tyle isn’t just about what you wear – it’s how you live, how you carry yourself, and how you express who you are. Here in Jupiter, we know that style can be found in a breezy waterfront lunch, a thoughtfully designed living space, or the quiet confidence of a well-loved paddleboard gliding toward sunset. This month’s Style Issue celebrates the many ways our community defines and embraces it.

You’ll find inspiration in the season’s best looks from local boutiques – pieces chosen for their ability to mix, match, and move with your life. From elevated everyday wear to statement silhouettes, our curated “Shop the Style” spreads prove that small-town shopping can be big on impact. You’ll also meet the experts who help us design homes that reflect who we are, from casual coastal retreats to bold, modern statements.

Style extends well beyond the closet. We explore how your living space can tell your story, how paddleboard fashion can take you from water to dinner, and how wellness might just be the most timeless accessory of all. Our contributors dive into everything from confidence in personal style to blending indoor and outdoor spaces with grace and ease. And, as always, we keep it local – celebrating the people, businesses, and events that make Jupiter’s style uniquely ours. Because here, style isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about living authentically, savoring what feels good, and finding beauty in the everyday moments.

So whether you’re stepping out in your favorite outfit, reimagining your home, or simply showing up in a way that feels true to you, remember: Style starts from within – and Jupiter wears it well.

Having Confidence in Your Style

In a world obsessed with trends, algorithms, and curated perfection, confidence in your personal style is the ultimate form of rebellion and self-love. Owning your own unique brand of fashion can reflect how people perceive themselves and how they wish to be perceived. It can also positively impact self-esteem, identity, and emotional well-being. When you feel good in what you wear, it can trigger a positive feedback loop – you stand taller, make better eye contact, and engage more confidently. This can often lead to more positive social interactions.

Style is also a form of self-expression. Choosing clothes that align with your personality and values can help reinforce your sense of identity, which can reduce internal conflict and increase feelings of authenticity. Confidence in your style isn’t about chasing trends or external approval but rather making choices that feel right for you. This autonomy supports a stronger internal locus of control, which is associated with higher psychological resilience. Your personal style is an extension of your personality, your experiences, your story. Building confidence in it starts with tuning out the noise and tuning into yourself. Confidence is like a muscle, the more you use it, the stronger it gets.

Ask yourself:

• What do I actually feel good in?

• What pieces bring me joy, even if they’re not trending?

• What colors, textures, or styles make me feel like me?

A word of caution—social media is a great place for inspiration, but it can also become a comparison trap. Personal style isn’t about copying someone else. It’s about taking inspiration and making it yours. Curate your feed with voices and images that empower you, not make you question yourself. Be sure to give yourself the freedom to evolve. You’re not locked into one aesthetic forever. Just like you grow and change as a person, your style will too. That doesn’t mean you’ve lost your identity—it means that you’re expanding it. When you embrace what you love, wear it unapologetically, and walk with confidence, something magical happens. People start to see you, not just your outfit, and that’s the real power of personal style – it’s not just about what you wear, but how it makes you feel because the most stylish thing you can ever wear is confidence.

From Customer to Entrepreneur: How One Mom Transformed Kids’ Resale shopping

Francesca Brown and her husband, Dave, opened Kid to Kid in Palm Beach Gardens in 2022. The kids' resale store offers gently used clothing, as well as other merchandise, such as toys, books, stollers, and other staples for kids.

What began as a pleasant memory of a personal shopping experience has blossomed into a thriving business for Francesca Brown.

Now, at 53, Brown owns the only Kid to Kid franchise in the area, transforming the resale of children’s clothes into a community-driven retail experience. She has 12 employees at the 3,900-square-foot store in Palm Beach Gardens that opened in August 2022.

“I just really like the sustainability model of upcycling, and I was also a customer of the store when my children were little (in North Carolina),” she said. “So I thought there was a little bit of a need here in South Florida.”

Brown says the store deals in volume.

“Clothes and shoes, clothes and shoes," she said. Those are the exact items young children burn through as they move up in sizes – as parents can attest – in mere months, if not weeks or days.

But Kid to Kid is not just about clothing. “We do books, toys, hard goods, like strollers, wagons,” Brown said. There are also new items, like socks, because – let’s

face it – nobody wants used socks.

Brown’s journey began unexpectedly in one of those fever-dream conversations spouses had during the COVID-19 lockdown. “We're like, ‘Well, wouldn't it be interesting to try and start a business? And you know, see how this works here in South Florida.’”

Her husband, Dave, was all in when it came to getting Kid to Kid off the ground.

I like it a lot,” he said. “It's fun, it's exciting. It’s different every day. I like working with people and dealing with customers and helping them out.”

David Brown said he always thought of South Florida before the family moved there from North Carolina as a place to vacation or retire.

The Browns said their motivation goes beyond profit.

“There's such a focus on fast fashion and the huge carbon footprint that it leaves. So this provides a way for perfectly good goods to be used again,” she said.

Of course, the idea of any secondhand clothing store is to save customers money and Brown said she is well aware of her clientele.

