Benevilla hosts senior care, placement workshop BY GLENDALE STAR STAFF Benevilla’s education event series continues at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, with a free, online workshop titled “Home is Where the Heart Is and Where to Turn When Home is No Longer an Option.” It features local expert presenters Julie Huebner from Home Instead Senior Care and Rita McBride from A Better Solution Senior Placement. When living alone at home is no longer an option due to dementia or physical challenges, finding support for your

loved one can seem an impossible task. What are the in-home care services available to older adults to maintain a purposeful life no matter where they call home? What living options are available if home is no longer an option? What services do senior placement agencies offer? How much does it cost? Is a group home the right fit? What is the difference between assisted and independent living facilities? These are just a few of the questions faced when living at home independently is no longer possible.
