Jesús Guerrero, ¿Cuál es la historia del inicio de RAMONA?

Jesús Guerrero, what is the story behind the beginning of RAMONA?

Omar y yo, fundadores de la banda, nos conocimos en una batalla de bandas cuando teníamos apenas 15 y 13 años. Ambos compartimos la pasión por crear música original, así que decidimos unir fuerzas. La química fue inmediata, comenzamos a componer juntos y así dio inicio nuestra emocionante historia musical.

Omar and I, the band founders, met in a battle of the bands when we were just 15 and 13 years old. We both shared a passion for creating original music, so we decided to join forces. The chemistry was immediate, we started composing together and thus began our exciting musical story.

Your new album “Los Himnos del amor” illustrates different stages of a love relationship. What inspired you to explore this theme in your music?

Es una historia de amor musical, influenciada por la forma en que la gente consume música en la actualidad. Decidimos crear un playlist diverso que incluye rock, pop, psicodelia y hasta cumbia.

It’s a musical love story, influenced by the way people consume music today. We decided to create a diverse playlist that includes rock, pop, psychedelia and even cumbia.

Recientemente lanzaron la canción “No te vayas” en colaboración con Ximena Sariñana. ¿Cómo surgió esta emocionante colaboración?

You recently released the song “No te vayas” in collaboration with Ximena Sariñana, how did this exciting collaboration come about?

Contacté a Ximena a las 3 de la mañana por Instagram, a pesar de los consejos en contra. Al día siguiente, respondió positivamente y le gustó mucho la canción.

I contacted Ximena at 3 a.m. on Instagram, despite advice to the contrary. The next day, she responded positively and really liked the song.

¿Qué experiencias pueden compartir sobre trabajar con Ximena Sariñana en esta canción?

What experiences can you share about working with Ximena Sariñana on this song?

Ella añadió un toque nostálgico a la canción y grabó voces adicionales que me encantaron, completando el toque perfecto.

I contacted Ximena at 3 a.m. on Instagram, despite advice to the contrary. The next day, she responded positively and really liked the song.

Alejandro Jimenez, su esposo, grabó nuestro primer EP, Karla nos escuchó, le gustamos y no dudo en apoyarnos, incluso me compró un vuelo para irme a la ciudad de méxico y grabar en su casa. Nosotros estamos muy agradecidos de su apoyo.

La mejor forma de iniciar tu viaje rumbo a Estados Unidos es ¡Teniendo tu I-94 vigente! Pero, ¿qué es exactamente el Formulario I-94? Bueno, déjenme compartirles mi propia aventura reciente cuando me dirigí a Phoenix, Arizona. Resulta que me encontré en la situación peculiar de no tener este permiso en regla para cruzar la frontera hacia Estados Unidos. Pero como siempre, ¡la vida nos da lecciones y aventuras! Así que me puse manos a la obra e investigué qué era esta misteriosa I-94, y transformé mi travesía fronteriza en una experiencia rápida y sin complicaciones. ¡Aquí les dejo mis divertidos y útiles consejos para que tú también te conviertas en un experto en la materia!

The best way to start your trip to the United States is by having your I-94 in hand! But what exactly is the Form I-94? Well, let me share with you my own recent adventure when I headed to Phoenix, Arizona. It turns out that I found myself in the peculiar situation of not having this permit in order to cross the border into the United States. But as always, life gives us lessons and adventures! So I got to work and researched what this mysterious I-94 was, and transformed my border crossing into a quick and hassle-free experience. Here are my fun and useful tips for you to become an expert on the subject too!

¿Para qué sirve el I-94?

What is the I-94 for?

El I-94 es tu “¡Hola!” y “¡Adiós!” Además, puede ser útil para algunos trámites de inmigración, por eso es tan importante que, al obtenerlo, revises la fecha de vencimiento y lo entregues al terminar tu último viaje dentro de la vigencia.

The I-94 is your “Hello!” and “Goodbye!”. Also, it can be useful for some immigration procedures, which is why it is so important that, when obtaining it, you check the expiration date and hand it in at the end of your last trip within the validity period.

Los Formularios I-94 son como los boletos de entrada y salida para tu viaje a Estados Unidos. Son como las pulseras que te entregan en un parque de atracciones para saber cuándo entraste y cuándo te vas. Todos los que llegan a EE. UU. con VISA necesitan obligatoriamente este formulario si se realiza un viaje más allá de Tucson Arizona (entrando por Nogales claro está).