Brown and her husband, Dave, own the local Kid to Kid. She says the store has become a community meeting spot. 'I love it when parents meet up with each other and they're excited to see each other in the store,' she says.

“It also provides an opportunity for families,” she said. “Typically, when you have young children, you're at the starting point of your career, and so your salaries aren't as high as they're going to be in the future. So it provides a value shopping location to buy children's items that you might not be able to afford at a mall."

Kid to Kid purchases inventory from the public for cash.

Customers can, if they choose, get 20% more for their turned-in item if they convert it to store credit. The store just added digital payouts as well.

Brown has nothing but good things to say about Kid to Kid. “They invest very heavily in the support system for the franchisees, as well as the proprietary software system,” she said.

And their efforts haven't gone unnoticed. “We were just awarded store of the month this past June,” she said.

When asked what she has gotten the most out of Kid to Kid, Brown said it is the relationships with other moms. She has four children, ages 29, 25, 16 and 10.

“We've had women come into our store where they've been given like really bad news about their pregnancy, and they came into our space because our staff knows who they are,” Brown said.

“Maybe they didn't feel like they had a friend to talk to, but they can come into our store, and we know who our customers are, so we have a relationship with them, and we watch their children grow.”

As a result, the store has become a community hub,

Brown said.

"Thrifting is also very like in right now. So it's become like a community meeting spot. I love it when parents meet up with each other and they're excited to see each other in the store,” she said.

Frequent customer Christina D'Amore thought her days of baby clothes and tiny shoes were behind her when she ran into Francesca and Dave as they were getting ready for their grand opening. She unloaded boxes of children’s clothes – and then found out she was pregnant with her fourth child.

“So I have been one of their greatest customers,” D’Amore said.

D’Amore said if her family has an event to go to, she will check with Kid to Kid before hitting Macy’s or Nordstrom's. “Because I know it's in good condition. I know it's stain-free. It's going to be like new, but at a secondhand price,” D’Amore said.

And the best part. When she is done with it, D’Amore said she can bring it back to Kid to Kid so the next family can use it.

With ambitious goals, Brown is working towards making Kid to Kid a million-dollar operation. “We're benchmarking our way towards that this year,” she said.

Her parting reflection reveals the heart of her store: "It's not just a business transaction. It's really become like a community place for our staff and myself to connect with other people that live here locally.”

A Veteran’s Mission to Redefine Healing for Warriors and First Responders

Anthony Longo recognized a critical gap in the way mental health and reintegration services were being delivered to veterans and first responders. Having experienced firsthand the limitations of the "one-size-fits-all" model, he was determined to create something better, tailored to the unique needs of those who serve on the front lines.

Longo served multiple combat deployments in Fallujah, Iraq, as an infantry communications specialist. His commitment to protecting others extended beyond the battlefield, leading him to serve as a tactical medic for the State Department, where he conducted diplomatic security operations in Afghanistan. For his heroic actions during an insurgent attack on a U.S. compound, resulting in a mass casualty incident, he was awarded the Department of State’s Medal of Heroism.

In 2016, Longo founded the Warriors Choice Foundation to provide customized, holistic wellness programs for transitioning military combat veterans and first responders. The foundation also introduced the highly regarded Focused Cognitive K9 Rehabilitation Program, a revolutionary initiative grounded in Longo’s passion and expertise in canine training. He spent years immersing himself in the field, traveling worldwide to study under top trainers.

To date, the foundation has placed more than 46 highly trained service dogs with veterans and first responders, including elite units such as Navy SEALs, MARSOC, PJs, and Green Berets. These dogs are more than companions; they are therapeutic partners trained to support neurocognitive regulation, proprioception, and emotional grounding. In 2024, Warriors Choice made history by delivering the first service K9 to the U.S. Space Force.

service animals. The organization has hosted over 35 therapeutic retreats, supported veterans in obtaining supplemental benefits, and partnered with medical professionals offering innovative, non-traditional treatments. Their offerings include: comprehensive phlebotomy-based testing (including Lyme disease, heavy metals, tumor markers, metabolic indices, and cardiac panels); chelation therapy, stem cell treatments, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation (EBOO).

The foundation also collaborates with educational institutions and supports capstone students pursuing careers in veteran-focused healthcare.

“We created Warriors Choice Foundation to eliminate the guesswork, red tape, and impersonal care that so many face when seeking help,” said Longo. “We chose to act with intention—because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. Those who have served deserve more than survival. They deserve purpose, support, and

the ability to choose their own path forward.”

Longo sees the foundation not just as a resource, but as a movement:

“We exist for those who have sacrificed their peace for the safety of others and now seek a life where healing is possible. Most people live in a world that allows them to turn a blind eye to what veterans and first responders have endured. We stand in that gap, offering light where others see only silence.”

Driving a High-Value Luxury Car? Some Key Insurance Considerations

Driving a high-value car, whether a luxury, exotic, or classic vehicle, demands specialized insurance beyond standard policies. Here are the essential considerations:

Agreed Value Coverage: This ensures you receive a pre-determined amount if your car is totaled or stolen, protecting against depreciation, especially for vehicles that may appreciate in value.

