Maybe though our children, our loved ones or through the different people’s lives we reach with our actions! Impacting the lives of others has been an integral part of Catholic education at Xavier for decades and throughout our storied history, the generosity of individuals has helped create a tradition of excellence. Remembering Xavier Catholic Schools in your will or trust ensures a bright future for generations of Hawks. The Xavier Legacy Circle is a tribute to those generous individuals who have made plans to touch the lives of others by creating their own personal legacy and making a provision in their will for Xavier Catholic Schools or the Xavier Foundation. By joining, you have the knowledge of knowing your impact will live forever and that Xavier will remain strong in the future! To become a member, simply inform the Xavier Advancement office that you have included Xavier in your estate plans. We will work with you to gather the required documentation and make sure that your gift is directed to those areas that you have the greatest passion to support and enhance. While the majority of previous legacy gifts have gone to support scholarships and tuition assistance, we continue to focus future growth in the following areas:
• Endowments for faculty and staff salaries and benefits to ensure that we can maintain the highest quality academics and faith development, in addition to rewarding our system's greatest asset. • Endowments to fund technology and academics and keep Xavier a leader in developing a quality work force and providing students the tools they need to be successful in our ever-changing world. • Funds to cover the cost of capital expenses and deferred maintenance in order to keep our facilities safe, up-to-date, and allow budgeted dollars to be directed toward student development. • Unrestricted funds that allow Xavier to provide for the areas of greatest need.
There really is no single way. The approach you choose will depend on many factors, such as your goals and objectives, family situation, and stage in life. For example, you can: • Make a single, lump sum or series of gifts during your lifetime. • Make a gift that provides income for yourself or a loved one now, and then benefits Xavier in the future. • Make a gift that takes effect after your death. This can be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of, or remainder from your will, trust or other asset such as your retirement fund, investment account or insurance policy. 32
