CBI Mortgages was founded by Canadian Joshua Rappaport, who currently serves as general manager. The businessman has been based in Puerto Vallarta since 2003 and has more than 10 years of experience in the mortgage sector. Currently, CBI Mortgages offers 99 percent of its mortgage products for foreigners and coordinates loans throughout the country. 11th International Congress of Interior Design & Architecture

The three-day event was held at the Hotel Fiesta Americana, where important figures in the industry gathered to talk about their experiences and new trends.

The Sociedad Mexicana de Interioristas (SMI) (Mexican Society of Interior Designers) held the 11th edition of the Congreso Internacional de Interiorismo y Arquitectura (International Congress of Interior Design and Architecture), an event endorsed by the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers, considered among the most important in Latin America.

The three-day event was held at the Hotel Fiesta Americana in Puerto Vallarta, where important figures in the industry gathered to talk about their experiences, new trends and avant-garde materials. Among them were interior designers Victoria Plasencia and Pedro Solaegui (Guadalajara); Aurelio Vázquez, Nadja Borras and Paulina Morán (Mexico City); Filipao Nunes (Portugal); Marc Ange (France); and Christopher Guy (London). In addition, landscaper Fausto Reyes (Los Angeles) and architect Jaime Barba (Guadalajara) were among the roster of special guests.

Attendees had the opportunity to visit the event’s exhibition area, where suppliers such as Distribuidora Orli, USG Tableros Arquitectónicos and Elegancia Textil Hotelera (ETH) displayed their products and services. Also, during the congress, the 10th edition of the Concurso Inter-Universitario de Interiorismo (Inter-University Interior Design Competition) was held, geared to students in the final semesters of said degree.

La Sociedad Mexicana de Interioristas (SMI) celebró la décimo primera edición del Congreso Internacional de Interiorismo y Arquitectura, evento avalado por la Federación Internacional de Arquitectos y Diseñadores de Interiores que está considerado entre los más importantes de Latinoamérica.

El evento tuvo tres días de actividad en el Hotel Fiesta Americana de Puerto Vallarta, donde se dieron cita importantes exponentes del ramo para hablar acerca de su experiencia, nuevas tendencias y materiales de vanguardia. Entre ellos, estuvieron los interioristas Victoria Plasencia y Pedro Solaegui (Guadalajara); Aurelio Vázquez, Nadja Borras y Paulina Morán (Ciudad de México); así como Filipao Nunes (Portugal), Marc Ange (Francia) y Christopher Guy (Londres).

LUMA offers units with two to five bedrooms. The master plan presents five towers of 10 levels, of which two are already fully finished and sold.

About 100 brokers and real estate professionals from various companies met at the open house of the LUMA development, located on Paseo de los Cocoteros in Nuevo Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit. The event took place within the facilities of the complex’s new sales offices and model unit, so attendees could see first-hand the project’s features and amenities.

LUMA offers units with two to five bedrooms. The master plan presents five towers of 10 levels, of which two are already fully finished and sold. Marketing and construction of the remaining three is currently underway.

Among the development’s amenities are beach decks, palapa with bar and kitchen, outdoor Jacuzzis, three swimming pools (two of them heated), spa, gym with ocean view, Pilates and yoga room, concierge service, underground parking and storage, salon for events and access to the beach (the latter with an approximate length of 490 feet). In addition, it has access control and 24-hour surveillance. Residents’ privileges also include Paradise Village Social Membership.

El evento tuvo lugar dentro de las instalaciones de las nuevas oficinas de ventas y unidad modelo del complejo, por lo que los asistentes pudieron conocer de primera mano las características y amenidades del proyecto.

LUMA ofrece departamentos de dos a cinco recámaras. El plan maestro presenta cinco torres de 10 niveles, de las cuales dos ya se encuentran totalmente terminadas y vendidas. Actualmente, se lleva a cabo la comercialización y construcción de las tres restantes.

Entre las amenidades del desarrollo se encuentran decks de playa, palapa con bar y cocina, jacuzzis al aire libre, tres piscinas (dos de ellas climatizadas), spa, gimnasio con vista al mar, sala de Pilates y yoga, servicio de concierge, estacionamiento y bodegas subterráneas, salón para eventos y acceso a playa (esta última con una extensión aproximada de 150 metros). Además, cuenta con control de acceso y vigilancia las 24 horas. Los privilegios de los residentes incluyen también la Paradise Village Social Membership.

Domus Presents Inventory within El Tigre

During the tour, 14 exclusive properties located within the residential community El Tigre Golf & Country Club were visited.

Domus Fine Real Estate organized a tour of 14 exclusive properties located within the residential community El Tigre Golf & Country Club, in Nuevo Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit.

