WEDNESDAY, MAY 3, 2023
If you happen to live in or around the sleeping communities of Compton or Carson, you had plenty of options to be entertained during the final weekend in April.
MORE specifically, April 29 was a big day for both cities. During the early part of the day, the 3rd Annual Compton Advocates Community Resource Fair took place at Gonzales Park in Compton.
Later, Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter Lalah Hathaway headlined the 4th annual Dymally International Jazz & Arts Festival in Carson, Calif. at Dignity Health Sports Park.
This was also a big weekend for sports. The 2023 NFL Draft saw both the Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams make their first picks to be players that participated in the College Football Playoff National Championship game that was played at SoFi Stadium earlier this year.
The Chargers picked up
TCU wide receiver Quentin Johnston with the 21st pick in the first round of the draft. The Rams chose offensive lineman Steve Avila, also from TCU, with the 36th overall pick (second round).
The LPGA Tour was also in town, holding up at the Wilshire Country Club where Australian golfer Hannah Green won the JM Eagle LA Championship. Finally, the USC-UCLA track and field meet at Drake Stadium on April 30, showed off the crosstown rivalry between the Trojans and Bruins.
An all-afternoon fiesta featuring live entertainment and a variety of fun activities will mark the City of Carson’s 46th annual Cinco de Mayo celebration scheduled Saturday, May 6.
“The City of Carson is thrilled to once again celebrate the historic occasion of Cinco De Mayo with an in-person grand fiesta for the entire community to enjoy,” said Mayor Lula Davis-Holmes.
The fiesta will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Carson Park, located at 21411 Orrick Avenue in Carson. The event is open to people of all ages, and admission is free.
Banda Maguey and La Sonora Dinamita with Vilma Diaz will lead this year’s entertainment line-up along with Mariachi Santa Monica. Also featured are local talents from the surrounding community.
Aside from non-stop entertainment, the fiesta also features a wide variety of food booths, game booths, arts and crafts, a car show, and cultural displays.
Cinco de Mayo is more than a celebration of a single, glorious moment in the long history of Mexico’s struggle for independence. Mexico’s victory over the French at the “Batalla de Puebla,” in Puebla, Mexico on May 5, 1862, reaffirmed a universal aspiration shared by freedom-loving people throughout the United States and the world: self-determination.

LOS ANGELES - Dual Threat Preparatory Academy, a Black-owned and operated educational program for student-athletes, is excited to announce the launch of its first summer program, the Blue Chip Academy, set to begin in July 2023.
DUAL Threat is an educational program focused on providing student-athletes with the proper tools to excel in their sport of choice and outside of sports as academic and civically engaged young leaders. This educational program will support student-athletes starting in the 6th grade.
Each educational program will be based on topics that are applicable to the athlete’s age and sport. The program will cover topics such as social justice and civic engagement, financial literacy, personal health, and much more.
“Dual Threat Prep’s inaugural program will equip student-athletes with the skills necessary to make an impact outside of the game. Far too often, student-athletes are left to grapple with some of life’s most serious obstacles and transitions without the necessary support,” said Dual Threat’s Founder and Executive Director Kristina T. Wilson, Esq.
“It takes more than talent and physical skills to be successful in sports, especially as athletes inevitably face some type of adversity inside or outside of sports,” she added.
“We’re excited to welcome 12 6thgrade and 7th grade student-athletes into our program this summer as we launch this curriculum to provide safe and substantive learning for students over the summer.”
Applications to join the program will be available June 1 at https://dualthreatprep.org/ About Dual Threat Preparatory Academy Dual Threat

The California Reparations Task Force published documents Monday indicating it plans to recommend the state apologize for racism and slavery and consider “down payments” of varying amounts to eligible African American residents.
The documents, numbering more than 500 pages, do not contain an overall price tag for reparations, but they do include ways the state could calculate how much money African Americans in California
have lost since 1850, when the state was established, through today due to certain government practices.
The loss calculations would vary depending on type of racial harm and how long a person has lived in California. The loss estimates range from $2,300 per person per year of residence for the over-policing of Black communities, to $77,000 total per person for Black-owned business losses and devaluations over the years.
The state-appointed task force faces a July 1 deadline
to make reparations recommendations to the Legislature and Gov. Gavin Newsom. Task force leaders have said they expect the Legislature to come up with actual reparations amounts.
