Kim Gillette
Kim has been a member and instructor at the YMCA started teaching after a good friend (who also teac encouraged her to apply. At the time, Kim never imagined she would be the one at the front of the room leading a class. But now this role has been one of the happiest surprises to date.
What truly drew Kim in wasn’t just the exercise—it was the community. The members who show up each week are incredibly supportive, encouraging, and full of energy. She loves how everyone notices each other’s progress, shares laughs, and brings their whole hearts to the room. Their positivity is contagious, inspiring her to keep growing right alongside them.
As many of you know, Kim is now teaching FOREVERWELL Tai Chi, and it has quickly become one of the most meaningful parts of her work at the Y. Tai Chi invites us to slow down in a world that moves far too fast. Teaching Tai Chi reminds Kim that strength doesn’t always come from intensity—sometimes it comes from steadiness, intention, and grace.
Outside of the Y, Kim wears a few different hats. She is a career and business coach, helping people design lives and work they’re excited about. Kim is also an author and a creator often working on stainedglass art, writing projects, or supporting local community initiatives. Whether she is teaching, coaching, or creating, her goal is the same: to help people discover what’s possible for their lives.
Kim is grateful every day to be part of this FOREVERWELL community. She wants to thank our members for welcoming her, supporting her, and showing up with such heart. She looks forward to many more classes, conversations, and shared moments of movement.

FOREVERWELL Red River Zoo Field Trip ®
January 8
Fercho and Schlossman YMCA
Register today for our upcoming field trip to the Red River Zoo. Explore unique cold-climate animals, enjoy guided exhibits and learn about wildlife conservation up close. Transportation and a snack is provided. First 15 people to register receive a free swag bag.
Location: Fercho Y bus pick-up 9:30 am, East parking lot entrance. Schlosman y bus pick up 9:45 am, Main lobby
