THE STAR: panthers

Senior guard Bryce Lindsay and junior guards Jahnathan Lamothe and Carlton Carrington will create one of the best trios on the east coast. Lindsay (247 3-star) is a 6-foot-3 guard capable of filling it up, evidenced by his 12-game averages of 9.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists while starting for Team Melo in the EYBL. Lamothe (247 No. 46) operates as the highest-ranked recruit on the squad, and the 6-foot-4 combo guard should be in store for a terrific junior season after starring for highly-ranked Team Durant on the 16U EYBL circuit. Carrington (247 No. 115) is also a highly-regarded prospect, fresh off a dominant 16U spring and summer for Team Melo. Also standing at 6-foot-4, Carrington impressed at the MADE Hoops HS Academy East Camp, proving himself to be every bit worthy of the high-major offers he’s been getting.
THE SKINNY:

The Panthers went 11-1 during the COVID-impacted 2020-21 season, with the high school group playing several games beforehand as a club team. The Panthers lost 2024 No. 1 ranked prospect Derik Queen to Montverde Academy. A name to lookout for is Cortez Johnson. The 6-foot-7 junior wing is coming off a standout spring and summer with Team Thrill, and should add elite athleticism and versatility to Myles’ rotation. Also look out for sophomore guard Daquan Davis, who should provide a major spark off the bench. The roster is a tad young, but if the past is any indication of the future, Myles’ squad should still find plenty of success in 2021-22.