The task force also is recommending a variety of policy changes to counteract discrimination.
“It is critical that we compensate, but not just compensate. We also need to evaluate policy that continues to hold us back,” said Monica Montgomery Steppe, a San Diego
Compton, CA - The 3rd Annual Compton Advocates Community Resource Fair at Gonzales Park turned out to be a grand event for the city with droves of adults and children attending the nearly daylong event on Saturday, April 29. The event featured haircuts, plenty of activities for children, and a good dose of information being passed out by the numerous vendors setting up shop.
MORE than 70 organizations were slated to participate, including a mammogram truck and youth empowerment zone.Compton Advocates partnered with District 1 City Councilwoman

My strategy during my childhood was survival. My brothers and my friends used to make out strategies on how navigate going through all of the gang territory in Long Beach where I lived. I had to fight off and maneuver around advances from my uncle’s live-in partner.
BUT the most difficult challenge
I faced was surviving my father’s constant tongue-lashings and beatings.
Sometimes I felt like my dad
would beat me if I coughed the wrong way. This is not about just getting whippings as a kid for doing something wrong. I love my father, but my dad would beat first and ask questions later. Now how has all this impacted me? It impacted me a great deal.
I am in my 50s, and yet the trauma of my childhood has left me scarred. Several years ago, I was diagnosed with having post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a result of the verbal and physical abuse I received in my childhood.
How bad was it? Well, one day as a broken teenager, I walked up to the top of the football stadium bleachers at Long Beach Millikan High School (the school I attended at the time) and contemplated tak-
ing my life. The only thing that saved me that day was God.
I had gone to church all of my life. And at that moment, I just about gave up hope. The demoralizing taunting and beatings with wires, switches and extension cords were just too much. I felt worthless. My father constantly reminded me that I would never amount to anything.
Then again, my brothers would get the same treatment. My dad was an equal opportunity beater, except with me things were a bit extreme. I can vividly picture one specific night my dad beat me. I remember my mother putting Vaseline all over my body to heal the wounds I received as I screamed out in pain from the whipping I got.
Covering up things was almost a way of life in my household. Whenever I or one of my other 10 siblings would get a real good beating, my mom would write a note to the school excusing us from participating in physical education or gym class. And whenever my brothers and sisters and I would bring those notes, the ladies at the front desk would always have questions like they knew what was up. The straw that broke the camel’s back was one day with me was when my dad backslapped me, drug me by the legs from the front yard to the backyard, and proceeded to wrap me up in a 20-foot coiled wire, choking the life out of me. I knew things were bad

(StatePoint) Clean, safe drinking water is essential for human health, especially for children, who are particularly vulnerable to certain contaminants. Local, state and federal policy has had some success in helping clean up drinking water supplies, but there are new reports of emerging contaminants linked to child development. Here’s what to know about some of the most common water contaminants linked to child health, along with information about how to filter them:
• PFAS: According to Environmental Working Group scientists, the presence of Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl
continued from page 2
city council member who is on the task force. She spoke at a “listening session” in San Diego Saturday.
Who would get reparations?
The task force documents discuss two kinds of reparations: those arising from particular instances of discrimination or harm that require an individual to file a claim, and those that involve distributing money or benefits to all eligible Black Californians for racial harm the entire community experienced.
A recent example of an individual claim was Bruce’s Beach, a beachfront property and resort that the city of Manhattan Beach seized from a Black family nearly 100 years ago. Recently, partly because of the task force, government leaders returned the land deed to descendants of the Bruce family, who re-sold it to Los Angeles County for $20 million.
It is one of the few times a Black family was restored property taken by a local government.
Eligibility for reparations
substances (PFAS) in American drinking water is much wider spread than previously thought.
Contamination of drinking water or ground water has been detected at almost 1,400 sites in 49 states. This large class of chemicals -- which includes perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) -- is added to a range of products and packaging. They are collectively referred to as “forever chemicals” because they don’t break down easily
and can last thousands of years. They can also build up in the human body. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that the blood of nearly all Americans is contaminated with PFAS. A new medical research study recently reported PFAS is altering hormonal and metabolic pathways needed for child growth and development.
