Q-Any Company highlights/awards etc? A- We were very proud to receive the ‘Best Home-Based Business Award’ from Blarney Chamber of Commerce in 2019. So many of our customers congratulated us on this achievement, it felt almost like winning it twice! Q-What is the biggest challenge to your business since #Covid19? Having to close our doors for so long under the lockdowns was an enormous challenge. The first week did feel like a little holiday, but after that, we began missing all our regular customers! A hair salon is more than just a service for many people – it is a treat and a social occasion combined. So, it was very hard to give up that interaction that we're so used to. While adopting the necessary safety measures did require some extra effort, it was absolutely worth it to ensure the wellbeing and health of our customers, which is obviously our primary concern. We are still keeping abreast of all the requirements, of course, and making every effort to ensure that our clientele can come back and feel confident of their safety. Despite all the challenges, it was really heartening to see how keen all our loyal customers were to come back. Before lockdown even lifted, we received weeks' worth of advance bookings for when restrictions ended.
