Arlene Lykken
Arlene has been a member of the YMCA for over 9 years. She decided to join because she wanted to find a gym close to home, and the YMCA is just around the corner. Since then, she’s explored many Group Fitness classes, including cardio-focused classes, SilverSneakers Classic, and SilverSneakers Yoga. Arlene particularly enjoys SilverSneakers Yoga. The class is gentle on her body and a fantastic way to stay active. Each week, she looks forward to exercising and enjoying coffee with her friends in at the YMCA.

One of the most meaningful aspects of the YMCA for Arlene is the friendships she has built over the years. She often arrives 30 minutes early to enjoy coffee and socialize with her friends in the lobby. Building these relationships is why Arlene can maintain both her mental and physical health. Coming to class and being surrounded by friends and staff that care about her makes the YMCA feel like home for Arlene. Beyond attending class, she’s also enjoyed the Twins bus trip twice and joined in on Friday potlucks with fellow members.
Outside of the YMCA, Arlene has numerous hobbies that keep her busy. She loves reading, crocheting, working on jigsaw puzzles, and solving Sudoku puzzles. Thanks to the YMCA, she can socialize with the people she cares about and stay active and fit.
This month, we ’ re excited to invite all our FOREVERWELL members to come together for a great cause. In the Fercho lobby, you’ll find our donation box ready to accept your contributions. By rallying together, we can ease burdens for those facing challenges. Each month, we focus on a different need within our community. This month, we ' re collecting winter jackets, boots, mittens, hats, and snow pants. If you have any new winter clothing to spare, please drop it off in the box today. ®

Halloween Spirt week

Enjoy a fun week of spooky and festive Halloween events. Monday we will be putting out fun Halloween themed snacks in all studios for the week. Join us on Tuesday for candy corn bingo in Dawson Lounge from 9:30-10:00. On Wednesday at Schlossman we will be playing candy corn bingo from 11:15-11:45. Join us on Thursday for Halloween trivia and games in Dawson Lounge from 11:15-11:45. To end the week please dress up on Halloween in your most festive Halloween apparel or costume to SilverSneakers class at both locations.

Enjoy a weekend of scrapbooking and making new friends while enjoying the beautiful, relaxing setting on Big Cormorant Lake! Two meals a day and lodging are provided. SCRAPBOOKING RETREAT
NOVEMBER 7 - 9
Ages 21+
Enjoy a creative weekend in a beautiful setting perfect for scrapbooking or any craft you love. You bring your craft skills and supplies, we’ll take care of the meals, lodging, and plenty of space to unwind and create.
All guests will receive overnight lodging, two meals per day and a personal scrapbooking workstation with electricity access.
In addition to scrapbooking, guests can enjoy nature walks, games, movies and great conversation with fellow scrapbookers!
