Gabe Cupps

Centerville went 26 and three in the 2020 2021 season, finishing a perfect 10-0 in league play while claiming the OHSAA D1 Championship. Head coach Brooke cups returns a veteran light lead in rotation headlined by his son Gabe cups, top 100 recruit in the 2023 class, Florida State commit Tom House and Drexel pledge Rich Rolf. The three combined averaged nearly 50 points per game last season, and all three have the chance to improve their averages across the board in 2021-22.

Cupps (247 No. 88) is coming off a very strong spring and summer for Midwest Basketball Club, and he was named in underclassmen all American from the circuit to validate his consistent performance. A 6-foot-2 marksman from the perimeter, Cupps is the leader of a group that should have some of the best team chemistry in the country. The junior averaged 15.2 and 5.0 assists per game en route to last season’s state title, and that experience should go a long way in leading the 2021-22 version of the Elks.

THE STAR:

THE SLEEPER:

House (247 Comp. 281) and Rolf will be integral pieces to Centerville’s sustained success, and both players bring completely different skill-sets to the table. House was the Elks’ leading scorer from a year ago at a hair over 17 points per game, and just like Cupps, he is a sniper from the perimeter. The future Seminole will be a threat to score 20 every night, and he’s a big reason why the Elks are one of the best public basketball teams in the country.
