A bit of polo trivia, did you know ? • Professional and amateur players often play together and the handicap systems determines if one of the team starts with a goal advantage. • Following each goal the teams change sides, line up in two rows to await the “throw-in” by the referee. • Players are allowed to “ride off ” other players but this action must respect certain conditions including no contact at sharp angles ! • When an advancing player hits the ball that establishes the “line of the game” that can not be crossed by opposing players.
