Cuéntenos sobre los inicios de Sueña Frida como banda. ¿Cómo se formaron y cómo decidieron el nombre de la banda? / Tell us about the beginnings of Sueña Frida as a band. How did you form and how did you decide on the name of the band?

German: Iniciamos el proyecto con canciones de Mike, que luego trabajamos juntos. Discutimos nuestras influencias musicales y coincidimos en crear una banda con géneros funky trap, pop y rock. Desarrollamos las primeras tres canciones y luego involucramos al resto de la banda.

German: We started the project with songs by Mike, which we then worked on together. We discussed our musical influences and agreed to create a band with funky trap, pop and rock genres. We developed the first three songs and then got the rest of the band involved.

Hablemos sobre su EP “Good Vibes Only”. ¿Qué los inspiró a crear este material y cómo fue el proceso de composición? / Let’s talk about your EP “Good Vibes Only”, what inspired you to create this material and what was the writing process like?

Mike: I La idea era crear canciones alegres y bailables para momentos felices entre amigos. La colaboración fue orgánica y decidimos lanzarlo el año pasado con ayuda de mi hermano en el diseño de la portada.

Mike: The idea was to create upbeat and danceable songs for happy moments between friends. The collaboration was organic and we decided to release it last year with help from my brother on the cover design.

¿Cómo funciona el proceso creativo dentro de la banda después de seleccionar un tema que se convertirá en un sencillo? / How does the creative process work within the band after selecting a song to become a single?

Julián: Como banda, participamos en la selección de canciones grabadas, votando por aquella que creemos nos representa mejor como sencillo.

Julián: As a band, we participate in the selection of recorded songs, voting for the one we think best represents us as a single.

"No conoces bien a alguien hasta que viajas con él" es una frase que cobra sentido en la carretera, mostrando aspectos de nuestra personalidad que solo emergen bajo la presión y la convivencia intensa. Aunque descubras que tus amigos pueden ser irritables con pocas horas de sueño, o que tú mismo te conviertes en un líder autoritario, estas experiencias fortalecen los lazos. Trips with friends always promise to be memorable, full of laughter and unforgettable anecdotes. However, they can also reveal unknown facets of our personalities, not always positive. “You don't know someone enough until you travel with them” is a phrase that takes on meaning on the road, revealing aspects of ourselves that only emerge under pressure and intense coexistence. Even if you find that your friends can be irritable on little sleep, or that you become an overbearing leader yourself, these experiences strengthen bonds

Al planear un viaje, la clave es la claridad desde el inicio. Seleccionar el destino, reservar alojamientos y acordar un itinerario debe ser un proceso inclusivo, considerando los intereses y necesidades de todos. Ya sea un viaje de despedida de soltero, un tour de festivales o simplemente unas vacaciones, es fundamental que todos los involucrados participen activamente en la planificación. When planning a trip, clarity from the start is key. Selecting the destination, booking accommodations and agreeing on an itinerary should be an inclusive process, considering everyone's interests and needs. Whether it's a bachelor party trip, a festival tour or simply a vacation, it's critical that everyone involved actively participates in the process of planning.

Una planificación detallada permite improvisaciones más significativas. A veces, los planes deben adaptarse a situaciones inesperadas, pero para modificar un plan, primero debe existir uno. Discover the colonial style of El Fuerte Sinaloa with TUFESA TRAVEL

Al mero noreste del estado de Sinaloa, se encuentra un pequeño pueblo llamado El Fuerte, que en el año 2009 fue declarado Pueblo Mágico. Este título se le otorga a ciertas localidades que cuentan con una gran historia, atractivos turísticos, leyendas, cotidianidad, tradiciones y costumbres que destacan entre otras. / At the very northeast of the state of Sinaloa, there is a small town called El Fuerte, which in 2009 was declared a Magic Town. This title is granted to certain towns that have a great history, tourist attractions, legends, daily life, traditions and customs that stand out among others.

Dentro del estado de Sinaloa podemos encontrar destinos maravillosos y únicos como Mazatlán, Culiacán, entre otras ciudades imperdibles. Sin embargo, El Fuerte destaca por ser un pueblo muy pequeño, pero lleno de magia y actividades al aire libre. / Within the state of Sinaloa we can find wonderful and unique destinations such as Mazatlan, Culiacan, among other unmissable cities. However, El Fuerte stands out for being a very small town, but full of magic and outdoor activities.

¿Qué puedes hacer en este Pueblo Mágico? What can you do in this Magic Town?

