THE STAR:

Committed to HC Porter Moser and Oklahoma, Otega Oweh had the most stock-rising summer out of any prospect in America. Oweh helped Team Final (PA) capture a Peach Jam Championship, averaging 12.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.7 steals over their 15-game run. With his speed and jumping abilities, Oweh is easily one of the most explosive players in the country. Oweh is a pest when it comes to defense, picking up opponents 94-feet and making ball-handlers uncomfortable. Going into his second season with Blair Academy, Oweh will be the leader and responsible for a good amount of the team’s offense.

A newcomer to Blair Academy’s squad is 2023 4-star prospect Jayden Lemond. Lemond is a very talented combo guard who will most likely play on-the-ball for this year’s Buccaneer squad. Standing at 6-foot-4, Lemond has very long arms that help him impact the game on both ends of the floor. Lemond can go on scoring tears, but on this team, he will operate as more of a facilitator. His offensive skill-set allows him to score at all three levels, and he pairs great ball handling abilities with a smooth jump shot from three. Blair also features Lual Manyang, a 6-foot-11 senior who will be the paint-stopper for the Buccaneers. Manyang (247 Comp. 262) is oozing with potential, and he should play big minutes for head coach Joe Mantegna.
