April 29, 2025 Greetings Xavier Catholic Schools Community, It is our pleasure to share with you exciting news of the appointment of William Welch as our new Xavier High School Principal. Mr. Welch has nine years of experience as a teacher (physics, science), learning coach, athletic coach, and school leader in education, currently serving as Associate Principal of Williams Bay Middle/High School near Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. He is a servant leader with a deep Catholic faith who strives to help youth develop a personal relationship with Jesus. Xavier will benefit from his experiences and expertise in collaborative teamwork, restorative practices, relationship-building, career and technical education, work-based learning, continuous improvement, data-focused learning, and collective ownership and responsibility for the learning success of all students. Mr. Welch shares a deep understanding of the role faith plays in Catholic education, and we are excited about the future of Xavier High School and the positive impact he will have on students, families, faculty, and staff. Mr. Welch officially starts as Xavier High School Principal on July 1, 2025. He has family connections with Xavier and has spent many years enjoying Christmas Stars and our Xavier community. He is excited to lead Xavier High School and looks forward to building relationships with staff and families. Will expressed excitement about joining the Xavier community, “I am overjoyed to be part of the Xavier learning community. I cannot wait to begin working with faculty, families, and parish communities to ensure that every student in our care receives holistic and Catholic faith-filled education that grows and prepares them to be leaders in their faith and future careers.” We thank you for your involvement, feedback, prayers, and patience during the search for our next Xavier High School Principal. We will collaborate with Mr. Welch to fill vacant XHS positions, searching for a new XHS Campus Secretary, Associate Principal, and Campus Minister.