Higher Liability Limits: With increased financial exposure, consider at least $1 million in liability coverage. An umbrella policy can further protect your assets by providing additional coverage beyond your auto insurance limits.

Comprehensive and Collision Coverage: Given the high repair costs for luxury cars, both coverages are essential. Comprehensive insurance protects against non-collision incidents, while collision coverage addresses damages from accidents.

Specialized Repair Options: Ensure repairers use

genuine manufacturer parts and access specialty repair networks for high-value vehicles.

Additional Considerations: Look into gap insurance, rental reimbursement, roadside assistance, and coverage for track days if applicable. Secure garaging and maintaining a clean driving record are also important.

High Net Worth Insurance: This policy type offers higher coverage limits and integrates luxury car insurance with protection for other valuable assets.

Safeguarding your high-value car requires tailored coverage. Consult an experienced insurance broker to create a policy that meets your unique needs and protects your investment.

Style at Home: How Your Design Choices Define Your Living Space

Custom homes, like this one in Admirals Cove, reflect the owners' sense of style and use of space.

In a town where ocean breezes roll in like clockwork and evenings are best spent under string lights with friends, home is more than a backdrop - it’s a reflection of who you are. Your home tells a story long before a single word is spoken. Whether you’re drawn to casual coastal comfort, modern minimalism, or a curated mix of old and new, your personal style shapes the way you live - and the way you design.

Some call it taste. Others call it lifestyle. But in truth, it’s a little bit of both.

Sofa to Statement: Where Lifestyle Meets Layout

Design doesn’t begin with color swatches or catalog pages - it starts with how you live. Do you love to entertain? Your space might feature a wide-open kitchen that flows effortlessly into the dining and living areas, perfect for hosting everything from Sunday brunches to sunset wine nights. Prefer quiet mornings with coffee and a book? That’s where a cozy reading nook or window seat comes in - a corner designed just for you.

Even the arrangement of furniture can transform how a home feels. Grouping chairs and sofas around a central point, like a fireplace or coffee table, invites conver-

sation and connection. Meanwhile, more open layouts with room to roam often reflect a more casual, flexible way of living. And sometimes, the most powerful design move is what you don’t place - leaving intentional space for movement, light, and breath.

Your home doesn't need to be large or lavish to speak volumes. It just needs to be yours.

Custom Homes: A Blueprint for Personal

Style

More and more homeowners are taking that idea to the next level - designing homes completely around their lives. Custom builds are no longer just about choosing counter tops and cabinet colors; they’re about creating a living environment tailored to daily routines and long-term goals.

Imagine walking through your front door and having a discreet built-in cubby system that keeps backpacks, surfboards, or pet leashes out of sight but always within reach. Picture a kitchen with dual prep stations, a hidden pantry, and enough counter space for a chef - but designed with the aesthetic warmth of a family gathering place. Or a bathroom that doesn’t just offer luxury but quiet - complete with a steam shower, integrated sound system, and lighting that adjusts with your mood.

Photos by Carri Lager

real estate

Some families are integrating offices that convert into guest rooms, media centers that double as quiet study areas, or laundry rooms that are actually enjoyable to be in (yes, it’s possible). The custom home movement isn’t just about status - it’s about soul. It’s about designing a space that meets your needs now and grows with you.

Design for Real Life - Jupiter Style

What makes Jupiter’s design style unique is that it's grounded in a sense of livable luxury. Residents here want spaces that feel elevated but never fussy - homes that invite barefoot mornings, spontaneous gatherings, and pets lounging on the furniture.

It’s common to see homes that seamlessly blend indoors and outdoors: wide sliding doors that open completely to the backyard, outdoor kitchens that rival their indoor counterparts, or plunge pools surrounded by native plants and breezy lounging areas. These are homes built for morning swims, afternoon naps, and evenings around a fire pit with neighbors.

Inside, the textures do the talking - linen sofas, raw wood beams, natural stone, woven baskets. The palette often echoes the landscape: sandy neutrals, driftwood grays, crisp whites, and ocean-inspired blues. It’s relaxed, effortless, and quietly elegant.

Even small spaces are getting thoughtful attention. A mudroom outfitted with built-in storage and family photo walls. A kid’s room with clever storage solutions that evolve as they grow. A quiet corner turned into a morning meditation spot. No square foot is wasted when design reflects real life.

Style doesn’t mean sacrificing function - especially for families. Designers are now incorporating lifestyle features that make everyday life easier and more beautiful. Built-in dog washes, feeding stations that blend into cabinetry, low-sill windows so pups can enjoy the view - pets have never had it so good.

Kid-friendly doesn't mean cluttered, either. Stylish toy storage, multifunctional playrooms, and smart space planning let families embrace design without letting the house get overrun. And more than anything, these touches turn a house into a home.

