WORKING MAMAS 2022

Let’s jump into the beauty of hygiene… The average person is more concerned with cleanliness and germs today than ever before. You’re more likely to maintain a healthy lifestyle if you cultivate clean, healthy beauty practices from the start, not just for yourself, but for your family too. In “Is your beauty one of your caps?” (page 10), we learn of 10 daily hygiene tips we can follow. In this issue we tap into a world of essential oils, with Angela Martin as a Wellness Advocate in this field (page 32). Don’t miss our fashion segment, where we get into the “3 ‘kies’ you didn’t know you need.” Find out what they are (page 8). We also explore beautiful road trips with Nadia Horn (page 24). Elsewhere in this issue we celebrate the Authors- Pritma Jashnani (10 Ways to a Beautiful Life) and Annunya Sankhua (The Power of the Hour) (page 35) and you can read up on their book reviews (page 38). An eye-opener in this issue is the stories of phenomenal women- Our cover story features a mom, Envangelique Adams who found out her child is deaf (page 26) – Tousha Peoples’ story on “Stopping the Silence in Homes” (page 16). And – Florian Ferris on the topic of the “Importance of Financial Planning” (page 28). Working-Mama would like to dedicate this issue to all the women fighting silent battles. The giveaway for our MOTHER’S DAY campaign #pampermom was sponsored by @ impossibledreamproduction21(page 7) Finally, to everyone who has liked a picture, shared an article or left a comment, we THANK YOU! The 3 "kies" you didn’t know you need by Evangelique Adams

Well, I had the beautiful privilege of meeting this phenomenal woman Luré Delport at a wellness fundraiser this year. As a speaker to the event, she held the most unique segment I have ever witnessed. Luré is a teacher, model and one of her greatest passions an image consultant. Luré fills a room with laughter and positivity with her creative eye on style and fashion.

I am so sure you are reading the title heading thinking, what is "kies" and why do I need it?

April Issue Finally, we get into the 3 "kies", what is it you ask? Don’t laugh too much when you read this, it is as basic as can be, but the gold to every clothing item you own and will now buy moving forward. Drumroll, please... Takkies (sneakers or tennis shoes) Hakkies (heels) plakkies (flip-flop)

As a mother, I suppose we can go through all 3 in one day. How easy would it be if we approached our busy schedules with no stress about what to wear and still look and feel good? We can do school runs in our takkies, throw on our heels for business, and pop on our plakkies for some catchup dates with friends all in one outfit.

How could this advice change my look on choosing clothing?

Photos provided by model - Anka Hendricks

Luré says that every item you own should be able to be styled with takkies for the runaround or the casual look, hakkies for work or your date night, and lastly plakkies for the smart casual feel we so all desire.

WORKING MAMAS 2022

Is your beauty one of your caps? We know the cliché: “women, we wear so many caps” we wear the wife cap, the career cap, the supporter cap, the mother cap with so many more caps as individuals, but very few of us remember to wear the cap of self-love in the form of body and beauty. As women, we have a natural instinct to care for all those we love; we forget the need to feel good about ourselves. Let’s be honest, as a mother, this instinct doubles- no triples, and we forget that our kids watch us too. As working moms, we provide for our families’ financial and physical needs and think that is all they require. With that said, I would like to introduce you to two myths. Firstly, the myth that girls end up like their mothers, and myth two, boys choose partners like their mothers. Being very deliberate, I want you to think, do I want my daughter to end up like me, and do I want my son to end up with someone like me? When you have thought about all your characteristics, your morals, etc. I want you to consider whether or not you want to be a representation of your hygiene, dress code, and physical appearance? Tough one hay! Now that you’ve done some introspection; let’s jump into the beauty of hygiene as we hear our mothers say: “Bo blink onder stink”, if you are not familiar with this Afrikaans term it’s basically a term used when someone is always ready to dress up but technically didn’t really take a bath/shower. Here are some hygiene tips and let us not judge with so many caps as it is easy to miss out on a few things: 10

10 Daily Hygiene Tips we could follow Evangelique Adams

1.

