Welcome to our November 2017
issue. Eleven years ago this magazine
made its first appearance. I fondly
remember the day when I made Wye Local more than
just an idea. Back then it was just me. I was the sales, the
pre-press, the delivery, and the numbers person.
Now, 11 years later, we have grown into a brand called
Cariads Local Ltd. We have two sales people, two
designers, an events chap, a credit controller, an accounts
lady, a pro-active delivery team and me. We branched
out to Brecon to produce our other monthly magazine,
Local Beacon, in 2009. A Local Landscapes Annual
Calendar emerged also in 2009. Do you remember the
car boot sales we organised first at Hay Primary School,
then moving to Gwernyfed High School? These have
now been handed on. In 2014 we launched the Cariads
Family Magazine, running three times a year. In 2015 we
took on the Brecon Jazz: Fringe Guide.
