Welcome to TFM 5.0: The Year of Change

“You’ve changed.” You’re absolutely right, we have.

It’s one of those phrases, isn’t it? Often tossed around with a hint of judgement, usually by someone clutching tightly to the comfort of the same old, same old. But let’s set the record straight—what’s wrong with change? What’s wrong with growing, learning, evolving? Here at TFM, we’re not just embracing change; we’re driving it forward with everything we’ve got.

Change isn’t just inevitable, it’s electric. It’s the way we smash the mould, the way we move forward, and the way we build something better. So as we charge in to this new year, let’s leave all that “new year, new me” nonsense behind. TFM 5.0 is here, and this year, we’re going all in on CHANGE.

First, let’s talk about the big deal with 2025. For starters, it’s the Year of the Snake in the Chinese Zodiac, a symbol of transformation, wisdom, and, let’s be honest, a bit of swazz. It’s all about shedding the old and stepping into the new with confidence. But the Snake doesn’t do it half hearted. Transformation isn’t rushed—it’s deliberate, strategic, and certain.

Allow us to get a bit philosophical for a minute, don’t yawn, bear with us, our mate, Heraclitus said it best: “The only constant in life is change.” It’s a phrase as old as time, but it couldn’t be truer. Life is like a river—always flowing, always shifting, always surprising. We are here to celebrate the flow. Every business, innovator, and community we feature knows the power of embracing change. They’ve faced challenges head-on, turned obstacles into opportunities, and reimagined what’s possible.

It's not without it’s risks, change can be intimidating and scary as hell. It’s like these cold water plunges we’ve all been on about, shocking at first, but exhilarating once you’re in and the rush is unreal. And let’s not pretend this is the year for quiet, polite adjustments. No, 2025 is about disruption—the bold, unapologetic kind that doesn’t knock politely but kicks the thing off it’s hinges, wide open and shouts, “Let’s av’it”

What if we dared to think bigger? What if we stopped asking “why?” and started asking “why not?” What if we threw the rulebook out of the window altogether? Across Cheshire and beyond, businesses are rethinking traditions, tech innovators are breaking boundaries, and communities are proving that together, anything is possible.

This isn’t just about stories; it’s about celebrating bravery and resilience. It’s about shining a light on those who are flipping industries on their heads, rewriting the rules, and showing us all what’s possible when you take a chance. These aren’t just tales of change, they’re blueprints for creativity and gutsy ambition.

And now, it’s your turn. TFM 5.0 isn’t just a magazine. It’s a movement. It’s a call to action for anyone ready to leap, transform, and grow. So, here’s the deal: forget the doubters, embrace the unknown, and collectively let’s “turn the page”.

This is your year. Your year to disrupt. Your year to build something extraordinary.

Welcome to the future.

Time for change.

– Team TFM

HOUSE

OF

VALERIE:

MORE THAN JUST A CHANGE OF NAME

At the tail end of 2024, we found ourselves stepping through the doors of House of Valerie (formerly Arabella) for its official launch party, and trust us when we say, this wasn’t just an event. It was the event. An evening so infectiously electrifying, so uniquely unforgettable, that crowning it “Event of the Year” feels like an understatement. It wasn’t just a party, it was a story being told and a future being created, and if anyone can top it in 2025, then they will be the ones to do that.

But before we dance our way into the glittering details of the night, let’s set some ground rules. House of Valerie rules, to be exact.

Rule #1: “Thou shalt dance like nobody’s watching.”

Oh, Valerie, we did. And it was glorious.

A New Name, Same Spirit, Bigger Energy

The name Arabella carried a legacy of elegance and allure, but the essence—the true spirit—was forged by the powerhouse team working behind the scenes. With House of Valerie, they’ve taken that spark and turned it into a roaring fire.

This isn’t just a rebrand; it’s a full-throttle reawakening. Valerie is unapologetic, vibrant, and unstoppable—a perfect embodiment of the next chapter for this iconic space.

HOV is a vibe. It’s about living larger than life, celebrating individuality, and creating a world where everyone’s welcome but nothing’s predictable. Valerie isn’t just a place to visit; it’s a space to be. To live, love, and completely lose yourself in the moment. And because every great house needs its commandments, here’s another:

Rule #2: “Anything confessed in the changing room stays in the changing room.”

Yes, Valerie, we trust you to keep our secrets safe.

The Launch Party: A Night to Remember

The launch itself? Pure magic.

From the moment we walked through the doors, we were swept into Valerie’s world—a dazzling whirlwind of music, movement, and style.

The décor? A chic collision of modern sophistication and electric rebellion The crowd? A blend of movers, shakers, tastemakers, and trendsetters, all dressed to impress. The vibe? Impossible to put into words but permanently etched in our memories.

Let’s paint the picture: acrobatic circus performers spun overhead, live sketch artists captured the night’s style in real time, and the music? A perfectly curated mix of beats from a live band and a legendary DJ. Drinks flowed, canapés disappeared almost as fast as they arrived, and the House of Valerie team? Effortlessly running the show with style, charm, and endless energy.