• Lead: The effects of lead contamination in water have become more well known since the crisis in Flint, Mich.
became widely reported on in 2016. However, the Environmental Protection Agency estimates that there are between 6 to 10 million lead service lines still use in the country. When pipes that contain lead corrode, lead can enter drinking water. Harmful to everyone, even minimal exposure can have a significant impact on children, and has been linked to nervous system damage, impaired hearing, learning disabilities and impaired blood cell function..
• Microplastics: Microplastics are fragments of plastic pollution, which are harmful to water ecosystems and unhealthy to consume. Microplastics are found in both tap and bottled water and in a 2022 study, were noted to be found in human blood. While the health effects of microplastics are still largely unknown, they are emerging as a common drinking water contaminant to be aware of.
Some Solutions
To learn about the contam-
inants found in your drinking water, you can access the Environmental Working Group’s Tap Water Database. No matter what you learn, it’s a good idea to filter your water.
Many home water filters only filter certain contaminants. It’s important to look for a water filter that removes chemicals including PFAS, heavy metals including lead, and that provides broader protection against emerging contaminants such as microplastics. One option is the pitcher filters and dispenser filters offered by LifeStraw, which remove not only lead, PFAS and microplastics, but also bacteria, parasites and a variety of emerging contaminants, including pharmaceuticals.
When it comes to child health, PFAS and lead contamination in drinking water is a concerning problem at the local and national level. Fortunately, household solutions exist to make water safer for individuals and families.
continues to be a controversy.
The task force in March 2022 voted to limit potential compensation to descendants of free and enslaved Black people who were in the United States in the 19th century. The group narrowly rejected a proposal to include all Black people, including recent immigrants, regardless of lineage.
Everyone in the eligible class should be compensated, the task force report says, even if they can’t prove they suffered a specific harm.
“The State of California created laws and policies discriminating against and subjugating free and enslaved African Americans and their descendants,” the report says. “In doing so, these discriminatory policies made no distinctions between these individuals; the compensatory remedy must do the same.”
The final report, much like the task force’s previous interim report, lays out the history of systemic racism and ongoing injustices in California.
The latest batch of documents also urges that eligible people be compensated in cash, sooner rather than later. The records instruct the Legislature to begin with “down payments” rather than waiting for full loss calculations.
The final report suggests dollar figures for certain categories of racial damage:
• For mass incarceration and the over-policing of Black communities, it estimates a loss per person of $115,260, or $2,352 for each year they lived in California from 1971 to 2020, corresponding to the national War on Drugs.
• For housing discrimination, it offers two methods of loss calculation. One method based on gaps between Black and white “housing wealth” would peg losses at $145,847 per person. The other method, based on governments’ “redlining” history, including discriminatory lending and zoning, would calculate Black residents’ losses at $148,099
per person — or $3,366 for each year they lived in California from 1933 to 1977.
• For injustices and discrimination in health, it estimates $13,619 per person for each year lived in California, or $966,921 total for someone living about 71 years — the average life expectancy of Black residents in California in 2021.
The reparations program would be overseen by a new state agency that would determine eligibility and distribute funds, the report says. The agency also would be responsible for helping individuals document and provide evidence for specific injustices.
Eligible Black residents should not expect cash payments anytime soon. The state Legislature and Newsom will decide whether any reparations are paid, and it’s unclear what they will do with the task force recommendations.
“This is the time where we really need the voice of the public,” said Khansa T. Jones-Muhammad, also known as Friday
Jones, a member of Los Angeles’ reparations advisory commission. “This is the time to get your churches together. This is the time to get your school boards together.”
Jones made the comments during the listening session in San Diego.
Some task force members have been dismayed at the amount of attention paid to the dollar figures under discussion. The final report provides dozens of policy recommendations aimed at preventing further discrimination and harm against Black residents.
“The biggest fight is implementation of all these recommendations, “ Montgomery Steppe said. “After the task force issues its final report, those recommendations need strong support in California’s Legislature and the government. It will take all hands on deck to ensure we push for a policy change from our state legislature.”
“I’ve always looked at the world and thought, what can I do next? Where do we go from here? How can we fix it? And that’s still how I look at the world, because there is so much to be done”
WHEN Har-
ry Belafonte died on April 25, many people were quick to honor him not only as a luminous, barrier-breaking singer and actor but as an outspoken lifelong crusader for civil and human rights. I am especially grateful for his enduring legacy as a champion for children in the United States and across the world.
