By far, the best-selling type of property was resale condominiums (44 percent), followed by condominiums in the pre-construction phase (29 percent). Houses came next (20 percent), followed by land (6 percent) and, finally, multifamily properties (1 percent).

Por mucho, el tipo de propiedad más vendida fueron los condominios en reventa con 44 por ciento y en fase de preconstrucción con 29 por ciento.

Following these were communities such as West Nuevo Vallarta (7 percent), North Central Vallarta (6 percent) and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle (5 percent). The top 10 was completed by the South Shore, Flamingos and Punta de Mita.

Las siguientes tres zonas más populares son la Zona Hotelera con 17 por ciento, Bucerías con 11 por ciento y Marina Vallarta con 8 por ciento. Thus, both foreign and Mexican buyers showed a preference for using it mostly as an investment (35 percent), followed closely by vacation ownership (33 percent). Whereas 19 percent of those interviewed said they will use it to retire, 13 percent will use it as their primary residence.

Property Payment While 80 percent of property buyers in Vallarta · Nayarit paid in cash and without financing, 10 percent will pay through financing provided by the developer, 6 percent through Mexican financing and only 4 percent through foreign financing.