I-94 Forms are like the entry and exit tickets for your trip to the United States. They are like the wristbands they give you at an amusement park so they know when you have entered and when you are leaving. This form is required for all VISA holders arriving in the U.S. if traveling beyond Tucson Arizona (entering through Nogales of course).

How to get it?

La forma más sencilla es descargando la aplicación “CBP One” en tu celular (disponible para Android y APP Store) a no más de 5 días previos a tu viaje, realizar el llenado de la información, esto será muy útil para el momento en el que te realicen la entrevista, ya que el agente al escanear tu VISA ya tendrá consigo la dirección que visitarás y el número de contacto, además te permite realizar el pago de la tarifa con tu tarjeta de débito o crédito y evitar la necesidad de llevar los $6.00 dólares exactos que te piden para realizar el pago. Literal, con el I-94 solicitado con anticipación hará la entrevista con el agente más sencilla, solo le tendrás que decir el motivo de tu viaje y ¡listo!

The easiest way is to download the “CBP One” application on your cell phone (available for Android and Apple) no more than 5 days prior to your trip and fill out the information, this will be very useful for the time when you are interviewed, since the agent will scan your VISA and will have the address you will visit and the contact number, also allows you to pay the fee with your debit or credit card and avoid the need to carry the exact $6.00 dollars that you are asked to make the payment. Literally, having the I-94 requested in advance will make the interview with the agent easier and you will only have to tell him/her the reason for your trip and that’s it!

TUFESA? / Next trip to the U.S. with TUFESA?

Si es así, es muy importante saber que, si tu viaje es cruzando la frontera por Nogales, los horarios de cruce son de 06:00 a 22:00 horas por Mariposa. Si tu viaje es de 22:00 a 06:00 horas, la pasada será por Deconcini o Banderas, y deberás llevar contigo el permiso o bien la I-94, ya que no se puede tramitar en ese momento. Si compras tu boleto vía app o sitio web, revisa las escalas de tu viaje para conocer el horario de cruce antes de realizar el pago o bien, adquiere la garantía de flexibilidad por si necesitas cambiar tu horario de viaje por falta de permiso. / If so, it is very important to know that, if your trip is crossing the border through Nogales, the crossing hours are from 06:00 to 22:00 hours through Mariposa. If your trip is from 22:00 to 06:00 hours, the crossing will be through Deconcini or Banderas, you will need to bring your permit or I-94 with you, because it cannot be processed at that moment. If you buy your ticket via app or website, check the stopovers of your trip to know the crossing schedule before making the payment, or you can purchase the flexibility guarantee in case you need to change your travel schedule in case you don’t have your permit.

Por otro lado, si tu viaje a Estados Unidos es desde Tijuana, debes saber que todos los pasajeros deben contar con su permiso previo al viaje ya que no hay posibilidad de solicitar el permiso con migración. / On the other hand, if your trip to the United States is from Tijuana, you should know that all passengers must have a permit prior to the trip since there is no possibility of requesting the permit with immigration.

Cuando compres tus boletos de viaje con TUFESA, ya sea por app o portal web, siempre te informan que es necesario presentarse en sucursal 30 minutos antes de tu partida para registrar tu VISA pero, ¿sabías que si eres un viajero con boleto en mano, puedes dirigirte directamente a la ventanilla 1 para completar este proceso de registro? Así aseguras que tu viaje se realice sin problemas al cruzar la frontera. / When you buy your travel tickets with TUFESA, either by app or website, they always inform you that it is necessary to go to the branch 30 minutes before your departure to register your VISA, but did you know that if you are a traveler with ticket in hand, you can go directly to window 1 to complete this registration process? Arrancamos este “Yujujui Tour” en Monterrey y la CDMX con sold out en tres fechas, estamos muy contentos del recibimiento de los personajes y prometemos pasar un día increíble en cada ciudad donde los niños podrán tener la oportunidad de cantar, bailar, brincar y divertirse con este nuevo show.

We kicked off this “Yujujui Tour” in Monterrey and CDMX with three sold out dates, we are very happy with the welcome of the characters and we promise to spend an incredible day in every city where children will have the opportunity to sing, dance, jump and have fun with this new show.