He was a wonderful friend and a longtime supporter of the Children’s Defense Fund’s mission and work, especially lifting up young people who have beaten the odds. He overcame long odds himself as a poor Black boy growing up in Harlem and Jamaica, and he later said he was an activist from birth—determined to do everything he could to help change the odds for others.
His starring role as a warrior for social justice was clear

because I could hear my brothers and sisters yell out, “Dad, you’re going to kill him.” Somehow, I managed to escape. That incident almost destroyed me as it led me to think that my life was useless. There were many nights where I wondered why my dad hated me. As a result of all this turmoil, my educational learning went to the toilet. I became a high school dropout. I had no confidence in myself.
Eventually, I went back to get my G.E.D., but I had no-
early on in the Civil Rights Movement. By the early 1960s Harry Belafonte had already been a leading man in films like Carmen Jones and Island in the Sun, won a Tony, an Emmy, and Grammy Awards, and become the first artist in the U.S. to sell a million copies of a record in a year with 1956’s Calypso.
This made him one of the most recognizable Black men in the country as he (along with his dear friend and rare peer Sidney Poitier) tirelessly raised money and awareness for the Movement, traveling to the South at great personal risk, working closely with
leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and encouraging other Hollywood celebrities to support the cause.
When he looked back later at one specific assignment, coordinating fellow artists to participate in the March on Washington, he said: “We had to seize this opportunity and make our voices heard. Make those who are comfortable with our oppression—make them uncomfortable—Dr. King said that was the purpose of this mission . . . To mobilize the cultural force behind the cause—Dr. King saw that as hugely strategic. We use celebrity to the advantage of every-
thing. Why not to the advantage of those who need to be liberated?”
In every cause, he engaged in throughout his life, from organizing the “We Are the World” fundraiser to speaking out against apartheid to serving for decades as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, that is how Harry Belafonte used his own celebrity.
Years later he described another seminal lesson he learned from Dr. King: “I remember the last time we were together, at my home, shortly before he was murdered. He seemed quite agitated and preoccupied, and I asked him what the problem was. ‘I’ve come upon something that disturbs me deeply,’ he said. ‘We have fought hard and long for integration, as I believe we should have, and I know that we will win. But I’ve come to believe we’re integrating into a burning house.’
That statement took me aback. It was the last thing I would have expected to hear, considering the nature of our struggle, and I asked him what he meant. ‘I’m afraid that America may be losing what moral vision she may have had,’ he answered. ‘And I’m afraid that even as we integrate, we are walking into a place that does not understand that this nation needs to be deeply concerned with the plight of the poor and disenfranchised. Until we commit ourselves to ensuring that the underclass is given justice and opportunity, we will continue to perpetuate the anger and violence that
tears at the soul of this nation.’”
Harry Belafonte added:
“Deep in my soul, I know there are more Rosa Parks, more Dr. Kings, and more Ella Bakers ready to emerge. Perhaps we are the firefighters who can save the burning house.” He believed this, and he set the example.
In 2014, Harry Belafonte was presented with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, an honorary Oscar that solidified his rare “EGOT-winner” status and recognized his lifelong work for social justice. In his acceptance speech he remembered how it felt to be an 8-year-old in a movie theater watching a blockbuster “Tarzan of the Apes” film on the big screen, with its racist, white supremacist stereotypes:
“It was an early stimulus to the beginning of my rebellion, rebellion against injustice and human distortion, and hate. How fortunate for me that the performing arts became the catalyst that fueled my desire for social change . . . It was [Paul] Robeson who said, ‘Artists are the gatekeepers of truth. They are civilization’s radical voice.’
This Robeson environment sounded like a desired place to be, and given the opportunity to dwell there, has never disappointed me.” Harry Belafonte was a voice of radical truth his entire life, and I am deeply grateful he never stopped sharing his incomparable voice with the rest of the world.
where to go with my life with no direction. I worked for 10 years as a custodian at USC-Medical Center. Despite my inner struggles, I got myself together and went back to school. I worked my way from taking classes at Los Angeles City College and Los Angeles Southwest College to walking across the stage at Howard University with a bachelor’s of arts degree in journalism.
I did internships with the Los Angeles Times and Washington Redskins (now Com-
manders).
