Dear Parents, Carers, and Students,
As we close out another week at Cobram Anglican Grammar School, there’s much to reflect on.
Our VCE students began their exams this week, and we’re incredibly proud of the dedication they’ve shown as they work through this significant milestone in their academic journey. We wish them continued focus and success in the weeks ahead.

Meanwhile, our Junior School has been immersed in an active swimming program at Barooga ARC This valuable initiative not only builds essential swimming skills, but also strengthens our students’ confidence and safety in the water. We appreciate the efforts of all involved, making this program such a positive experience for our students.
As we head into a well-deserved long weekend, we extend our best wishes to all our families Enjoy the break, and we look forward to an exciting final few weeks of the term upon our return.

First Installment of Junior School Swimming Program a Success!
At Cobram AGS, we believe learning to swim is essential, which is why our Junior School swimming program is designed to build confident, capable swimmers.
This week, students from Years 3-6 dove into lessons at Barooga Aquatic and Recreation Centre, (BARC) where experienced instructors and our very own Year 10 Sports Academy students led engaging, skill-building sessions
As part of their Certificate II in Sport Coaching, the Year 10s took on a teaching role, guiding the younger students under the watchful eyes of qualified instructors. They demonstrated proper techniques and offered support, creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere that allowed each student to thrive. Grouped by skill level, the younger students practised strokes, water safety, and lifesaving skills tailored to their abilities
Each session not only developed swimming skills but also strengthened water safety knowledge, which is a critical part of our curriculum from Foundation to Year 10. The Year 10 students reflected on their teaching experiences, often noting the importance of feedback and teamwork in enhancing their instructional skills each day.
A big thanks to Mr O’Dwyer for organising this impactful program, to BARC for their support, and to Sporting Schools for providing the funding which makes this valuable program accessible to our students.
We now look forward to students in Foundation to Year 2 commencing their swimming program on the 11th of November.

A Day at Paul Grinter’s Robotic Dairy Farm
On Thursday our Year 9 Humanities and Year 9/10 Animal Science students had the wonderful opportunity to visit Paul Grinter’s fully autonomous dairy farm as part of the RACE Victoria project, gaining firsthand insight into the role of AI and technology in modern dairy farming!
The excursion covered everything from the importance of high-quality cattle nutrition, calf rearing, and daily farm operations, to the innovative use of cow collars that monitor health and welfare
Paul and his family shared valuable information about career paths in the dairy industry, sparking interest in future opportunities for our students.
Special thanks to Agri-tech Education and Innovation, CQ University, and organisers Grace and Katie for this enlightening experience, and to Paul, Scarlett, and Tristan for hosting such an interesting excursion on the farm!

A massive congratulations must go the way of Year 6 student Angelina McKay, whose incredible art piece has made it through to the NATIONAL level of the Lions Club Peace Poster competition!
Angelina described her piece as an expression of her passion for equality in the world, regardless of race, nationality, gender or religion.
We’re incredibly proud of Angelina for this amazing achievement. We now collectively cross our fingers and eagerly awaiting the national results – best of luck, Angelina!
