THE STAR:

Arterio Morris leads the Kimball Knights into the 2021-22 high school season, returning for his senior year after briefly announcing a transfer. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Morris (247 No. 22) is a 5-star recruit by every national recruiting outlet, and he’ll be looking to close his career with a state title run. Morris is coming off a strong spring and summer season with the Dallas Showtyme Gorillas in the UA Rise Circuit, averaging 13.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.9 steals while shooting 46.6% from the floor. Morris closed his grassroots career out in style, scoring over 20 in all five of Showtyme’s games at The Circuit Championship.

Chauncey Gibson will be crucial to the Knights’ season-long success, and the 6-foot-6 guard should be ready for his impending role. The 3-star prospect recently committed to Clemson, cementing his status as one of the top seniors in the state of Texas. Gibson and Morris complement each other very well, and if they stay healthy, they will operate as one of the top 1-2 backcourt duos in the country.