Wash every day, whether a bath or a shower, don't forget your feet. Something we don't always think about. Don’t forget your navel! 2. Wash your face with products best suited to your skin type 3. Use a good deodorant (change it up, as your body changes, change your deodorant) 4. Use body lotion, not only where people can see (laughing loudly) 5. Brush your teeth twice a day, morning and night 6. Be sure to wash your hands after using the toilet with water and soap. It is safe to say that sanitizer has given the illusion of a good soap replacement. 7. Nail hygiene, even without a Mani and Pedi, ensure to trim and push down cuticles not forgetting to brush under your nails for dirt left behind. 8. Hair removal of underarm, pubic hairs, legs, and unwanted facial hairs. 9. Cleaning your ears regularly, also behind the ears 10. Brush your hair every day, and with braids take note when it goes from neat to untidy.

My Median Daughter Dreams As a kid, I had a deep fear of insecurities and was breaking my head to be a perfectionist. While unleashing this impulse, I tried to manage my world efficiently to ensure my acceptance in society. Success hugged me in a decent career and comfortable life. I was happy outwardly but got exhausted inside. Gradually I learned to unfollow the stigmas of society and be on a mission to simplify my and my child’s life and untangle our happiness. I distanced myself from not judging others or being judged. I let my child live her dreams with lesser boundaries. Both of us practice valuing our self-worth more than others’ feedback. Since I was good at studies, the Society’s Thumb Rule stipulates that my daughter needs to be a bright girl. I often got asked at my office, ‘your daughter must be very good at studies.’ I usually paused, thinking, ‘Is the matter worth responding to.’ Then I responded then react, saying hesitantly, ‘No, she is not. She is an average learner. I am the mother of a median daughter, being proud of her innocence. In one music competition at her school, she did not qualify. Back home, she put herself on the bed slightly down. I went to her and patted her. “What’s up Darling?” She got up and composed herself. Hugging me and said “Nothing Ma. You know Ruchika? She is selected. Rich did better than me. Rich is rich.” I clapped so hard because I was stunned by how seamlessly a twelve-year-old child rationalized her feelings and accepted them. While all her friends are busy dreaming of being doctors, engineers, or a scientist, my daughter talks about traveling far away. She wants to meet different people, make new friends, taste different cuisines, and dream of kissing the entire world with her inherent cheers. She wants to pen what she feels, wander the garden, and breathe in the open sky. My daughter is an average child whom society overlooks. She is neither a Topper nor a Failure.

April Issue

by Nayan Rath

People in and around ignored to appreciate her sweet smile, funny gestures, tight hugs, and helpful behavior because she is JUST an average child. Society celebrates the students who are rank holders, brilliant players. That righteously it should be. Bravo to them! But in all these superlatives, my average daughter remains a delighted spectator. Cheers to her friend with an open heart. Her love for playing basketball never diminishes (even though she knows well that she will not be selected for the school team). And it’s okay for her. She does all this to enjoy every moment of school life rather than compete with her friends. Salute to her maturity! My not so brilliant kid might not be a Doctor, Singer, or Scientist. But she will grow up to be a wonderful human being to spread the fragrance of love & empathy. Let us come forward to notice the average children and appreciate their enthusiasm. All they want is a smile, a kind word from adults. Just an acceptance of being themselves will assure them to trust the World and the confidence to believe that the World is still beautiful to live in.

My name is Tousha Peoples. I am a mother of two beautiful kids, and soon to be married to a man that had my back for years. In my story, I am a survivor of child sexual abuse. My biological father has been raping and molesting me from the time I was six years old until 17 years of age. Dealing with abuse for years by a father who groomed and manipulated me to think it was normal for us to have sex. I still felt confused and knew it was wrong in my heart. I have been silent for years and told no one because I was threatened by my father. I was also raped by another man in 2013 and ended up in deep depression because in my mind I felt like a sex object to men. I was still trying to find my purpose.

AngeOils brings relief What is pain?

by Angela Martin

“Pain is an uncomfortable feeling that tells you something may be wrong. It can be steady, throbbing, stabbing, aching, pinching, burning or described as a nuisance and may even be debilitating.” AngOils is an essential oil-infused business offering you natural solutions to support your health and wellness now and in the future. Formerly known as @i.eat.oils; AngOils faced a dilemma wherein I could not afford an essential oil product that I so badly wanted to get to relieve my mother’s chronic pain because of arthritis and fibromyalgia. I was desperate, and I started looking at the essential oils I had access to in my little makeup case I had, and researched them. I wanted to know what benefits they offered and if these benefits would assist in pain relief and pain management. After some tries, I found the right combination of oils and my mother started using the blend on her painful joints during the day. She could quickly fall asleep at night, function during the day, and do more - like baking! Pain can be managed depending on the source of your pain and the type of pain you have. My business provides you with solutions to manage your pain. If you are a gym enthusiast or a sports person or you simply hurt yourself doing a daily task, the Pain Blend is a tool to help relieve the pain so that you can resume everyday tasks. We also have a CBD offering (Charlotte’s Angel), which is a more permanent solution to chronic pain/inflammation. CBD is lipophilic or fat-soluble, so it compounds in our bodies over time, which benefits you the longer you consume it. https://rethinkcbd.co.za/2021/06/03/can-you-take-cbd-daily/