Even though I found myself thriving, I suffered quietly about my past. I have never shared this version of my childhood because of shame and being afraid of ridicule. To this day, I find it extremely difficult to accept compliments because I was told many times growing up that there was nothing good about me.
There are several things that has kept in my place and that is my faith in God and professional counseling. There is a
struggle every now and then for me about accepting who I am. For years, I carried the burden that everything I did and every beating I received as a child I brought on myself.
I know now that is not true. As far as my father is concerned, I love him. I forgive him. Even though there are things about my childhood that I will never share out of respect for my father and my family, it is important for me to share my story that it may help other people to heal from their own upbringing.
My lot in life is not about my father. My father, who suffered from being bi-polar, may have shaped it, but I have the choice to finish the narrative. I have empathy towards others because my father showed me very little of it. I try to extend kindness and warmth because these are the attributes my mother carried with her.
I am who I am today due to what happened in my childhood. Each day is about trying to be a better person and a better man.

The Memphis Grizzlies look to pick up the pieces after being annihilated in Game 6 at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers 125-85 on Friday night.
THE Grizzlies were the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference most of the season despite the distractions and suspension of their superstar in Ja Morant. Although Memphis put up some amazing performances in a few games in the first round series nothing compared to the hunger and execution of the Lakers led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the close out Game 6.
Dillion Brooks, who wrote a check his behind couldn’t cash,
came up empty in the final two games of the series as James reminded him not to poke the bear. Brooks comments after Memphis’ Game 2 victory regarding James being old fired up the wrong team. As result Mem-
phis caught the ‘old man’ hands of James and company for the rest of the series.
In the Grizzlies exit interviews, some players resented the trash talking, including Morant, who decided to keep it at a bare
minimum. However, Brooks vowed to continue the trash talking regardless, and that talk could see him in a different uniform next season.
Memphis general manger and President of Basketball Operations Zach Kleiman told the media that the trash talking will be taking “a different approach next season” when it comes to his team.
Many questions have sparked about this team moving as far as do they have enough veteran presence in the locker room. Is the leadership on one accord with the team, coaches and front office? Do they have a discipline enough head coach that can lead this team into the promise land of the NBA Finals?
One thing is for certain: Morant is a bonafide superstar but his actions off the court will determine if he can truly lead this team on the court moving forward. Memphis will continue to be aggressive with trades in
order to upgrade the roster to be more competitive next season. Look for the team to explore options with various positions including some depth on the bench.
After extending Jaren Jackson Jr. a couple of seasons ago to a long term deal, and most recently Morant, be on the lookout for Desmond Bane to get a big time extension sooner than later.
The lesson for the Grizzlies next season should be to focus on getting better, remaining healthy and let your play on the court speak volumes instead using the press for your quotes. Learn a lesson from Brooks who punked out when his words did not align with his actions. Lose the distractions and this team could be a force to handle in the playoffs in the coming seasons.
*Brooks was also fined $25,000 for not speaking to the media the final two games of the series against the Lakers.
(Compton Bulletin) - Los Angeles Lakers point guard
D’Angelo Russell is constantly on the frontline of the team’s offense since he joined the purple and gold from the Minnesota Timberwolves. His future with the Lakers will be something to discuss in the offseason as he is eligible for a $67.5 million extension with the team.
The Lakers' numbers have improved dramatically since Russell’s second stint with the team. Los Angeles grabbed a spot in the playoffs after a 2-10 score at the beginning of the season once they defeated Russell’s previous team, the Timberwolves, in the play-in tournament. The Lakers had a 0.3 percent chance of moving forward in the postseason after their porous start. During the regular season, Russell averaged 17.4 points, 6.1 assists, and 2.9 rebounds. So far this postseason, he has averaged 19 points, seven assists, and four rebounds.
Russell made improvements during Game 1 of the Lakers’
first-round playoff series against the Memphis Grizzlies after an unusually inactive game against Minnesota for the playoff spot. In the play-in match with his old team, he plugged in just two points.
Although his shots were off, Russell still showed off some productivity for the team, handing out eight assists. In response to the unsatisfying numbers he had against Minnesota, Russell said he still has the ability to influence the outcome of a game.
“I try to show that I’m that type of player,” he said.
“I could’ve had 20 assists that night. Could’ve had 15 assists that night. If I’m not making shots, I can still control the game. Simple as that.”