¿Cómo “Bely” se volvió la niña más responsable en su grupo de amigos? / How did “Bely” become the most responsible child in her group of friends?

Siempre se portan mal a donde vamos (risas) pero es parte de la naturaleza de los niños, los niños son inquietos, son niños que exploran, que tocan, que tienen curiosidad de ver y descubrir por naturaleza, pero para eso estoy yo para dar un buen ejemplo, una buena enseñanza o moraleja a todos los niños.

They always misbehave wherever we go (laughs) but it is part of children’s nature, they are restless, they explore, touch and are curious to see and discover by nature, but that is why I am here to give a good example, a good teaching or moral to all children.

¿Cómo surgió la idea de crear “Bely y Beto”? / How did the idea of creating “Bely y Beto” come about?

La creación de “Bely y Beto” surgió de la necesidad de un programa infantil en Monterrey. Inicié con “Con Bely”, un espacio matutino que motivaba a los niños a tener hábitos saludables. En el programa, una voz misteriosa, me refiero a Beto, molestaba a los niños, a los invitados y a mí. Más tarde, cobró vida en una obra de teatro tras hacer un concurso de dibujo. Yo era como su niñera, él era el travieso y yo quien lo corrige. Pero luego las necesidades de las historias fueron requiriendo que Beto tuviera un amigo, ese amigo fue un niño que tenía su gemela, Miguelito y Miguelita, la siguiente fue Kelly, a quien Beto conoció por internet, ella vivía en Estados Unidos pero se mudó con sus papás acá a Monterrey. Beto tuvo a su hermano Pepo, obviamente tienen a sus papás pero ellos trabajan mucho por eso los cuido. Perrón llega porque ellos necesitaban una mascota, llegó el conejo Mala Pata, que es un villano no tan villano. A Tiburcio el tiburón lo conocimos en Tampico. Así fueron integrándose los chiquillos poco a poco.

The creation of “Bely y Beto” arose from the need for a children’s show in Monterrey. I started with “Con Bely”, a morning show that motivated children to have healthy habits. In the show, a mysterious voice, I mean Beto, bothered the children, the guests and me. Later, he came to life in a theater play after doing a drawing contest. I was like his nanny, he was naughty and I was the one who corrected him. Upon researching, before finishing high school I decided to focus on preschool education instead of elementary school.

Enfrentarte a todas las innovaciones y poder llevarlas a la práctica, la relación con los alumnos y con sus papás, poder generar confianza. Los niños vienen muy despiertos y hay que enseñarle los nuevos cambios del modelo educativo. / Facing all the innovations and being able to put them into practice, the relationship with the students and their parents, being able to generate trust. Fue por la referencia a la maestra de la película de “Matilda”, a todas las maestras de preescolar nos relacionan por ser tiernas y nos dan ese nombre de “maestra miel”. Quise darle mi propia identidad y recuerdo que a mi me gustaban mucho los hot cakes con miel de maple y fue gracias a ese desayuno que me decidí apodarme “Maestra Miel de Maple”.

It was because of the reference to the teacher in the movie “Matilda”, all preschool teachers are related to us for being tender and they give us the name “honey teacher”. I wanted to give it my own identity and I remember that I really liked maple syrup pancakes and it was thanks to that breakfast that I decided to nickname myself “Maestra Miel de Maple”.

Somos una generación rara, rara hasta los huesos. Corríamos por las calles hasta entrada la noche, la alarma era el grito de nuestra madre y daba por terminado el juego. Una semana normal era de lunes a viernes ir a la escuela porque era la única responsabilidad y tu obligación.Pero teníamos la opción de que esto fuera en la mañana o en la tarde. En el vasto escenario de la vida, orgullosamente soy un conductor de autobuses TUFESA. Desde joven, soñé con deslizarme por las carreteras, con los distintos aires de cada ciudad acariciando mi rostro en mi llegada y el rugido del motor como música para mis oídos. Siempre supe que mi destino estaba marcado por el volante, y cada kilómetro que recorro, es un paso más hacia mis sueños cumplidos.

Como fundadores del género Rock Agropecuario. ¿Han influenciado o inspirado a nuevos artistas en este género musical? / As founders of the Rock Agropecuario genre, have you influenced or inspired new artists in this musical genre?