WORKING MAMAS 2022

My story by Pravani Pillay

A warm hello - having been born and raised in a traditional Indian South African home, I grew up with the practice of certain Hindu teachings but never really understood the origin of it, nor the meaning and intent behind it. It is only much later in adulthood, that the craziness of modern-day life led me on a path to seeking alternate, holistic coping mechanisms to the daily stresses in my life. Having experienced a deep connection to Ayurveda & Buddhism practices, I decided to start my journey of learning more about the ancient wisdom and have tried to find ways to incorporate small aspects of these teachings into my daily life to enable me to be more present in it. I have felt the many benefits in small changes, such as incorporating a few minutes of meditation and breathwork into my day. By being intentional about my daily self-care practices I have had in my own life, such as decreasing my overall stress and truly bringing about a newfound sense of joy as I choose to remain present in each moment and fill my heart with kindness. These moments of being still have allowed me to connect to ‘me’ and who I am, resonate with my purpose in life and has given me the chance to find my centre in our 20 Articles

fast-paced environment. I hope that by incorporating small changes in your life to intentionally pause and connect with who you are, by taking time to be kind to yourself, those around you (people, animals, and nature), by taking time to truly experience the little wonders of life with a loving heart we can bring a little more kindness into our beautiful world. Our name, CITTARA: Inspired by the beauty and deep meaning of the Sanskrit language, Cittara is derived from the words ‘Citta’ meaning ‘mind’, ‘heart’ and ‘consciousness’. Citta is often explained as ‘heart-mind’ as it is the consciousness of both thoughts and emotions. Whereas ‘Ra’ connotes with light and radiance. Our Motto: Make time in your day to Be Still Be Kind Be Present It is easy to feel lost in today’s fast-paced environment of constant stress and fleeting moments. It is not until we take an intentional moment from the hustle to pause and be still and really connect the mind, body & spirit, that we start to really see the simple beauty in that moment by being present.

We carry a beautiful range of positive energy and protection jewellery, meditation tools and selfcare products to support you in your self-love and mindfulness rituals. Taking inspiration from the ancient wisdom, our beautiful range of products will inspire, encourage, and enhance your journey towards happiness, positive energy, radiant beauty and overall well-being from within. The candle flame illuminates the infused intention and carries it into the Universe when extinguished. Crystals hold powerful healing energies, as we connect to the crystal and its strength, it allows us to align and connect to this healing power. We love snacking, even when we follow a healthy lifestyle, and there are plenty of health-conscious options available. Keep snacks to a minimum. Find out why you snack between meals. You may not be eating the right kinds of food to keep you full until the next meal. Perhaps your meals are too small. Eating a meal that will leave you full is better than developing a cycle in which you eat too little at mealtimes and then snack on foods high in calories but low in nutritional value. Snack on foods that will contribute to a balanced, healthy diet and in small to moderate portions. Snacks that are almost Carb-free • Cherry tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, or celery sticks with low cottage cheese • Small handful unsalted raw nuts or seeds • Olives • Avocado or guacamole dip with veggies like cucumber, celery, or tomatoes • Biltong snap sticks • Small piece of low-fat cheese

Your car radio can play music from the 1980s and 1990s, as well as current contemporary hits. For every traveller, there is another music option. Travellers should bring their own headphones or earphones so that there is no squabbling over the different types of music hits. Make sure all cell phones are fully charged, and don't forget power banks. A picnic basket should be the basis of every road trip. Cold water, juices, healthy snacks - biltong, nuts, dried fruit, Chocolate and crisps (Yes, I said chocolates and crisps as when eaten in moderation would be good for us!) Finding out my child is deaf...

HER STORY by Elize Fisher

1)

Give a short description of your emotional state when you found out that your child is deaf.