In the postgame press conference after Russell’s underwhelming performance, Lakers head coach Darvin Ham said, “Well, you know, you’re gonna have rough nights out here and I have all the confidence in the world in D’Lo. We’re gonna need him on this run...You know, it’s a long season; some nights it’s not gonna be your night.
Ham continued, “Again, that’s why you try to fortify your roster with multiple players who are capable of once you call their number, they’re able to not just go out there and gobble up minutes but get minutes and play at a high level...make no mistake we brought D’Lo out here to come out here and be D’Lo and to make plays.”
Ham’s comment about Russell bouncing back was spot on. In Game 1 against Memphis,
he came back with 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists to help the Lakers steal the win while on the road.
Russell said, “That’s what I do. I’m a shot-maker, man. I thought we had good looks...I was trying to make passes to make the game easier for the other guys. Then eventually I saw one go in and that was kind of what I needed.”
Right now, Russell is averaging 13.8 points in the postseason
for the Lakers. His future with Los Angeles depends on how he does for the remainder of the playoffs. We have seen both versions of him; his impressive shooting and passing during an important game.
However, to pocket the potential contract he wants, Russell is going to have to continue putting up the numbers Ham and the Lakers need him to. That would also mean playing a bigger role against the Golden State Warriors in round 2 after the Lakers dispatched Memphis in the first round.
Russell's contract extension worries would receive a tremendous boost should the Lakers get past Ja Morant and the Grizzlies in the first round. However, the water for the extension he is seeking would probably get muddied should Russell flame out and the Lakers get bounced from the postseason in an early exit. Russell is eligible to sign a contract with the Lakers until June 30, according to ESPN. If the Lakers choose not to sign him, Russell becomes a free agent this summer.

If you are considering bidding on this property lien, you should understand that there are risks involved in bidding at a trustee auction. You will be bidding on a lien, not on the property itself. Placing the highest bid at a trustee auction does not automatically entitle you to free and clear ownership of the property. You should also be aware that the lien being auctioned off may be a junior lien. If you are the highest bidder at the auction, you are or may be responsible for paying off all liens senior to the lien being auctioned off, before you can receive clear title to the property. You are encouraged to investigate the existence, priority, and size of outstanding liens that may exist on this property by contacting the county recorder's office or a title insurance company, either of which may charge you a fee for this information. If you consult either of these resources, you should be aware that the same lender may hold more than one mortgage or deed of trust on the property. NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNER: The sale date shown on this notice of sale may be postponed one or more times by the mortgagee, beneficiary, trustee, or a court, pursuant to Section 2924g of the California Civil Code. The law requires that information about trustee sale postponements be made available to you and to the public, as a courtesy to those not present at the sale. If you wish to learn whether your sale date has been postponed, and, if applicable, the rescheduled time and date for the sale of this property, you may call (800) 758-8052 or visit this Internet Web site www.Xome.com, using the file number assigned to this case 22-28002. Information about postponements that are very short in duration or that occur close in time to the scheduled sale may not immediately be reflected in the telephone information or on the Internet Web site. The best way to verify postponement information is to attend the scheduled sale. For sales conducted after January 1, 2021: NOTICE TO TENANT: You may have a right to purchase this property after the trustee auction pursuant to Section 2924m of the California Civil Code. If you are an “eligible tenant buyer,” you can purchase the property if you match the last and highest bid placed at the trustee auction. If you are an “eligible bidder,” you may be able to purchase the property if you exceed the last and highest bid placed at the trustee auction. There are three steps to exercising this right of purchase. First, 48 hours after the date of the trustee sale, you can call (800) 758-8052, or visit this internet website www.Xome.com, using the file number assigned to this case 22-28002 to find the date on which the trustee’s sale was held, the amount of the last and highest bid, and the address of the trustee. Second, you must send a written notice of intent to place a bid so that the trustee receives it no more than 15 days after the trustee’s sale. Third, you must submit a bid so that the trustee receives it no more than 45 days after the trustee’s sale. If you think you may qualify as an “eligible tenant buyer” or “eligible bidder,” you should consider contacting an attorney or appropriate real estate professional immediately for advice regarding this potential right to purchase.

programs such as the CSUDH Presidential Scholars and non-profit programs, The Dymally Fellows Program, and the African American Leadership Training Summit.