Pedro: “No que sepamos”. Hay varios dentro de la fusión, artistas que sacaron sus canciones, por ejemplo Los Madafakers, Simpson Ahuevo, Los vikingos del Norte y hay quienes hacen covers pero no canciones originales, lo consideramos otra órbita dentro de la industria.

Pedro: “Not that we know of”. There are several within the fusion, artists that released their songs, for example Los Madafakers, Simpson Ahuevo, Los Vikingos del Norte and there are those who do covers but not original songs, we consider that another orbit within the industry.

¿Pueden compartir cómo se gestó la composición y grabación de “Venimos del Desierto”? Además, ¿imaginaron el impacto que tendría en su carrera?

/ Can you share how the composition and recording of “Venimos del Desierto” came about? Also, did you imagine the impact it would have on your career?

Omar: El éxito no fue de un día al otro. Cuando teníamos el estudio de grabación en “El Infona”, yo me iba “a pata”, hacía un calorón y traía esa idea en la cabeza. La raza ni se imagina el calorón que hace aquí en Cajeme, cómo es que la gente hace su vida diaria con este rollo, cual es toda esa idiosincrasia. Recuerdo que un día estábamos en la CDMX, me desperté con la rola, me senté, la armé y quedó entre la maqueta del disco de “Fierro por la 300”. El tracking se hizo aquí en Ciudad Obregón, y pues nunca imaginamos el éxito que tendría, como estábamos en el rollo agropecuario no sabíamos si sacarla como sencillo porque esa canción no tiene ni banda ni norteño, estuvimos pensando mucho, de hecho Pedro insistió mucho que esta rola estaba buena.

Omar: The success didn’t happen overnight. When we had the recording studio in “El Infona”, I was walking, it was very hot and I had that idea in my head. You can’t even imagine how hot it is here in Cajeme, how people make their daily life with this kind of thing, what is all that idiosyncrasy. I remember one day we were in CDMX, I woke up with the song in mind, I sat down, I put it together and it was among the demo of the “Fierro por la 300” album. The tracking was made here in Ciudad Obregón, and we never imagined the success it would have, as we were in the agro music business we didn’t know if we should release it as a single because this song has neither banda nor norteño, we were thinking a lot, in fact Pedro insisted that this song was good.

¿Qué significa para ustedes ser “demasiado mexicano” y cómo han reflejado esta identidad en su música?/ What does it mean to you to be “too Mexican” and how have you reflected this identity in your music

Omar: Hay una campaña de auto desprestigio por sentirse menos por ser mexicanos cuando no debería ser así, ser mexicano es una cosa extraordinaria, llena de valor, reconocidos a nivel internacional, no te hagas menos, el mexicano es a prueba de todo terreno, deja de achicopalarte. / There is a campaign of self-deprecation and feeling like an underdog for being Mexican when it shouldn’t be like that, being Mexican is an extraordinary thing, full of value, internationally recognized, don’t make yourself less, a Mexican is all terrain proof, stop being sad about it.

Sobre su nueva gira, “Agrogodínez”. ¿Qué nos pueden adelantar?/About your new tour, “Agrogodinez”. What can you tell us about it?

Omar: “Agrogodínez” será como un día en la oficina, en esta gira estaremos contando una historia que se integra en el show con canciones nuevas y con temas que nos piden que toquemos en los conciertos. / “Agrogodinez” will be like a day at the office. On this tour we will be telling a story that is integrated into the show with new songs and some others that we are asked to play at the concerts.

¿Cómo describirían la diferencia de la experiencia entre tocar en el Vive Latino y el Tecate Pal Norte? How would you describe the difference in the experience between playing at Vive Latino and Tecate Pal Norte?

Pedro: Fueron muy caóticas las dos y ambas las disfrutamos. En el Pal Norte teníamos cuatro días viajando porque hicimos 3 fechas en Texas y llegamos el domingo con “el caballo cansado” para tocar temprano. Literal, dejamos las cosas y sobres al escenario. Comparándolo con el Vive Latino, hemos estado en dos ocasiones, en el 2016 y el 2022.

Cesar: En el Vive Latino estuvo bien divertido porque compartimos escenario con varios artistas como Rosso de Plastilina Mosh, con la Yoss Bones y con el Neto Peña, armamos palomazos y eso estuvo bien divertido. Pedro: Estuvimos en el escenario sorpresa por el que tenías que pasar para entrar al Vive Latino, yo pensaba que sería un público transeúnte que a lo mucho se quedaría media hora, pero al final se quedó bastante gente para escucharnos tocar.

