus dem Gebiet des „historischen Tirol“ – Nord- und Osttirol, Südtirol und dem Trentino. Inzwischen wurden beretis 26 Stück davon originalgetreu restauriert. Ihre Heimat haben die Tiroler MuseumsBahnen im ehemaligen Bahnhofsgebäude der Stubaitalbahn in Wilten gefunden. An den Öffnungstagen verkehrt auch drei Mal eine historische Garnitur über den Terminal Marktplatz und den Hauptbahnhof. // If you hear a distinctive squeaking and rumbling on the streets of Innsbruck, it could be a tram from the Tyrolean Museum Railways. For 40 years, a growing group of enthusiasts has been restoring and maintaining old light railway vehicles and trams from the area known as „Historic Tyrol“ - North and East Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino. In the meantime, 26 of them have been restored to their original condition. The Tiroler MuseumsBahnen is based in the former station building of the Stubaitalbahn in Wilten. On opening days, a historic tram will also make three trips through the Marktplatz terminus and the main railway station.