Your Home, Your Style

Ultimately, the most beautiful homes aren’t the ones that follow trends - they’re the ones that feel true to the people who live in them. Whether you’re working with an architect to build from the ground up or slowly layering meaning into a longtime space, let your lifestyle guide the decisions. Ask: How do I want to feel when I walk in the door? What matters most to me every day? What makes this space mine?

Because when your home aligns with your life, style isn’t just seen - it’s felt.

Jupiter: A Coastal Canvas of Architectural Styles

Communities like Admirals Cove include many Mediterrranean Revival and Spanish Colonial-style homes.

Jupiter is known for its pristine beaches, laid-back charm, and luxury lifestyle – but its real estate is just as captivating as its coastline. From timeless “Old Florida” cottages to gleaming modern estates, Jupiter’s neighborhoods read like an architectural gallery where history, climate, and luxury converge.

Mediterranean and Spanish Revival Elegance

One of the most recognizable styles in Jupiter is the Mediterranean Revival, often paired with Spanish Colonial influences. Think red-tile roofs, white or pastel stucco facades, wrought-iron balconies, and arched windows. These homes, found in communities like Admirals Cove and The Bear's Club, capture the romance of the Mediterranean while offering breezy, open layouts.

Old Florida and Coastal Cottage Charm

For those who prefer a slower pace and nostalgic charm, “Old Florida”-style homes still dot the landscape. Influenced by the classic Florida Cracker architecture, these properties often feature broad, wrap-around porches, raised foundations, and pastel colors that echo the hues of the sea. While some remain as lovingly preserved vintage cottages, others have been reimagined with modern interiors while keeping their historic soul.

Waterfront Modernism

Jupiter’s prime waterfront lots have given rise to a new wave of contemporary architecture. These residences showcase clean lines, glass walls, and seamless indoor-outdoor transitions. Private docks, infinity pools, and rooftop terraces are common, marrying sleek design with

the boating lifestyle. Communities along the Intracoastal Waterway and Jupiter Inlet are especially known for these striking, modern builds.

Golf Estate Grandeur

Jupiter is home to world-class golf communities like Trump National Golf Club and The Bear's Club, where custom estates take center stage. Styles vary – from Tuscan-inspired mansions with stone facades and grand archways to neoclassical estates with symmetrical lines and formal gardens. Inside, expect soaring ceilings, gourmet kitchens, wine cellars, and entertainment wings.

New Urbanism and Sustainable Design

In neighborhoods like Abacoa, the focus is on walkability, community spaces, and energy efficiency. Here, Key West-inspired townhomes sit alongside Mediterranean-style condos, and green building practices are becoming more common. Smart-home technology, solar panels, and eco-friendly landscaping reflect Jupiter’s growing commitment to sustainable living.

A Town of Timeless Variety

What makes Jupiter’s real estate market so compelling is the diversity. There’s a style here to match every vision of Florida living. The architecture is more than just homes – it’s a reflection of a vibrant coastal lifestyle.

Meet up at Waxin’s (Palm Beach Gardens) and order the Girl’s Night Special — a $15 bargain for an espresso martini, a Caesar salad and truffle fries.

Couples on the Town

Take in the popular Happy Hour at Lynora’s (Tequesta), where a meatball is always a good idea — but it’s a special on Mondays, along with martinis.

Flavor South Florida Returns with Prix Fixe

Menus at More Than 100 Restaurants

September is the last month of “off Season,” with the deepest dip in tourism, traditionally. For locals, there are great deals to be had in area restaurants.

Beyond individual summer menus and special pricing, there’s the Flavor South Florida restaurant month.

The coastal white kitchen trend is finding its way beyond Jupiter. White kitchens are the epitome of timeless style. Crisp, clean, and endlessly versatile, it serves as the perfect canvas for any design vision. Whether your taste leans modern and minimal or warm and traditional, a white palette adapts effortlessly, allowing textures, finishes, and personal touches to shine. The brightness of white enhances natural light, creating an airy, open feel that instantly elevates a home’s atmosphere.

If you’re drawn to rustic charm, reclaimed or distressed wood adds texture and character reminiscent of seaside cottages. These mixed hardwoods are not only full of personality but also eco-friendly, making them a sustainable choice for design-conscious homeowners.

When it comes to hardwood flooring, light, natural finishes are an excellent option. Woods like hickory, birch, or even bamboo maintain a fresh and open vibe, especially when paired with soft blues, sandy neutrals, and wide planks that evoke a boardwalkstyle look.

Dark and dramatic floors in deep espresso hues add sophistication and contrast to bright decor, and parquet patterns introduce intricate geometric designs that elevate formal rooms with vintage flair.

To complete your look, pair flooring with rattan furniture, linen textiles, and blue accents. Keep window treatments minimal to let in natural light, and consider incorporating nautical or botanical elements for subtle coastal flair.

Designing Runs in the Family: Young Interior Designer Carves Her Path

For 26-year-old Alexis Cox, interior design wasn't just a career choice – it was practically her destiny.

"My mom's an interior designer, my dad's a graphic designer, and my brother's a fashion designer,” Cox explained.