Si decides ir al Fuerte con tu familia, sin duda debes visitar el parque recreativo ‘La Galera’, un lugar único y conocido por todos sus locales. Es un gran atractivo turístico ya que desde ahí, puedes conocer el extenso Río Fuerte y cruzar un puente colgante de más de 140 metros para disfrutar de vistas y atardeceres increíbles. / If you decide to go to El Fuerte with your family, you should definitely visit the recreational park ‘La Galera’, a unique place known by all its locals. It is a great tourist attraction because from there, you can see the extensive ‘Rio Fuerte’ and cross a suspension bridge of more than 140 meters to enjoy incredible views and sunsets.

Al cruzar ese puente, te encontrarás con el ‘Cerro de la Máscara’, la zona arqueológica más rica en petroglifos en Sinaloa. Puedes planear una caminata para descubrir los vestigios dejados por grupos étnicos que habitaron la región hace muchos años. También al llegar a la cúspide del cerro podrás tener una vista panorámica llena de naturaleza y vida. / Crossing that bridge, you will find the ‘Cerro de la Máscara’, the richest archaeological site in Sinaloa in terms of petroglyphs. You can plan

a hike to discover the vestiges left by ethnic groups that inhabited the region many years ago. Also when you reach the top of the hill, you will enjoy a panoramic view full of nature and life.

También si lo que buscas es buena comida, en La Galera encontrarás muchos puestos, de botanas, mariscos, nieves y bebidas para todo tipo de gustos. / Also if you are looking for good food, at La Galera you will find many cool stands, snacks, seafood, ice cream and drinks for all tastes.

El centro histórico es muy especial ya que cuenta con un estilo colonial en todos sus rincones y puedes recorrerlo a pie mientras disfrutas de una icónica agua de cebada ‘Pura Vida’. En tu visita no olvides caminar por la plaza de armas, conocer el palacio municipal, y sobre todo subir el maravilloso Museo Mirador, dónde podrás ver todo el pueblo desde las alturas. / Visiting downtown is very special, it has a colonial style in all its corners and you can walk through it while enjoying an iconic barley water ‘Pura Vida’. During your visit, don’t forget to walk around the main square, visit the City Hall, and above all climb the wonderful Mirador Museum, where you can see the whole town from the heights.

El Fuerte también es un destino ideal para jóvenes que buscan la fiesta, ya que al ser un pueblo pequeño, se llevan a cabo celebraciones a lo grande. Principalmente las fechas patrias son los días dónde las calles se llenan de turistas y locales, disfrutando de la banda frente al palacio municipal y bailando hasta casi el amanecer. De igual forma la fiesta de año nuevo convoca a personas de todo el país y el pueblo se convierte en una gran fiesta para todos los que lo visiten. / El Fuerte is also an ideal destination for young people looking for a good party, since being a small town, people celebrate big time. Mainly the patriotic holidays are the days where the streets are filled with tourists and locals, enjoying the ‘banda’ in front of the City Hall and dancing until almost dawn. ¡Una delicia! El Fuerte Sinaloa al estar tan en contacto con el agua, contando con un río tan largo y distintas presas, los mariscos frescos son clave para la gastronomía del lugar. Callos de lobina, cauque de agua dulce, camarones, entre otros. También destaca por sus sabrosos antojitos mexicanos y desayunos tradicionales. Al final del día, en dónde te pares a comer, saldrás satisfecho y feliz. / A delight! El Fuerte Sinaloa being so in contact with the water, having such a long river and different dams, fresh seafood is key to the cuisine of the place. Si optas por hotel, busca el paquete completo, que incluya buffet al final te ahorras una buena suma o elegir una casa de alquiler para tener mejor ubicación, haces una pequeña despensa y hasta puedes lavar tu ropa. ¿Qué te llevó a elegir el boxeo como carrera y cuándo decidiste que querías convertirte en boxeadora profesional? / What led you to choose boxing as a career and when did you decide you wanted to become a professional boxer?

Mi primer contacto con el boxeo surgió a los 13 años cuando acompañé a mi hermano menor al gimnasio para darle valor, ya que sufría acoso escolar. Pensé que sería solo por ese día, pero el entrenador notó algo especial en mí y convenció a mi mamá para que me dejara entrenar. Poco después, justo cuando empezaba a disfrutar del deporte, nuestro entrenador sufrió un derrame cerebral. Participé en combates para apoyarlo, lo que me permitió descubrir mi amor por la adrenalina y la competencia. Desde ese momento, supe que el boxeo era lo mío.

