Buy a Lions Christmas Cake for your family, friends or staff, and you are not only giving a delicious, traditional cake, you are also supporting Lions who pass the profits to a charitable cause. It’s not long until Christmas and Wanaka Upper Clutha Lions really want to make a difference to those in need. Lions Christmas cakes were first sold in 1971, 50 cakes were sold by a Lions Club in New Plymouth. With every dollar going to charity, about $120,000 is donated from sales in New Zealand each year with millions of dollars being raised over the years. The cakes are made from a traditional, exclusive recipe using the finest ingredients.