Cox has made her imprint on northern Palm Beach County and beond with LexInterior and is one of a group of young professional women in the interior design industry who have banded together to give each other support and advice.

Visit her website or Instagram (lexinterior.com, @lexinterior_), and Cox’s aesthetic becomes clear: coastal living.

“I would say clean lines. Take away the clutter, but still have accessories and still be able to tell a story throughout your house,” she said. And her expertise shines through. Ask her about how wallpaper has made a comeback and soon thoughts of redecorating one’s living room come on strong.

“I would say most of the wallpaper I do is either a grass cloth, textured, not a linen, but like a weave that a lot of coastal clients like to use here,” she said. “And then I would say another one is just anything with some sort of pattern. So that would be in replacement of art."

Even as a child, Cox showed early signs of her future profession. "There's even pictures of me with my mom and having color palettes out with her clients as, like, a 3-yearold,” she said.

Her unique childhood fascination extended beyond color swatches. When she visited other homes, "I had to go to their bathroom because I wanted to see what their bathroom looked like," she recalled.

Cox graduated from the University of Tennessee during the peak of COVID-19, a challenging time for emerging designers. "Right after

that, I didn't get any design job. Nobody was hiring,” she said.

Her career trajectory changed when she moved to Jupiter. After working with two designers whose styles didn't resonate with her, Cox's mother stepped in.

"She was just like, 'Just take some of my clients that I have down in

South Florida, and you can work with them,’” Cox said.

This family support became the foundation of LexInterior, her design business. "She just literally just passed on the clients to me. And then from that, I just got referral after referral from those clients,” she said.

She is ‘an excellent listener who doesn't push her own ideas but instead provides thoughtful choices. ’
- Tracey Meehan, client

Cox's design philosophy centers on "livable luxury."

"I feel so many designers here only do very, very high-end. I didn't grow up the wealthiest,” she said. “Money doesn't drive happiness for me. So I love just being able to create spaces for any type of client.”

Her approach is comprehensive. "No project is too small for me,” she said. “Since I'm so new, I have been lucky to get full, brand new, $3 million houses, and I've also done small apartments."

Currently, Cox is designing seven houses in the Avenir in Palm Beach Gardens, a few in Boca Raton and one in Palm City.

One happy client is Tracey Meehan, who wanted her Avenir home to have a different feel than her main residence in New England to “avoid a traditional Boston-style look, as she put it.”

She said Cox is “an excellent listener who doesn't push her own ideas but instead provides thoughtful choices.”

The designer helped Meehan and her husband create a coastal design for their Florida home by having her create a Pinterest board and carefully guiding their design choices.

Cox also has fans among her colleagues. In the competitive world of interior design, she has joined a powerful network of young female professionals under the age of 30 in the design industry.

"I feel like I really learned so much more from our little networking group, because we tell each other stories, and what we're dealing with

Cox in a kitchen that she designed. She credits her mother for giving her career a kick-start, while her father and brother contribute their expertise.

and what we could help with,” she said.

Family continues to play a crucial role in her business. "My brother does all my apparel and everything for the brand,” she said. “And then my dad does all the graphics, the website and everything. And then my mom helps me with interior design."

The COVID-19 pandemic unexpectedly boosted her industry, she

noted.

"People spent so much time in their homes that they realized all the things that they wanted to fix, or they're working from home now and they want to spruce it up a bit,” she said.

With a supportive family, a growing client base, and a passion for creating livable, personalized spaces, Alexis Cox is proving that for some, design truly is in the blood.

Paddle Up to Eat: Look Stylish On the Water, and Once You Come Ashore

Ed Sossi and Alex Cotleur (front) paddle their way to The Square

Paddling helps you feel grounded and confident. Whether you are out for fitness, fresh air, or a peaceful glide, your clothing should offer protection from the elements, allow ease of movement and reflect your personal flair. Fabrics that are light and dry quick are preferred over cotton. Jupiter weather is predictable; with a little planning you can feel on point at any time of the day.

Sunrise paddles are a perfect way to avoid the midday heat and immerse yourself in nature with fewer people and more wildlife. What you wear at this time of day can make or break the moment; this is prime time for no see-ums and mosquitoes. Dry-fit long sleeve shirts and lightweight pants or leggings, as well as a little bug spray go a long way. Bring a light for the dark start and a hat and sunglasses for that fiery sunrise glow. Once the sun heats up, you may suddenly find yourself wearing too many clothes. Shed the extra layers and store them in a dry bag, you will need all the same protection for sunset.

Summer is still scorching in September! It is common to spend more time in the water than on your board. Wide brim hats with fabric on the underside of the brim give the most sun protection.

on the water

Bring along a polyester/spandex dress or coverup to wear while enjoying your meal after a paddle. For men, a pair of hybrid shorts and a dry-fit collared shirt work well both on the water, and once you arrive at your destination.

Long sleeve, quick-dry SPF shirts help keep you cool and protect you from the sun. For the ultimate sun protection, opt for swimwear from Slip Ins, an online company offering long-sleeve full body bathing suits with Ultimate 50+ UPF sun protection blocking 98% of UVA and UVB rays. Their fabric patterns mimic sea life, putting the fun in functionality.