My first contact with boxing came at the age of 13 when I accompanied my younger brother to the gym to support him, as he was being bullied at school. I thought it would be just for that day, but the coach noticed something special about me and convinced my mom to let me train. Soon after, just as I was beginning to enjoy the sport, our coach suffered a stroke. I participated in matches to support him, which allowed me to discover my love for adrenaline and competition. From that moment on, I knew boxing was my thing.

Describe tu debut profesional y lo que significó para ti noquear a tu oponente en el tercer asalto. / Describe your professional debut and what it meant to you to knock out your opponent in the third round. Antes temía lastimar a mis oponentes; golpeaba y esperaba a que se recuperaran. Mi entrenador y mi madre siempre me urgían a ser más agresiva. No fue hasta entrenar en Ciudad Obregón que empecé a ser contundente. En mi debut, noqueé a mi rival con convicción y finalmente disfruté mi victoria. / I used to fear hurting my opponents; I would punch and wait for them to recover. My trainer and my mother always urged me to be more aggressive. It wasn’t until training in Ciudad Obregon that I started to be forceful. In my debut, I knocked out my opponent with conviction and finally enjoyed my victory.

Háblanos sobre tu preparación para una pelea. ¿Cómo balanceas el entrenamiento físico, mental y técnico? / Tell us about your preparation for a fight, how do you balance physical, mental and technical training?

Compaginar el boxeo con mi trabajo de entrenadora y las clases universitarias es un desafío constante de gestión del tiempo. Durante las vacaciones, me dedico completamente al boxeo. No obstante, es más complicado de lo que parece; cada peleador enfrenta batallas internas. En mi último pesaje, alcanzar los 54 kilogramos fue una lucha contra el estrés y la ansiedad, pero todo es parte del reto./ Combining boxing with my coaching job and university classes is a constant time management challenge. During vacations, I dedicate myself completely to boxing. However, it is more complicated than it seems; every fighter faces internal battles. At my last weigh-in, reaching 54 kilograms was a struggle with stress and anxiety, but it’s all part of the challenge.

Has mencionado el apoyo de tu familia y amigos. ¿Cómo ha influido este apoyo en tu carrera? / You mentioned the support of your family and friends. How has this support influenced your career?

Vivo en Ciudad Obregón, lejos de mi familia en Agua Prieta, pero estoy agradecida porque todos en mi entorno apoyan mi lucha diaria. Desde el compañero que me da raite hasta mis vecinos y colegas en la escuela, todos están atentos y me ayudan a seguir adelante. / I live in Ciudad Obregon, far from my family in Agua Prieta, but I am grateful because everyone around me supports my daily struggle. From the friend who gives me a ride to my neighbors and colleagues at school, everyone is caring and they help me keep going.

Con tu formación en psicología, ¿qué importancia le das a la salud mental en el deporte, especialmente en el boxeo? / With your background in psychology, what importance do you give to mental health in sports, especially in boxing?

La salud mental es tan crucial como la física. Un simple dolor de cabeza puede detenerte, imagina lo que hace la salud mental. Prioricé el boxeo sobre todo porque es mi sueño. Cuando vi que afectaba mi rendimiento, supe que necesitaba reevaluar mi vida para entender qué estaba mal. / Mental health is just as crucial as physical health. A simple headache can stop you, imagine what mental health does. I prioritized boxing mostly because it’s my dream. When I realized it was affecting my performance, I knew I needed to reevaluate my life to understand what was wrong.

Es muy difícil, son demasiados los sacrificios, enfócate en ti mismo, no en los factores externos que no podemos controlar, enfócate en lo que puedas lograr aceptando tu realidad y haz algo para cambiarlo, el resultado siempre valdrá la pena. / It is very difficult, there are too many sacrifices, focus on yourself, not on external factors that we can’t control, focus on what you can achieve by accepting your reality and do something to change it, the result will always be worth it.

En el transcurso de su carrera, ¿ha habido algún caso particularmente desafiante que lo haya marcado? ¿Cómo lo abordó?/ Over the course of your career, have there been any particularly challenging cases that have marked you? How did you approach them?

