MUSTANGS

The Star:

Desmond Claude will run the show this year for the talented Mustangs. Standing at 6-foot-5, Claude (247 Comp. 96) is big for the point guard position, but uses it to his favor. Playing with Expressions Elite (MA) on the EYBL circuit geared him up for this high school season, and he put up some numbers; the senior averaged 15.3 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.3 rebounds in six EYBL games. Claude’s fast style-of-play will benefit the Mustangs this season, and he should have the keys to the car. With his tenacity and great decision making, Claude will be a major addition to Putnam Science Academy.

Mouhamed Dioubate is a stretch forward that had himself a stock rising summer. Holding offers from many low-major to mid-major schools, Dioubate (247 Comp. 78) can help the Mustangs drastically with interior scoring and rebounding. Josh Rivera will also help with those two categories, and the 6-foot-7 wing is t remendous when running the floor. Being more of a slasher, Rivera (247 Comp. 195) does not need the ball in his hands to be successful. With these two larger wings, Putnam Science Academy can stretch the floor and make it difficult for defenders to match up with them.