They say a walk after eating helps digestion, a paddle afterward does too. Paddling to local waterfront restaurants is as easy as arriving by boat or car. Pack or wear an above-the-knee length dress made of a polyester and spandex blend with four way stretch for ease of movement. Solid, light-colored dresses tend to show watermarks, I recommend dark colors or a print fabric. You can also just put on a coverup if it is early in the day and save the dress for happy hour or dinner. Men’s hybrid shorts look put together in or out of water; the fabric is wrinkle-free and the four-way stretch allows ease of movement. Pair it with a dry-fit collared shirt and no one will know you just paddled there until they see you paddle away.

In Jupiter, paddle fashion is laid-back, not sloppy. It is a style that is relaxed yet put together, like a good

paddle route. So, pack your dry-fit layers, leave the cotton at home and you will be ready to embrace the elements in style – let’s paddle!

Change Your Hearing, Not Your Lifestyle

For many people, the idea of getting hearing aids is synonymous with making major changes to their lives. They might imagine bulky devices, frustrating adjustments, and giving up favorite activities. However, a new philosophy is changing this perspective: "Change your hearing, not your lifestyle."

This slogan is a powerful message for anyone experiencing hearing loss. It means that you don't have to sacrifice your social life, hobbies, or professional ambitions. Instead, modern technology allows you to improve your hearing so you can continue living the life you love.

The Evolution of Hearing Technology

Today's hearing aids are a far cry from the devices of the past. They are designed to be discreet, comfortable, and highly effective. Many are nearly invisible, sitting deep within the ear canal. Others are sleek and stylish, available in a variety of colors to match your personal taste.

More than just being small, these devices are incredibly smart. They use advanced digital processing to filter out background noise, making it easier to follow conversations in loud environments like restaurants or family gatherings. Many models also offer Bluetooth connec-

tivity, allowing you to stream phone calls, music, and podcasts directly to your hearing aids.

Reclaim Your Confidence and Connection

Untreated hearing loss can lead to social isolation and a loss of confidence. When you struggle to hear, you might start to avoid social situations, leading to feelings of loneliness and depression. By embracing the "change your hearing, not your lifestyle" approach, you can reclaim your place in the world.

Modern hearing aids empower you to participate fully in conversations, enjoy your favorite music, and feel connected to the people and world around you. This isn't about giving up who you are; it's about enhancing your ability to experience life to its fullest.

If you've been putting off addressing your hearing loss, now is the time to reconsider. Explore the latest in hearing technology and discover how you can change your hearing without changing the way you live.

Gym Style: More Than Just a Matching Set

Showing up to the gym isn't just about the workout. It's about the feeling that comes with walking through those doors, and yes, outfits matter, too.

Style and fitness have always gone hand in hand. These days, in a world so focused on wellbeing, what we wear while we move matters more than ever. It's not about vanity—it's about how energy, identity, and function all come together.

Take high socks, for example. They might remind you of the '80s, but they're back in style—and not just because they're cute. High socks save your shins during deadlifts, keep you from scraping up your legs with barbells, and add a little compression, too. And let's be real—they totally give off that "I know what I'm doing" vibe, even if I'm still a work in progress.

Matching sets? They're the new power suit! Whether I'm in leggings and a crop top or shorts and a loose tank, putting on a coordinated outfit shifts my mindset. It's not about impressing anyone else—it's about stepping into my own strength, on purpose. When I wear a matching set, all the way down to my shoes, it's my way of saying, "I showed up for myself today."

Shoes? Oh, don't get me started! You wouldn't wear ballet flats to hike a mountain, and the same goes for trying to cross-train in running shoes. The right footwear is about support, good form, and okay, maybe how they make your legs look in the mirror. (If you know, you know.)

But here's where function meets fashion: the fabric itself. When you're pushing through that last set or sweating through a HIIT session, moisture-wicking materials become your best friend. Cotton might feel cozy at home, but during an intense workout? It holds onto sweat like a sponge, leaving you feeling heavy and uncomfortable. Moisture-wicking fabrics pull that sweat away from your skin and help it evaporate, keeping you dry and focused on what matters—your performance.

Even without a boutique athleisure-wear clothing line in Jupiter (yet!), style still plays a role in how we move, connect, and build confidence. Fitness fashion isn't about chasing trends—it's about expressing who you are, protecting your body, and feeling your best while you work toward your goals. For example, Kristy Grant, the owner of Sporty Girl Apparel, which was formerly located near the A1A bridge but is now exclusively online, sells amazing leggings with aquatic-themed prints that work perfectly for both fishing and fitness. Find your own way to express yourself.

So next time you get ready to sweat, remember: your gym style is a form of self-care. That's the kind of strength I want to dress for—and I hope you do, too.