En el tratamiento de adicciones, muchas veces la adicción surge como una defensa para sobrevivir a un evento emocional complejo. La sintomatología es fácil de identificar, pero la verdadera complejidad radica en el modelo integral donde involucramos a las familias para sanar los vínculos, lo cual es desafiante pero también muy gratificante. / In addiction treatment, many times addiction arises as a defense to survive a complex emotional event. The symptomatology is easy to identify, but the real complexity lies in the comprehensive model where we involve families to heal the bonds, which is challenging but also very rewarding.

De todos los obstáculos que enfrenta en su labor, ¿cuáles considera que son los más difíciles de superar y cómo los maneja?/ Of all the obstacles you face in your work, which do you consider to be the most difficult to overcome and how do you handle them?

El impulso natural por rescatar a alguien cuando se muestra vulnerable o está experimentando dolor profundo es uno de los mayores desafíos. A veces, mi instinto de consolarlo brota, pero comprendo que intervenir no es lo que realmente promueve la sanación. Aprendo a manejar esto recordando que el proceso de sanación implica aprender a través del dolor y que no debo interferir en ese proceso. / The natural impulse to rescue someone when they are vulnerable or experiencing deep pain is one of the biggest challenges. Sometimes, my instinct to comfort them wells up, but I understand that intervening is not what really helps. I learn to manage this by remembering that the healing process involves learning through pain and that I should not interfere with that process.

¿Cuáles considera que son los mayores éxitos de su carrera y qué impacto han tenido en su comunidad?/ What do you consider to be the greatest successes of your career and what impact have they had on your community?

Ver a los jóvenes recuperando sus vidas, aprendiendo a vivir sin necesidad de la muleta de la adicción, es un logro significativo. En cuatro años, hemos ayudado a 30 personas, 25 de ellas han mantenido la abstinencia. / Seeing young people getting their lives back on track, learning to live without needing the crutch of addiction, is a significant accomplishment. In four years, we have helped 30 people, 25 of whom have maintained abstinence.

Dentro de las historias de éxito, ¿hay alguna que le resulte especialmente emotiva o inspiradora que pueda compartir con nosotros? /

Within the success stories, is there one that you find particularly moving or inspiring that you can share with us?

Tenemos una paciente que llegó inicialmente como huésped, sin necesidad de tratamiento, pero que luego atravesó eventos difíciles como la pérdida de una relación y quedarse sin hogar. A pesar de estos desafíos, logró recuperarse con nuestro apoyo constante durante casi un año. Es un caso de éxito que destaca por su perseverancia y determinación. / We have a patient who initially came in as a guest, with no need for treatment, but then went through difficult events such as losing a relationship and becoming homeless. Despite these challenges, she managed to recover with our constant support for almost a year. She is a success story that stands out for her perseverance and determination.

En un campo tan exigente como el de la rehabilitación de adicciones, ¿cómo mantiene su motivación y energía día a día?/ In such a demanding field as addiction rehabilitation, how do you maintain your motivation and energy on a daily basis?

Mi motivación proviene de mi comprensión espiritual y del amor genuino que trasciende las dificultades humanas. Mantengo un cuidado físico y emocional riguroso, incluyendo ejercicio y una dieta balanceada. Practicar el desapego emocional para no absorber los sentimientos de mis pacientes, recordando que cada uno debe caminar su propio camino hacia la sanación. / My motivation comes from my spiritual understanding and genuine love that transcends human difficulties. I maintain rigorous physical and emotional care, including exercise and a balanced diet. I practice emotional detachment so as not to absorb my patients’ feelings, remembering that each must walk his or her own path to healing.

Con el conocimiento y la experiencia que ha acumulado, ¿qué consejo le daría a alguien que está comenzando su carrera en la psiquiatría y el tratamiento de adicciones? / With the knowledge and experience you have accumulated, what advice would you give to someone just starting their career in psychiatry and addiction treatment?

El mejor consejo que puedo ofrecer es entender que los pacientes no son desafíos a superar, sino personas que necesitan cuidado. Evitar dañarlos más y brindar un apoyo compasivo en su proceso de recuperación. / The best advice I can offer is to understand that patients are not challenges to overcome, but people who need care. Avoid harming them further and provide compassionate support in their recovery process.

Mirando hacia el futuro,

¿qué cambios o innovaciones espera ver o implementar en su propio centro de rehabilitación?/ Looking ahead, what changes or innovations do you hope to see or implement at your own rehab center?

Buscamos consolidarnos como un modelo educativo certificado donde profesionales de la salud y la psicología puedan formarse. Estamos desarrollando un programa validado por la SEP que no solo eduque a los pacientes, sino también forme a los profesionales de la salud. / We seek to consolidate our position as a certified educational model where health and psychology professionals can be trained. We are developing a program validated by the SEP that not only educates patients, but also trains health professionals.