Pedro: They were both very chaotic and we enjoyed them both. At the Pal Norte we had four days traveling because we did 3 dates in Texas and we arrived very tired on Sunday to play early. We literally dropped our stuff and went on stage. Comparing it to Vive Latino, we have been twice, in 2016 and 2022.

Cesar: At Vive Latino it was very fun because we shared the stage with several artists like Rosso from Plastilina Mosh, with Yoss Bones and with Neto Peña, we put together palomazos and that was so fun.

Pedro: We were on the surprise stage that you had to go through to get into Vive Latino. I thought it would be a transient audience that would stay for half an hour tops, but at the end there were lots of people there to listen to us play.

¿Qué proyectos futuros pueden adelantarnos y qué pueden esperar los fanáticos de Nunca Jamás en el futuro? / What future projects can you tell us about and what can Nunca Jamás fans expect in the future?

Omar: Que los carros vuelen.

Hyperloop

Sin embargo, a finales de 2023, se anunció el cierre del proyecto Hyperloop, poniendo fin a uno de los sueños más futuristas de Elon Musk. However, at the end of 2023, the Hyperloop project was announced to be closed, putting an end to one of Elon Musk’s most futuristic dreams. Despite this setback, the Hyperloop concept has inspired numerous companies and research teams around the world, who have dedicated efforts in building prototypes and test sections. These developments sought to understand and perfect the construction of safe and efficient supersonic transportation systems. De seguro has leído en internet que tu cantante favorito se retiraba de la música, que se divorció o afirmaciones mucho más graves que te sacaron un susto. Esto, es un sencillo ejemplo de una noticia falsa o como se le conoce actualmente por su significado en inglés “Fake News”. Este tipo de información ha existido desde hace muchos años, pero con el crecimiento masivo de las redes sociales, las Fake News han tomado gran parte del porcentaje del contenido que compartimos en internet.

Surely you have read on the internet that your favorite singer was retiring from music, that he or she got divorced or much more serious statements that scared you. This is a simple example of Fake News. This type of information has existed for many years, but with the massive growth of social media, it has taken a large percentage of the content we share on the internet.

La definición de una noticia falsa en medios digitales, se simplifica en la divulgación de información sin fuentes confiables que la respalden, de esta forma y con la actual viralización del contenido en Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok y más, se ha convertido en un gran problema con las últimas generaciones ya que estos medios digitales son su primera y muchas veces única fuente de información, de esta forma, la desinformación, se esparce en cuestión de segundos.

The definition of fake news in digital media, is simplified in the dissemination of information without reliable sources to back it up, and with the current viralization of content on Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok and more, it has become a big problem with the latest generations as social media is their first and sometimes only source of information, in this way, misinformation spreads in a matter of seconds.

Con la era digital y el intercambio de mensajes en redes sociales, los usuarios además de ser consumidores, se convierten en productores de información. Básicamente las redes sociales se transforman en un arma de doble filo, dónde gracias a los famosos “algoritmos” la información viaja filtrada hacia cada consumidor, dándoles el poder de hacer lo que más les plazca con ella.

With the digital era and the exchange of messages on social media, users are not only consumers, but also creators of information. Basically, social networks become a double-edged sword, where thanks to the famous “algorithms” information travels filtered to each consumer, giving them the power to do whatever they want with it.

Muchas de las noticias falsas se basan en intereses políticos, dónde los candidatos utilizan las redes sociales para manchar el nombre de sus contrincantes. Usualmente esta información se desmiente rápido, pero aun así logra perjudicar la percepción de miles de personas sobre el candidato afectado.

Many fake news are based on political interests, where candidates use social media to smear the name of their opponents. Usually this information is quickly disproved, but still manages to damage the perception of thousands of people about the affected candidate.

Existen sitios web que apoyan con la verificación de información, que analizan y certifican las noticias de personas públicas como políticos, artistas, empresarios y medios de comunicación. Sin embargo, no hay mejor forma de identificar las Fakes News, que utilizando el criterio propio; utilizar las redes sociales sin afán de dañar y realizar búsquedas personalizadas consultando los perfiles de cuentas verificadas y páginas de internet oficiales. / However, there is no better way to identify Fakes News, than using one’s own criteria; using social media without the desire to harm and performing personalized searches by consulting the profiles of verified accounts and official websites.

