Meet our new President: Terry Tyrrell

My priorities in life are my faith, family, and vocational call to Catholic education. I am married to Marygrace and have four wonderful children, all under the age of 18. I am blessed to have a healthy, loving family. Most of my free time is spent enjoying life with them. My marriage and children have had a tremendous impact on my life.

My life is balanced between my family and Catholic Central High School. However, when given the opportunity, I love playing golf and reading.

I am an optimist who approaches life joyfully. I enjoy getting to know people and serving others. I am involved in my Catholic parish and coach my children's youth basketball teams.

Professionally, starting with my volunteer year at St. Louis University High School in 1998-99, I have spent twenty-seven years as an administrator, teacher, and coach at six Catholic high schools. Catholic education is my vocation.

I am in my fourth year as the President of Catholic Central High School and love the work. I am blessed to actively follow my vocational call to Catholic school leadership. I am also blessed that my Catholic faith is woven into my professional life, which has allowed both to blossom.

My family recently relocated to Milwaukee, prompted by my wife’s professional opportunity. I will join them next year after completing my Catholic Central tenure. We are already finding Wisconsin to be a wonderful home.

As part of this move, I am looking for opportunities to continue my professional career in Catholic education in Wisconsin. I am interested in St. Francis Xavier Catholic School System because it represents excellence in Catholic education and embraces the Catholic teaching at the center of my faith and life.

In addition, my professional experiences as a Catholic secondary school principal and president over the last twelve years have prepared me well for success in this role. My experiences and values align with St. Francis Xavier Catholic School System’s mission and values.
