Today's Gospel passage contains one of the more beautiful, consoling, and profound verses of the NT, Jesus is wishing His followers what is summoned in the magnificent Hebrew term “Shalom.” What Jesus is really offering is not only the absence of conflict, or tensions, in one's life. Jesus' wish incorporates every blessing necessary for us to be who and what God intends us to be. It is a blessing intended for our daily lives, and also for our interactions with others.
The peace that Jesus offers is not only a promise to spare us from pain and difficulties.It is the peace that assures us that, for those whose lives are rooted in a deep love for Jesus, there can be a deeper peace; the one that St. Paul calls “the peace that surpasses
Over and over again we have witnessed the presence of that peace in the life of the Church. It has been present in the lives of parishioners, colleagues, or friends. It is a strength deeply rooted in a sincere peace, the one that enables people to hold onto their faith,and to hope even at times when terrible crisis, suffering, and loss would seem to overcome their lives. It is the peace that will allow people to have the certainty that they are still deeply loved by God.
Every time we celebrate Holy Mass where true peace is offered in the Eucharist, let us ask for authentic peace in our hearts. Let us ask for the peace that will allow us to replace chaos with order, hatred with love, and turmoil with calm. May the peace of God, which is beyond all human understanding,be with you all!

LA PAZ LES DEJO, MI PAZ LES DOY.
El Evangelio de hoy contiene uno de los más hermosos, consoladores y profundos versos de NT; en el Jesús desea a sus seguidores la grandiosidad de lo que la palabra hebrea “Shalom” significa. La Paz que Jesús ofrece a través de ella no es solo la ausencia de conflictos en nuestras vidas. Jesús confiere ahora a sus discípulos todas las bendiciones necesarias para convertirlos en las personas que Dios quiere que sean. Es esta una bendición para nuestra vida diaria, especialmente orientada a nuestras relaciones con los demás. La paz que Jesús ofrece no es solo para alejar de nosotros las dificultades y el dolor Es la Paz que nos asegura que para aquellas almas enraizadas profundamente en el amor verdadero habrá una paz verdadera; la paz que San Pablo dice que “sobrepasa todo entendimiento humano.”

Una y otra vez hemos atestiguado esa paz en la vida de la Iglesia. Es la paz presente en la vida de los fieles, compañeros, o amigos. Es una fortaleza fuertemente anclada en la fe y en un corazón contrito que permite al discípulo cristiano agarrarse de su fe; y esperar, aun cuando la crisis del sufrimiento o la perdida parezcan insuperables en sus vidas. Es la paz que le permitirá al que sufre tener la certeza de ser todavía amado íntimamente por aquel que lo creo
Cada vez que celebramos la Santa Misa donde la paz de Dios es ofrecida en la Eucaristía, pidamos que el Señor inunde nuestros corazones con la auténtica paz. Pidamos la paz que en nuestras vidas cambiara el caos en orden, el odio en amor, y la agitación en calma. ¡Que la Paz de Dios, que sobrepasa todo entendimiento este siempre con todos ustedes!

Nhiều lần chúng ta chứng kiến sự bình an trong đời sống của Giáo Hội. Đó là sự bình an hiện hữu trong đời sống của người giáo dân, đồng nghiệp, hoặc bạn bè. Đó là sức mạnh sâu xa bắt nguồn từ sự bình an đích thật, là sức mạnh giúp chúng ta giữ vững niềm tin và hy vọng ngay cả khi bị khủng hoảng, đau khổ, và mất mát dường như không thể vượt qua trong cuộc sống của chúng ta. Đó là sự bình an mà chắc chắn chúng ta vẫn được Thiên Chúa nồng nàn mến yêu.
Mỗi lần chúng ta dâng Thánh Lễ nơi mà sự bình an đích thực được ban tặng qua bí tích Thánh Thể,chúng ta hãy cầu xin sự bình an đích thực trong tâm hồn chúng ta. Chúng ta cũng cầu xin sự an bình vượt thắng s sự hỗn loạn, thù ghét thành yêu thương, và kích động thành yên tĩnh. Nguyện xin bình an của Thiên Chúa, Đấng vượt quá mọi sự am hiểu của con người,luôn ở cùng tất cả quý vị!