No brinquemos a conclusiones apresuradas al encontrar una foto o un artículo con un título muy amarillista, dónde es más que evidente que dicha publicación no cuenta con fuentes confiables que la respalden.

A final de cuentas es indispensable recordar constantemente que el porcentaje de veracidad en redes sociales es muy bajo, y no podemos creer todo lo que leemos en internet. Nos encontramos en la era digital, dónde es extremadamente sencillo publicar información, así que como consejo, antes de creer, investiga o espera, seguramente fuentes oficiales desmentiran esas Fake News.

Let’s not jump to hasty conclusions when we find a photo or an article with a yellowish title, where it is more than evident that such a publication does not have reliable sources to back it up.

At the end of the day, it is essential to constantly remember that the percentage of veracity in social networks is very low, and we can’t believe everything we read on the Internet.

Quieres que el calor de tu cuerpo disminuya para dejar de sudar, de empapar todo tu uniforme. Soplas sobre la palma de tu mano para verificar que no tienes calentura, un pretexto para irte. Pero el vaho es normal, así que todo son figuraciones tuyas. Mueven la mandíbula para desentumecerla. Toses varias veces. Sacas un dulce de miel de la casaca militar y lo introduces a la boca. Lo chupas para que el sabor suavice la garganta. El acceso de la tos amaina. ¿Y si le digo al general Barceló que mejor cancele todo, que no puedo hablar?, piensas mientras te frotas con vigor el cuello para destender el agarrotamiento de músculos. Pero sabes que no se cancelará el programa y si está dispuesto que estés ahí, así será.

TM: ¿Puede compartir con nosotros un poco sobre su infancia y algún recuerdo especial de su familia que haya influenciado su carrera? TM: Can you share with us a little about your childhood and any special memories of your family that have influenced your career?

Dr: Mi infancia como la de todos estuvo llena de aprendizaje, de maestros y de grandes recuerdos. Aprendí de mi abuelo el General Enrique León que firmó el plan de Agua Prieta, él fue autodidacta y me heredó el deseo del estudio y la lectura. Dr: My childhood like everyone's was full of learning, teachers and great memories. I learned from my grandfather, General Enrique Leon who signed the Agua Prieta plan, he was self-taught and he inherited from me the desire to study and read.

TM: ¿Cuándo descubrió su pasión por la medicina y qué lo inspiró a seguir este camino? TM: When did you discover your passion for medicine and what inspired you to follow this path?

Dr: During a home visit in Hermosillo, Sonora, I encountered a patient presenting with symptoms of heart failure, evidenced by the need for oxygen. During the physical examination, I noticed a scar on his neck, which led me to suspect the absence of the thyroid gland. I decided to administer an intravenous injection of calcium gluconate and, to my satisfaction, the patient began to show significant improvement. This episode reinforces the importance of carefully observing each patient and considering all possibilities to offer the most effective and appropriate treatment.

Dr: Fue mientras estudiaba la preparatoria cuando sentí un fuerte interés en el estudio de Anatomía y la Química orgánica e inorgánica así despertando el deseo por la medicina. Realicé mis estudios en la UNAM, fue en la época que viví en la ciudad de México en el periodo 1963-1968, en ese entonces recuerdo sufrir las calamidades de la economía y claro, la ausencia del tiempo para poder divertirme. Dr: It was while I was in high school when I felt a strong interest in the study of anatomy and organic and inorganic chemistry, thus awoking my desire for medicine. I studied at the UNAM during the period 1963-1968, when I lived in Mexico City. At that time I remember suffering the calamities of the economy and, of course, the lack of time to have fun.

TM: ¿Hay algún caso médico en su carrera que haya sido especialmente desafiante o memorable para usted? ¿Podría contarnos sobre ello?

TM: Is there any medical case in your career that has been especially challenging or memorable for you? Could you tell us about it?

Dr: Durante una visita a domicilio en Hermosillo, Sonora, me encontré con un paciente que presentaba síntomas de

TM: ¿Cuáles fueron los principales obstáculos que enfrentó al mudarse de México a Estados Unidos para ejercer la medicina? TM: What were the main obstacles you faced when you moved from Mexico to the United States to practice medicine?