Stand Tall, Walk Confidently: How Chiropractic Massage Therapy Can Elevate Your Style Game

Imagine stepping into a room wearing that outfit that makes you feel unstoppable. Maybe it’s a sleek, tailored blazer or a dress that effortlessly flows with each step. Now, picture yourself not just wearing the clothes but truly owning them. Your posture is perfect, your movements smooth, and you feel like the best version of yourself. This is the magic of incorporating chiropractic care and massage therapy into your style routine.

The key to truly elevating your style is how you carry yourself. With chiropractic massage therapy, you can achieve a well-aligned spine and relaxed muscles that naturally enhance your posture.

Chiropractic adjustments focus on aligning your spine, improving your overall balance, and supporting optimal posture. Massage therapy works to release muscle tension, promote flexibility, and reduce stress, creating a harmonious body that moves with ease. When your muscles are relaxed, your movements become more fluid, and your posture naturally improves. This not only helps you stand taller but also makes you feel more comfortable and confident in whatever you’re wearing.

It’s not just about the clothes – it’s about how you wear them. Chiropractic massage therapy helps to eliminate discomfort caused by poor posture or muscle tightness, which can often interfere with your confidence and how you present yourself. When your spine is aligned and muscles are free of tension, you naturally move more gracefully and effortlessly, giving you that “best version of yourself” look, whether you’re in a business meeting, at a social event, or out for a casual night.

Think of it as a secret style hack that many fashion icons swear by without even mentioning it. Sure, the right outfit can make you look good, but the right alignment and muscle care make you feel incredible in that outfit. When your body feels at its best, that inner confidence becomes your most stylish accessory. And when you feel good, your style shines even brighter, creating a perfect blend of comfort, confidence, and elegance.

So, when you're thinking about elevating your personal style, don’t just focus on your wardrobe. Think about how chiropractic care and massage therapy can help you wear your clothes with more ease, grace, and confidence. Chiropractic massage therapy works by addressing the root causes of tension, stiffness, and poor posture, helping you move with fluidity and

feel comfortable in your body. This holistic approach enhances your overall well-being, allowing your natural confidence to radiate.

True style is about more than just what you wear –it’s about how you feel in your clothes. With the support of Marlin Chiropractic, you can take the first step towards a more aligned, relaxed, and confident version of yourself. So, stand tall, walk with ease, and let your best self shine through – because true style starts from within.

Dr. Marlin Meldonian, of Marlin Chiropractic, helps some of the world’s top bodybuilders, golfers, highly-active & ordinary individuals perform at their best.

Radiant from Within: The New Standard of Style Is Wellness

What if the most timeless style wasn’t found in a closet, but in how you care for yourself?

At Agape Healing Arts, we believe true style begins with vitality. While fashion trends may change with the seasons, a radiant glow, strong posture, clear eyes, and authentic joy never go out of style. In fact, wellness is the new luxury. And the most stylish people are often the ones who take the best care of their body, mind, and spirit.

September is Style Month, and while we love beautiful fabrics and personal expression, we invite you to go deeper. How do you feel in your skin? How do you nourish your glow? Wellness is not about perfection, it’s about honoring your body as your true home and choosing rituals that support your natural beauty and resilience.

From acupuncture facials to lymphatic sculpting, herbal teas to whole foods, we approach style as something holistic, embodied, and personal. Beauty is a byproduct of balance. When your nervous system is calm, your digestion is strong, your hormones are regulated, and your spirit is aligned, you shine.

We also celebrate individuality. There’s no one-sizefits-all beauty here. Whether you prefer bold lipstick or bare skin, flowy dresses or structured suits, your style becomes magnetic when it’s infused with self-love and

grounded energy.

This month, consider updating your wellness routine the way you might refresh your wardrobe. Maybe it’s time to clear out what no longer fits, an old habit, a toxic product, a stressful thought pattern, and bring in what truly supports you. Consider swapping synthetic skin care for botanical oils, fast food for nourishing meals, or late-night scrolling for restorative sleep. Health is always in style. Hydration, breathwork, movement, rest – these are the foundations of beauty and confidence. When you feel well, you radiate it. When you feel balanced, your posture lifts. When you feel joy, your face glows. That’s style.

At Agape, we help you feel as good as you look, and look as good as you feel. Whether through holistic facials, herbal medicine, acupuncture, or heartcentered care, our goal is simple: help you embody the beauty that’s already within you.

This September, choose wellness as your signature style. The world doesn’t need another trend. It needs you, vibrant, alive, and aligned.

Drs. Keith and Bella Cini, holistic physicians and owners of Agape Healing Arts, offer personalized integrative care focused on your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Revolutionizing Rehab: High-Tech Golf Simulator Helps Injured Golfers Get Back in the Game Safely

HSS Florida physical therapist Maria Alejandra Fumero uses a high-tech golf simulator with patients eager to get back to the sport after an injury or surgery. Here, she is working with patient Bernardo Suarez.

Golf enthusiasts recovering from an injury or surgery are often eager to get back to the sport. At HSS Florida’s West Palm Beach Rehabilitation and Performance Center, many patients are returning to the game sooner than anticipated thanks to a state-of-the-art golf simulator, transforming the rehab experience.