The caravan consisted of 36 real estate professionals from external companies and 10 internal colleagues, who got to know the features, amenities and advantages of each of the properties, as well as the excellent sales commission plans.

Mexico Home to the Most Innovative Building in the World

Torre Reforma is the highest complex in the country, at more than 805 feet, and stands out for the triangular shape of its upper part.

Torre Reforma, a 57-story building located in Mexico City, was recognized as the most innovative skyscraper in the world during the 2018 International Highrise Award ceremony, which took place in Frankfurt, Germany. More than 36 properties from 15 countries participated in the competition, and the jury was made up of architects, structural engineers and specialists in real estate development, who determined the winner unanimously.

Currently, Torre Reforma is the highest complex in the country, at more than 805 feet, and stands out for the triangular shape of its upper part. It is located on Paseo de la Reforma and was designed

by Mexican architect Benjamín Romano. It mainly houses offices but also offers a variety of services such as bars, restaurants, gardens, terraces and sports facilities. It is the only building in Mexico that has the LEED Platinum certification, thanks to its features and intelligent design, which allow it to save 25 percent more energy than other buildings of its type. Likewise, 85 percent of its materials are of national origin.

On the other hand, the ground floor of the skyscraper integrates a property that was built at the beginning of the 20th century and is protected due to its historical value.

Sergio Martín-Sánchez grew up in Mexico City, where he studied Law at Universidad Panamericana, one of the most important universities in Mexico. Before graduating (mid-1980s), he began working as a consultant for Grupo Industrial Alfa, the real estate developer known for having created the Las Hadas complex in Manzanillo, Colima.

Antes de egresar (mediados de los 80), comenzó a trabajar como asesor para Grupo Industrial Alfa, desarrollador inmobiliario conocido por haber creado el complejo Las Hadas en Manzanillo, Colima.

It was, at that time, the largest legal system in all of Mexico, comprising more than 100 elements. After graduating, he worked for several international firms that were engaged in different areas and was legal director of the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (Mexican Stock Exchange).

Se trataba, en aquel tiempo, del jurídico más grande de todo México, pues estaba compuesto por más de 100 elementos. Al concluir sus estudios, trabajó para diversas firmas internacionales que se dedicaban a diferentes rubros y fue director jurídico de la Bolsa Mexicana de Valores.

His career would take an unexpected turn when he moved to Los Cabos, as due to his activities and strategic location in Baja California, he began to travel frequently to Tijuana, a city that in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s was experiencing a boom in maquiladoras (companies that import raw materials, machinery and equipment free of taxes, then manufacture in Mexico and export).

Renewal and development projects are being carried out in areas such as Marina Vallarta, El Centro and the Romantic Zone, as well as in Conchas Chinas.

His learning, contacts and trajectory in various industries led him to found his own firm in 1992: Martín-Sánchez Abogados SC, an office based in Tijuana that gave him the opportunity to work on several important projects throughout the country, including a wind energy project in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. There he served as a consultant to the Asociación Eólica de México (Wind Association of Mexico), a group that promoted this type of clean energy nationwide. “As its lawyer, we managed structuring all the property, rental of the land and all the usufruct so that other foreign companies could be established without problems. It was a project of great importance at a national level,” he explains.

Pioneer in wind projects in Mexico, he achieved the legal structure for the future developments in the region.

In 2010 he joined forces with Mauricio León de la Barra, a Mexican lawyer he met during his participation in the Trump Ocean Resort Baja Mexico project, which was to be developed in Tijuana. After riding out the real estate crisis, which in the end would cause this project to collapse, they founded Martín-Sánchez & León de la Barra LLP, a firm based in Los Angeles that focuses on representing cross-border customers in real estate and business operations.

Author of the book Mexican Labor Law: A Guide for American Companies that Do Business in Mexico, before moving to Puerto Vallarta in 2017, Martín-Sánchez had already been coming to our destination to serve some clients and supervise some projects.

“During the 30 years I had been coming to the destination, I realized the wave of growth that was coming. Now, renewal and development projects are being carried out in areas such as Marina Vallarta, El Centro and the Romantic Zone, as well as in Conchas Chinas. Autor del libro Derecho Laboral Mexicano: Una Guía para las Empresas Americanas que Hacen Negocios en México, antes de mudarse a Puerto Vallarta en 2017 para radicar de manera permanente, Martín-Sánchez ya venía a nuestro destino para atender clientes aislados y supervisar algunos proyectos. “Durante los 30 años que tenía viniendo al destino, me di cuenta de la ola de crecimiento que se avecinaba.