Dr: En 1998, emprendimos el viaje hacia Estados Unidos. Recuerdo que los principales desafíos que enfrentamos al llegar fueron aprender el idioma inglés y adaptarnos a una nueva cultura. Fueron tiempos difíciles, llenos de incertidumbre y nostalgia por lo dejado atrás, pero nuestra juventud y un ardiente deseo de aprender nos impulsaron a superar esos obstáculos. Con el tiempo, fuimos capaces de sortear las dificultades y abrirnos paso en esta nueva tierra llena de oportunidades. Dr: In 1998, we started our trip to the United States. I remember that the main challenges we faced upon arrival were learning the English language and adapting to a new culture. It was a difficult time, full of uncertainty and homesickness for what was left behind, but our youth and a burning desire to learn pushed us to overcome those obstacles. Eventually, we were able to

overcome the difficulties and make our way in this new land full of opportunities.

TM: ¿Ha tenido que superar barreras idiomáticas o culturales en su práctica médica en Estados Unidos? ¿Cómo lo ha hecho? TM: Have you had to overcome language or cultural barriers in your medical practice in the United States? How have you done that?

Dr: En mi práctica médica, he enfrentado desafíos lingüísticos al tratar con pacientes de diversas nacionalidades, lo que a menudo nos llevó a un terreno común muy limitado. Recuerdo en particular el caso de una paciente, originaria de Palestina o Israel, cuya comunicación inicialmente se vio obstaculizada por la barrera del idioma. Sin embargo, abordé esta situación con profundo respeto y paciencia, evitando cuidadosamente cualquier tema político o cultural que pudiera resultar incómodo o desencadenar tensiones. En lugar de ello, me enfoqué en establecer un vínculo empático y centrado en el bienestar de la paciente, lo que permitió una comunicación efectiva y una atención médica de calidad. Dr: In my medical practice, I have faced language challenges in dealing with patients of various nationalities, which often led us to very limited common ground. I recall in particular the case of one patient, originally from Palestine or Israel, whose communication was initially hampered by the language barrier.

However, I approached this situation with deep respect and patience, carefully avoiding any political or cultural issues that might be uncomfortable or trigger tensions. Instead, I focused on establishing an empathetic bond centered on the patient's well-being, which led to effective communication and quality medical care.

TM: ¿Cómo ha contribuido a la comunidad médica estadounidense y qué actividades ha realizado en este sentido? TM: How have you contributed to the U.S. medical community and what activities have you done in this regard?

Dr: Contribuyo al crecimiento y desarrollo de las nuevas generaciones de médicos a través de mi participación activa en asociaciones como ALMA (Arizona Latin Medical Association). Además, proporciono apoyo económico mediante la entrega de becas estudiantiles. Comprendo la importancia de brindar oportunidades y recursos a los estudiantes de medicina, ya que sé que el camino hacia el éxito puede estar lleno de desafíos financieros. Dr: I contribute to the growth and development of new generations of physicians through my active participation in associations such as ALMA (Arizona Latin Medical Association). In addition, I provide financial support through student scholarships. I understand the importance of providing opportunities and resources to medical students, as I know that the road to success can be filled with financial challenges.

TM: ¿Qué mensaje le gustaría transmitir a la comunidad médica en México y a otros profesionales de la salud que estén considerando emigrar a Estados Unidos en busca de oportunidades profesionales? TM: What message would you like to share to the medical community in Mexico and to other health professionals who are considering migrating to the United States in search of career opportunities?

Dr: Quiero dirigirme a la comunidad médica de México que considera la posibilidad de emigrar a Estados Unidos. Les animo a que se preparen con ahínco académico y se enfoquen en completar una residencia médica de calidad. Este camino puede parecer desafiante, pero cada paso que den en su formación los acercará más a alcanzar sus metas profesionales. Recuerden que el esfuerzo y la dedicación son la clave para abrir nuevas puertas y aprovechar las oportunidades que se presenten en el camino hacia el éxito. Dr: I want to address the medical community in Mexico who are considering migrating to the United States. I encourage them to prepare hard academically and focus on completing a quality medical residency. This path may seem challenging, but every step you take in your education will bring you closer to achieving your career goals. Remember that effort and dedication are the key to opening new doors and taking advantage of opportunities along the road to success