HSS Florida, part of New York’s renowned Hospital for Special Surgery, acquired the same simulator used at the Manhattan location. The objective information it provides is a valuable supplement to the doctor’s recommendations and the rehab program developed by a physical therapist or exercise physiologist, says Spencer Summers, MD, a hip and knee surgeon at HSS Florida.

“The majority of my patients are golfers, and they love the simulator,” he notes. “It’s the kind that professionals use, with a huge screen that could make you feel like you’re at a golf course in Augusta or Pebble Beach. It’s very impressive.”

Utilizing advanced radar-tracking technology, the simulator captures detailed data on swing mechanics, ball launch and flight patterns. “The wealth of information enables our physical therapists to design highly personalized rehabilitation plans in a safe, controlled environment,” says Ryan Simovitch, MD, director of the shoulder division and co-medical director at HSS Florida.

An Enhanced Rehab Experience

Instead of seeing rehab as a chore, many individuals look forward to the immersive virtual golf experience, explains Maria Alejandra Fumero, PT, a physical therapist who specializes in treating golfers at HSS Florida. Along with her clinical expertise, the simulator can help determine when a golfer can safely return to the sport. Patients can be tested in golf-specific scenarios, helping them to build both strength and confidence, she says.

“The simulator helps us provide an elevated rehab experience for patients in a controlled, air-conditioned environment where we can see how they’re moving, how they are feeling, and what they need to work on,” she

Fumero says, 'The simulator helps us provide an elevated rehab experience for patients in a controlled, air-conditioned environment where we can see how they’re moving, how they are feeling, and what they need to work on.'

– Dr. Spencer Summers, HSS Florida

explains. “They’re not running around on the golf course in the Florida heat hitting 50 balls and then seeing how they feel,” adds Fumero who counts golfers in their 80s and 90s among her patients.

A Study on How Arthritis and Subsequent Surgery Affect Golf

The golf simulator is central to a study at HSS Florida to determine how arthritis and joint replacement surgery affect a player’s performance. Researchers aim to recruit 300 golfers with knee, hip or shoulder arthritis. Participants will be assessed both before and after surgery to analyze club swing, balance and other components of the game to explore the effect of joint replacement and subsequent rehabilitation.

“When a golfer is scheduled for joint replacement, one of their first questions is about when they can return to the game,” explains Summers. “Is their golf game going to be better? Will it be worse? What can they expect? To this day, there is little published research on how a major joint replacement surgery affects performance.”

The HSS Florida researchers hope to change that. They are using the golf simulator in combination with a sophisticated motion analysis system with high-speed cameras that capture the golfer’s movements from multiple angles. “We analyze movement in the torso, shoulder, elbow, hip and knee, while simultaneously tracking vital information such as ball spin, distance and trajectory,” Simovitch explains.

Researchers will monitor the golfers’ progress over two years. Simovitch notes that down the road, the study findings could lead to changes in rehabilitation guidelines to maximize outcomes for golfers after joint replacement or even lead to modifications in how the surgery is performed.

HSS Florida uses the simulator to analyze movement in multiple areas of the body, along with the golf swing.

The Chic Appeal of a Well-Behaved Dog

Picture this: You’re strolling on the beach or through a farmers market, and your dog is calmly strutting in pace with you, with a slack leash, and tail wagging. A wellbehaved dog isn’t just a joy – it’s the epitome of canine chic, and savvy dog ownership.

The stylish allure of a disciplined dog will elevate every outing into a statement of elegance and harmony.

A dog that walks politely, without pulling or lunging, exudes confidence and charm. It’s like having a fourlegged fashion accessory that complements your stride. Whether it’s a German shepherd, a doodle, or a cavapoo, their calm demeanor always turns heads!

People will admire the seamless connection between you and your dog. No tangled leashes, dragging or constant barking at other people, and dogs – just a poised duo owning their walk.

This level of polish isn’t just aesthetic; it’s practical. A well-mannered dog navigates crowded farmers markets, and restaurants with ease, making every walk a stressfree affair.

It’s a social win – your dog’s composure invites compliments, and maybe even a new friend.

Achieving this stylish synergy takes some effort – proper training, and patience. But the payoff? Priceless... as you now have the dog of your dreams! A well-behaved dog is the ultimate accessory.

A few reasons why a well-behaved dog is so

appealing:

Improved safety for you, and other people and their dogs; a positive public perception: I can’t begin to tell you how many clients have told me that their dog was dreaded in the neighborhood before training.

A dog that walks calmly on a leash, doesn't jump on strangers, and isn't aggressive towards other dogs is safer for everyone involved. This creates a more pleasant experience for the owner and those around them, fostering a positive image of responsible pet ownership.

Reduced stress and improved owner-dog bond: When a dog is well-trained and responsive to commands, every interaction, including walks, becomes less stressful and this positive interaction strengthens the bond and creates shared experiences.

Enhanced social opportunities: A well-behaved dog can enjoy time away from their home, going on adventures and in many cases, on a weekend getaway with the family. Let’s make your dog your ultimate fashion accessory for years to come.