Honestly, I have no better way to describe the feeling except numb. I had no emotion but shock. How could this happen to us? Was this all just a dream? I felt like a failure like I was being punished for something. I suffered major depression right after, but I stayed strong because that is what I was told. Despite being told that you are strong, I felt defeated, waiting for my nightmare to end. Despite all that, I still felt hopeful; because there must be something good in it, for a storm precedes a blessing 2)

How do you navigate life as a working mom while raising two kids?

As a working mom and raising two kids just a year apart, one having special needs, it is tough to keep up with the day-to-day tasks of life. Work is work, but the difficult part comes after the working hours. When there are pickups from school, housework is to be in order and let us not forget the duty of a wife (hiding face). With speech therapy once a week, I am fortunate to work in a flexible environment where I can work around those hours. I have a husband who jumps in whenever and wherever needed, mostly cleaning up after the kids. I am grateful to my extended family for their constant love and support throughout our journey. Coffee keeps me going on most days. I just realized that I must wake up and show up, not only for my family but also for my well-being. I believe that a happy mom creates a happy home. 3)

What is your advice to mothers raising a kid with hearing loss?

Firstly, I would say it is not your fault. The biggest battle we fight as mothers is blaming ourselves, questioning what we could have done differently to prevent this. I would also advise moms to go the extra mile in finding out what can be done to help their little one excels in all they do. As for us, we did test after tests and learned of a Cochlear Implant. I was fortunate that my daughter's operation was approved, and now we do speech and occupational therapy. Four years later, she can speak and is with her peers at school. Never give up on teaching daily, have patience and speak with love and care. Lastly, I would say, DO NOT forget about your well-being. It is so easy to stop caring for yourself as you take more care of others. Take time, embrace your emotions, learn to love who you are, and appreciate what you do.

WORKING MAMAS 2022

The importance of Financial Planning Financial planning is an invaluable aspect of our lives and is also a topic that most people would rather avoid. The reality is; that every one of us needs to have proper financial planning in place. Planning is not for the rich only. If you have goals and dreams, you must be in a situation whereby you have the financial freedom to reach those goals and ambitions- You must plan for everything in life. A plan toward financial freedom is to have proper financial planning in place. I feel that it should be at the top of your list.

Five problems in life knock at everyone's doors (rich or poor, young or old.) -Dying too soon -Disability and critical illness -Living too long -Major medical expenses -Tax and inflation. To be financially covered when these life events happen, you need insurance. Insurance is not just a piece of paper when you buy it but will be invaluable when a life event occurs. With insurance, your family won't have to carry the financial burden in the event of your death. You also won't have to worry about not getting an income if you become disabled or are diagnosed with a terminal illness. Or pay large medical bills not covered by your medical aid. By saving towards your retirement, you will be able to earn an income for as long as you live. You will also keep up with inflation and learn how you can save on taxes. My story. Part of my becoming a financial advisor is through a life experience that happened to me. My partner passed on in 2018 at the age of 38. His passing left me with three boys to raise all by myself. Fortunately, he had some cover in place. Our bond (mortgage) and his debt settled, and I was able to save money for our children's education. 28 Articles

by Florian Ferris

Through the legacy he left behind, my kids and I have a house we can call home. My 18-year-old son can study toward his dream of becoming a lawyer, and the educational needs of the other two are also covered. Was the cover enough? No, it was not. We had no plan for the loss of income. That left me as a single mom to cover all the expenses. You can have a settled bond (mortgage), but the house still needs to be maintained, paying the insurance, school fees, and other running costs. As a single mom, I made many decisions that I could have avoided had I sat with an advisor to help with proper planning. It made me realize that there is a knowledge gap in our society regarding financial planning. People are dying without leaving a legacy behind. Their families sit with financial burdens. Older people live too long without earning a decent income and rely on a government pension. People become disabled and unable to earn an income to cover the monthly expenses. We should stop avoiding the topic of financial planning, and everyone needs to have it in place. We need to realize what impact it will have on our lives and our loved ones if not in place. Global Competition launched in the

