Dear Parents, Carers, and Students,
The 2025 school year has begun with great enthusiasm and energy at Cobram AGS.
We extend a warm welcome to our new staff members: Miss Elizabeth Dorian, Mr Brennan Mills, and Mrs Karen Jonker, who have joined our dedicated teaching team. Their expertise and passion for education will undoubtedly enrich our school community and we look forward to these new staff members settling into their new surrounds.

We also welcome all new students across all year levels, including our Foundation students, who have settled into school life exceptionally well. Their excitement and eagerness to learn have been wonderful to see.
A highlight of this first week was the ‘Welcome Back to 2025 Chapel Service’, conducted by Father Victor Adams. This service provided an opportunity for meaningful reflection and inspiration, setting a positive tone for the year ahead with regard to our Anglican Identity.
With the year now underway, we look forward to a productive and rewarding 2025 at Cobram AGS
Please remember that I am always very happy for parents and carers to come and have a chat at anytime about all things school related

Moments To Treasure Forever: Welcome to Cobram AGS, Foundation C
Foundation C teacher, Mrs Dakota Cox, gives her take on the first week of classes for our new Foundation students!
Foundation C have had a fabulous start to their first year of school. We have been busy learning about the routines of school and how to learn in a classroom. The students have enjoyed participating in hands-on learning, particularly in Mathematics.
We have been learning about patterns with movements, objects and colours. Next week we will progress to three-part patterns using these items. In Literacy, we have focused on writing our name and introduced the correct pencil grip.
At the end of each day we have spoken about our favourite things, some of these have been: “everything!”, “drawing”, “learning patterns”, “playing in the sandpit” and “home time!”
Next week we will begin to introduce the sounds ‘s’ and ‘a’ and will continue to learn about patterns with three parts. The students are also excited to have their first PE lessons in week 2!
What have the students enjoyed so far?
Billie – “Playing and learning”
Lilah – “Playing with my friends”

New Teaching Trio Quickly Find Their Feet
With the start of a new school year, change is often in the air This week, we welcomed three new teachers to the Cobram AGS community, each stepping into their classrooms for the first time.
Miss Elizabeth Dorian has joined Year 1/2, Mr Brennan Mills is teaching Year 3/4, and Mrs Karen Jonker is leading Mathematics across the Senior School, along with Numeracy for our VCE Vocational Major students
This experienced trio of educators have made an excellent start to building classroom connections with their students, and we are excited to see the positive impact they will have on our students both academically and in their personal growth throughout the year.
Welcome to the Cobram AGS family Elizabeth, Karen and Brennan!
