Pinc & Steel Cancer Rehab Fun-Walk/Run

Aspiring Rotary are fundraising to allow local people funded access to cancer rehabilitation.

Pinot and Picasso – An entertaining evening awaits!

Overview

Aspiring Village is looking for a skilled individual to join our maintenance team. This role is ideal for a qualified builder or handy-man seeking a new environment. The position involves hands-on work as well as managing various trades. Aspiring Care is a purpose-built building within our retirement village and it offers 32 hospital care rooms and a 20 room special care unit.

The successful candidate will be a key team player, reporting to the Facilities Manager but working closely with Aspiring Care General Manager and the wider village staff team and resident community. This is a part-time 2 – 3 days per week role and we offer some flexibility with working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct hands-on maintenance work.

• Manage and coordinate various trades.

• Communicate effectively with team members and external contractors.

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail.

• Engage with the utmost sensitivity to our high-needs residents and contribute to a supportive community environment.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of building maintenance and mechanical aptitude

• Trade background would be advantageous

• Organisational skills and the ability to work independently

• Some computer skills - eg. email, using an on-line maintenance programme
