One of the ways in which we can offer that differentiation is with our new MemoryTouch® Hybrid Copper Collection,” said Rodney Goodrum of Therapedic Colorado.

This three-bed collection, featuring cushion firm, plush smooth top, and plush pillow-top options, was designed to take advantage of commonly accepted health benefits of copper and differentiate Therapedic from other bedding manufacturers with the use of NatuVerex copper fabric on the top panel.

According to Fine Cotton Company, the manufacturer of the top tick, the copper benefits from the panel fabric can transfer through bedding and to the skin of the sleeper, where it can be absorbed. Copper ions transmit via moisture and all fabrics have some level of moisture, which provides the needed pathway for the copper ions to pass through bedding layers.

The opening model, Alloy, targets a hot retail price point of $799 for Queen size mattress. This bed is built with 2" of copperinfused memory foam in the top layer for a cushion firm feel with support and pressure point relief features of memory foam.

The second model, Fusion, adds another 2" of a latex enhanced foam, also infused with copper to create a plush feel and a 14" total profile. The Fusion targets a $999 Queen mattress retail price point.

NatuVerex™ Copper fabrics are made using a patented yarn that is treated in a continuous immersion process which coats the yarn evenly and thoroughly with copper fragments that become embedded in the polyester. Its strength factor is superior to other copper yarns; yet it has a soft feel, unlike other copper yarns that tend to feel rough and scratchy. Additionally, it has been tested through 25 home launderings with NO loss of efficacy and is made with a minimum 30% of the patented copper yarn, which research has shown is the needed amount of copper to positively influence the health of the sleeper.

NatuVerex Copper fabric is also unique in that it’s the ONLY white-colored copper yarn, whereas all others are brown-colored.

This gives the collection a crisp, clean aesthetic featuring a white and gray color scheme with copper-colored thread accents.

The top of the line model, Synthesis, is built to hit $1199 – $1299 Queen mattress retail price points. This bed has a unique feel as the top panel was quilted with 1.5" of copper-infused memory quilt foam, on top of 2" of copper-infused 3lb memory foam, on top of 2" of Regenerist BioCrystal memory foam, for a total of 5 ½" of specialty memory foams in the top comfort layers.

All three beds feature the Leggett & Platt 789 Quantum Edge pocket coil spring unit for edge-to-edge support, are adjustable base friendly and have the ability to be roll-packed.

The collection can be expanded into both lower and higher price points depending on what is needed in the marketplace.
