THE ULTIMATE CLUB EXPERIENCE The Walla Walla Country Club golf course is a classic “old style” course…built in 1923 with small greens, tree lined fairways and wall-to-wall lush green grass! The left side of the green on the short par five tenth hole is closely guarded by a lake while a meandering creek comes into play on eight holes. While there are only four fairway bunkers, many golfers swear there are more than twenty-six bunkers framing the greens. Driving the ball in the fairway and keeping it underneath the hole on the greens will normally reward the golfer with a good score! The PGA Professionals and staff of the Club are trained not only to help the novice golfer get started correctly, but can also direct and mold the low handicap player to lower scores all in a friendly and fun atmosphere. The pro shop carries the highest quality golf equipment and sportswear at very competitive pricing. Whether it’s a new driver, putter, swing tip, or club repair, the pro shop staff is there to help. The original first nine of the Walla Walla Country Club was built in 1923 by W.W. Baker and redesigned in 1936 by world famous golf course architect A.W. Tillinghast. The second nine opened in 1947. The original Clubhouse was destroyed by fire in 1996. In 1998 the new 22,000 sq. ft. Clubhouse opened its doors to the membership to rave reviews of how “user friendly” it is! The smoke-free Clubhouse radiates a very comfortable and warm feeling without being pretentious or stuffy. Casual and fine dining featuring excellent food and many Walla Walla wines can be found six days and nights every week in the two main dining rooms and during the summer months the large outdoor patio is the place of choice for many diners. Banquet facilities are available to members and their guests for small private parties to large wedding receptions. Whether large or small, formal or informal, the Club can accommodate your needs. Both men’s and women’s locker rooms are furnished with richly grained wood lockers and twelve foot high ceilings. The heated outdoor pool complete with wading pool is a favorite during the warm days of summer. Swimming lessons are always available throughout the summer months and don’t forget the four outdoor lighted tennis courts for those who enjoy a vigorous workout! Socially, the membership is offered a wide variety of activities such as Comedy Night, dinner dances, theme parties, wine tastings, outdoor barbecues, bridge games, fashion shows, holiday brunches and many more Club sponsored events. Varying levels of competitive golf are available for both men and women. Some of the premier golf events are the Senior Invitational, Chapman Invitational, Member-Guest Invitational, and the Couples’ Fall Classic. Couples golf is played every Tuesday and Friday evening during the main golf season followed by dinner on the patio…what a great way to spend the late afternoon and evening! And of course, the lounge with its inviting and warm fireplace is always available to the membership and their guests.

Your family will agree that the Walla Walla Country Club is a great place to get away from the daily chores… your home away from home!