LEGO brand's 90th year! by Lee- Yandra Paulsen

Denmark, Billund, February 2022LEGO has announced a USD 143 million global challenge to fund innovative early childhood solutions. It will address what Anna- Birgitte Albrectsen, CEO of The LEGO Foundation, calls a "global early childhood emergency." Characterized by a lack of access to education, health care, and other basic needs, exacerbated by the global pandemic. A new initiative launched by The LEGO Foundation called the 'Build A World of Play Challenge' will allow any organization that can positively impact the youngest children around the world to bid for a share of the USD 143 million grant. The amount is equivalent to 900 million Danish Kroner, reaffirming the LEGO Foundation’s commitment in the LEGO® brand’s 90th year to ensure children globally are allowed opportunities to learn through play. It will support their early learning and the development of holistic skills, ensuring children everywhere thrive and reach their full potential in life. “All children have the right to feel safe and access quality education and healthcare. But to date, early childhood development has been not just under-recognized, but grossly underfunded” said Thomas Kirk Kristiansen, Chair of the Board of Directors

at The LEGO Foundation, and the fourth generation of the LEGO owner family. Grants will be awarded to those researching evidence-based innovative solutions to today's most pressing issues, including access to high-quality early childhood education and care, adequate nutrition, the elimination of toxic stress in homes and communities, the reduction of violence in homes and communities, pollution prevention, and supporting the social and emotional well-being of the entire family. The solutions should make a significant difference in the lives of children aged 0 to 6 years old and create a global movement to prioritize early childhood development. In the 90th year of the LEGO® brand, LEGO®is investing more money in early childhood development than ever before. 167 million children in 196 countries lost access to early childhood care and education between March 2020 and February 2021. Pre-primary students, who account for 120 million children, were the least likely to have access to remote learning. Between 2018 and 2020, an average of 290,000 to 340,000 children were born refugees each year, resulting in roughly a million children being born as refugees. CEO of LEGO Foundation Anne-Birgitte Al-

brectsen said: "Through the Build A World of Play Challenge, we want to join forces with others to urgently address the biggest challenges societies globally face, with creative, actionable ideas that put children at the center of global decision making.” The five winning organizations will receive a total grant of USD 143 million- Three grants totaling approximately USD 30 million and two grants totaling approximately USD 15 million. Each finalist will be given a one-million-dollar grant to strengthen their strategies, create a team, and develop the skills necessary to implement their innovations.

Authors Stories 10 ways to a Beautiful Life About the Book Tips on how to maintain relationships, how to let go of the people who don’t care for you, how to spend time with yourself and explore about yourself, how to believe in yourself and ways to show gratitude to the universe for all good things in life About the Author Pritma is the head of Centre of Computer Technology and has been in this field for the last 25 years teaching computer programming languages. What inspired you to write this book? I came across various situations in my life and in the life of others whom I know. I then tried to find ways of coming out of such situations which we feel are difficult but are not because life is beautiful if you change your perspective towards it. What can people learn by reading your book? They will learn that nothing is permanent in this world, not even our worries. They will go just the same way as they came. Secondly people will learn that they must stop depending on others for getting their task done. We alone are sufficient to do our tasks and stand apart from others.

Did you always want to be an Author? Yes Have you written any books before? Yes If the question to the previous question is YES, then share a brief about each book you have written prior to this one. Well, I have written study materials and workbooks on the Programming languages I teach like PHP, JAVA, ASP.NET, C, C++, ANDROID, ORACLE etc. How has writing this book changed your life? It has given me a new perception to life. I have started taking care of my health. I have also started letting go of things which are not under our control. So, it has changed my life. 35 Articles

Authors Stories

The Power of the Hour About the Book It’s a book on time management, a skill which is a must and required. A precise book, a book which anyone can relate to. And someone can read individually each chapter. The book is solely based on actual life experiences. About the Author Annunya Sankhua is a human behaviour analyst, parent coach, public speaker, and image consultant. Her dominant area in training includes Non-verbal (which essentially is body language and voice variety), Verbal communication, and Emotional Intelligence. She assists people in creating a lasting first impression and understanding the art of clustering and styling outfits. With a MBA in systems and HR, she comes with a working experience of over 7+ years with various industries like retail, hospitality, and IT. Her 36

last assignment was with RBS as a Business Support Analyst. She was also associated with the Lifeline foundation as a volunteer. Two things that made her venture into the training industry: 1 With all these industries, ‘be it be the front end or the back end’; there was one constant element, ‘THE PEOPLE,’ which fascinated her to venture into the industry of training that is ALL ABOUT PEOPLE.

