ROTARY ROUNDUP FOR JULY 2013 June was changeover time for outgoing President Rosie Burridge and incoming President Richard Wallace. It’s a fresh start with a new committee for the Rotary Year 2014 and new projects are already percolating in the background. Two important occasions in June, were the unveiling of the new Wanaka sign at the junction of Cardrona Valley Rd and Studholme Rd and the Luggate Cart Memorial to John Reid. It is great to see these two projects nearing completion.
IN THE PIPELINE: High Vis Vests for Primary School Students were distributed at Wanaka Primary on Thursday,1st August. Another Rotary initiative, working for the Community. CT Scanner Opening – 10 August 2013, 2.30pm at Dunstan Hospital. This is the culmination of a lot of hard work by community organisations joining forces in fund raising.
