THE STAR

Coming off a GHSA Class AAAAA state championship, Wheeler returns their star player, 2023 5-star prospect Isaiah Collier. Collier, ranked 15th in the 2023 class by ESPN, is one of the most electrifying guards not only in the state of Georgia, but in the country. In his sophomore season, Collier averaged 14.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 8.0 assists, and 3.0 steals per game, proving to be a complete player on both sides of the ball. Collier has a smooth style-of-play, and it’s difficult to stop him once he gets in scoring mode. Coming into his junior season, Collier will look to lead the Wildcats to another state championship.

5-star Klairus Amir - one of the top-rated prospects from the 2024 class - will be a huge asset for Wheeler coming into this season. Amir will have a much bigger role in his sophomore season. Standing at 6-foot-7, Amir (ESPN No. 16) can play either forward spot and figures to have a big role in the frontcourt. 2022 Radford commit Kyle Burns will start alongside Collier, and the 6-foot-3 guard should operate as one of the most underrated players in the state. With other underclassmen set to step up and mature their game, Wheeler has the chance to earn a berth at GEICO Nationals.