2 Since childhood, she has been curious, inquisitive, and interested to know more, know why, and knowhow? And this curiosity led her to be a trainer, to understand what makes people tick? WHY DO THEY DO WHAT THEY DO? Annunya is a highly empathetic and skilled communicator who connects with people effortlessly. Traveling, writing blogs and quotes, sketching, colouring, dancing, kickboxing, and wardrobe styling are some of her favourite activities. She is a wife, mother to a cute son, and an ardent animal lover. What inspired you to write this book? I struggled with my time management skills, and I read a lot of books on that, but somehow I couldn’t follow all the techniques as described in the book. And I learned it in my own way how to manage myself to manage my time, because time is constant. What we can do is work on ourselves. And knowledge and experiences when shared it makes the giver feel amazing as well as the receiver feel the same. And what can be a better way than writing a book and sharing the knowledge and experiences and empowering the readers?

April Issue What can people learn by reading your book? All about managing themselves. As I always tell and believe, time is constant and is same for everyone. One should know the ways how to use their time effectively. And the book will add value to the readers and empower them to be the master of their time. The language is simple, and situations mentioned are relatable. Did you always want to be an Author? Yes Have you written any books before? No How has writing this book changed your life? Oh! It has in lot of ways. First, I feel delighted I shared the knowledge and experiences with the world. Second, it gives me a sense of accomplishment and achievement. And third, it’s exciting when I introduce myself as an author and tell people yes you can get my book on Amazon. As my first book has become the Amazon’s bestseller, it inspires me to write more books to share my experience with the world.

Make your computer work more efficiently by Lee- Yandra Paulsen

How to make your computer run faster If you’ve been using your computer for more than a year or two, you’ve noticed that basic functionality has diminished. There are many possible reasons for this, including too many files to bring down the system, operating system bugs, etc. There are several ways to run your computer faster.

Check hard disk space

If you have an enlarged hard drive filled with files that you do not need, this may be the reason your PC slowed down. Delete old programs and files that you do not need or compress some of your files (especially large files). If you use Windows 10, it contains an embedded tool (Storage Sense) to clean up your hard drive and improve PC performance. Go to Settings > System > Storage, and at the top of the screen, move the toggle from Off to On. When doing so, Windows continuously watches your PC and deletes the unwanted old files not needed by the temporary files and the old Recycle Bin files. Alternative methods to remove a large/unnecessary file: PC: Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup. Mac: Download CCleaner to find and delete temporary files on your hard disk.

Uninstall Unnecessary Programs

Mac: Drag the app to the Trash and uninstall it manually. You can also download programs to sort and delete programs. PC: Go to [Control Panel]> [Add or Remove Programs] / [Uninstall a program]. This will display the main list of all installed programs. For unfamiliar programs- right-click and select Last Used On to see how often the program is used.

Reboot your PC

If your PC is loading very slowly, try restarting it. Many people mistakenly put their PC to sleep or hibernate when not in use, rather than shutting it down completely. This is very convenient because you don’t have to go through the entire boot process when you turn on your PC. However, shutting down your computer completely can clear temporary files and start over.

Disable auto-launching programs

Some programs start automatically when the computer is booted up. This function is designed to be user-friendly, so the user does not need to run the program manually. The problem starts when many programs start when you open a computer. To prevent this make sure the software does not start when the computer is turned on. Mac: In Apple’s menu, select System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items. Select the programs that you want to automatically run to ban and press the negative (-) sign to delete them. PC: Open the Start Menu and search for “MSConfig” -Select “Startup” to view the list of all programs launched when downloading the computer and uncheck all unnecessary programs.

Check RAM and add more if needed RAM or Random Access Memory is the memory used by your computer. The more programs used; the more RAM is needed. So, your computer can work slowly if it lacks RAM. Mac: Open the Activity Monitor by selecting the Library > Utilities and selecting the System Memory. If the pie diagram is mostly green and blue, the RAM is fine. If it’s mostly red and yellow, you should think about installing additional RAM. PC: Initialize Windows Task Manager by clicking Ctrl + Alt + Del. Select the “Performance” tab and find an area called “Physical Memory”. (MB). If you find that the number next to the field Available is less than 25% of the total MB, consider adding RAM.

Update your computer’s software Software updates fix bugs and glitches that slow down your computer. To check if the current software is up to date: PC: Click the Start Button > All Programs > Windows Update > Check for Updates. Mac: Go to Apps under the Apple icon menu and click on About this Mac.

Close tabs After working on a project and opening many tabs, it may be useful to close the tabs and restart the browser.