Finalmente, ¿qué mensaje le gustaría enviar a aquellos que están luchando con adicciones en este momento y a sus familias que buscan la mejor forma de apoyarlos?/ Finally, what message would you like to send to those who are struggling with addictions right now and to their families who are looking for the best way to support them?

La adicción es una enfermedad compleja y profunda, no una cuestión de moralidad o comportamiento. No se culpen por ello; pedir ayuda no es señal de debilidad. El ser humano ha sobrevivido a lo largo de la historia trabajando juntos y apoyándose mutuamente. Superemos el estigma y trabajemos juntos hacia la sanación y el bienestar. / Addiction is a complex and profound disease, not a matter of morality or behavior. Don’t beat yourselves up about it; asking for help is not a sign of weakness. Humans have survived throughout history by working together and supporting each other. Let’s overcome the stigma and

¿Cómo surgió la idea de crear Cine Chacal? / How did the idea of creating Cine Chacal come about?

En 2017, fundamos Cine Chacal tras iniciar como agencia creativa. Luego de producir publicidad y videos musicales en Guadalajara, decidimos aventurarnos en el cine. Mi hermano, Diego Barragán, rescató un guión para un cortometraje llamado “No vayas a clases mañana”, que transformamos en nuestro primer largometraje. Con esto, surgió la marca Cine Chacal, con el propósito de ofrecer una visión distinta en el cine mexicano y brindar oportunidades a talentos locales.

In 2017, we founded Cine Chacal after starting as a creative agency. After producing advertising and music videos in Guadalajara, we decided to venture into film. My brother, Diego Barragan, rescued a script for a short film called “No vayas a clase mañana”, which we transformed into our first feature film. With this, the Cine Chacal brand was born, with the purpose of offering a different vision in Mexican cinema and providing opportunities for local talent.

¿Cómo fue la post producción de “No vayas a clase mañana”? / How was the post production of “No vayas a clase mañana”?

Fue una etapa que disfrutamos mucho, nosotros hicimos la música y el diseño sonoro en un estudio que se llama “Semillero”, teníamos la música de una banda llamada “Laboratorios Moreno”, una banda de Guadalajara que dio una parte indispensable para la película. / It was a time that we enjoyed very much, we did the music and sound design in a studio called “Semillero”, we had “Laboratorios Moreno” music, a band from Guadalajara that played an indispensable part in the film.

¿Cuál fue la respuesta de la crítica tras estrenar la película en los festivales? / What was the critical response after the film’s premiere at festivals?

Sabíamos que el tema sería controversial pero queríamos destacar la historia de amistad. La crítica se enfocó en la dificultad del tema, obviando otros aspectos. Aunque buscábamos estrenar en México, el Festival de Cine de Austin fue el primero en apoyarnos, generando nuevas oportunidades.

We knew that the subject would be controversial, but we wanted to highlight the story of friendship. The critics focused on the difficulty of the subject, ignoring other aspects. Although we were looking to premiere in Mexico, the Austin Film Festival was the first to support us, generating us new opportunities.

¿En qué proyectos están trabajando actualmente? / What projects are you currently working on?

Estamos preparando nuestra próxima película “Jardines del Bosque”, un tributo a la colonia de mis abuelos, co-dirigida por mi hermano Diego y yo. Se centra en tres niños que recuerdan un verano en particular. Además, lanzamos el podcast “Cine Más Perro” y estamos colaborando en varios proyectos futuros. / We knew that the subject would be controversial, but we wanted to highlight the story of friendship. The critics focused on the difficulty of the subject, ignoring other aspects. Although we were looking to premiere in Mexico, the Austin Film Festival was the first to support us, generating us new opportunities.

¿Qué consejos le darías a los jóvenes interesados en el séptimo arte tras bambalinas? / What advice would you give to young people interested in the seventh art behind the scenes?

Arriésgate; sin lanzarte nunca descubrirás tu potencial. Haz cortos con tu celular, construye proyectos alcanzables con tus recursos y busca personas afines. Crea, experimenta y rodéate de quienes comparten tus intereses. / Take a risk; without taking the plunge, you’ll never discover your potential. Make short films with your cell phone, build reachable projects with your resources and look for like-minded people. Create, experiment and surround yourself with people who share your interests.