The room pulsed with life as the playlist inspired uninhibited movement. Every detail of the night was a reminder of what makes Valerie so unique—it’s not just a brand, it’s an experience.

Rule #3: “Thou shall dress for ourselves not others”

HOV: About Our House

House of Valerie isn’t just a store; it’s a movement. A love letter to bold, creative women who refuse to apologize for being themselves.

This house was built on individuality and daring energy. Inspired by trailblazers like Vivienne Westwood, HOV exists for those who blend bold flair with timeless elegance and play life by their own rules. Every piece in their collection is a statement—an unapologetic reminder to own the space you walk into.

If you’re about breaking the mold and looking fabulous while doing it, welcome home. You’re with Valerie now.

Rule #4: “Thou shall grow old disgracefully”. Amen!

Family-Owned, Powered by Passion

At its core, HOV is family. Run by strong, hardworking individuals obsessed with sourcing pieces that resonate with boldness and authenticity. It’s not just a business; it’s a shared vision for empowering individuality through unforgettable fashion.

A rule that we all need to live by, in a world where you can be anything, be kind. Rule

#5: “Thou shall speak only positively about ourselves and our sisters”

Curated, Not Conventional

Forget trends. HOV is all about hand-picked, one-of-a-kind collections from boundary-pushing designers. Each piece strikes the perfect balance between avant-garde and classic twists, giving you the tools to craft a look as unique as you are. And for the final rule...

HOV Live: Watch. Shop. Slay.

Experience the magic of HOV no matter where you are. Their live shows offer a front-row seat to new arrivals, curated looks, and real-time style inspiration. It’s like stepping into Valerie’s world, one live-stream at a time.

Download the app to unlock loyalty discounts, exclusive offers, and seamless shopping. Or catch a show on their socials. Trust us—you don’t want to miss it.

What’s Next for HOV?

As we step into 2025, the House of Valerie is just getting started. Expect more of everything, more events, more curated collections, more unforgettable moments.

From immersive experiences and surprise pop-ups to collaborations that push boundaries, HOV is rewriting the rules of fashion and lifestyle. Whether it’s a live-streamed runway or an exclusive in-store event, Valerie is dedicated to celebrating individuality and creating memories that last.

So, here’s to House of Valerie—an unstoppable force of boldness, creativity, and unapologetic living. Cheers to breaking rules, rewriting stories, and dancing like nobody’s watching.

See you at the next big event. We loved it.

EMBRACING CHANGE. THE FUTURE OF WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENTS.

Change is inevitable, yet for many organisations, it’s still met with hesitation. In the world of commercial interiors, however, change is more than necessary, it’s an opportunity to create environments that truly empower the people who use them. Recent years have shown us just how vital adaptability is in the working world, shifting the focus toward spaces that prioritise wellbeing, collaboration, and future-proof design.

At its core, workplace change isn’t about shuffling furniture or painting walls—it’s about rethinking how we work and interact. Modern offices must account for hybrid working, evolving technology, and a deeper understanding of employees’ needs. The result? Flexible layouts, inclusive design features, and communal spaces that reflect an organisation’s commitment to both its people and the planet.

But the greatest catalyst for positive change often starts within an organisation’s culture. Involving employees in the design process, seeking diverse input, and acknowledging every workplace’s unique needs can make all the difference. A thoughtful transformation can boost morale, enhance productivity, and even reshape a company’s identity.

Looking ahead, this focus on dynamic, evolving spaces is only set to grow. By anticipating change—rather than resisting it—workplaces stay agile and ready to adapt. Whether it’s implementing cutting-edge technology for remote collaboration, designing quiet zones for deep focus, or creating breakout areas that spark creativity, embracing change is key to keeping a workspace relevant and engaging.

Ultimately, change in commercial interiors is more than just a passing trend—it’s a declaration of an organisation’s commitment to growth and resilience. By proactively embracing change today, businesses can thrive in whatever tomorrow brings.

The Benefits of Change in Workplace Design

Increased Productivity — Thoughtful layouts and design features positively influence focus, organisation, and working habits.

Improved Morale — Giving employees more control over their environment elevates job satisfaction.

Better Collaboration — New layouts encourage teamwork and facilitate productive interactions.

Employee Engagement — A redesign signals that a business values its workforce, boosting engagement levels.

Sense of Security — Personal or quiet spaces can reduce anxiety, aiding mental health and well-being.

Creativity — Environments designed for inspiration help employees stay motivated and innovative.

can lead to productivity

By recognising the potential of workplace change—and acting on it— organisations set themselves up for a future where productivity, wellbeing, and growth go hand in hand.

Change is in the DNA of Genesis. Born in Seoul with a vision to redefine what a luxury car experience can be, Genesis has quickly become a disruptor in the automotive world. At the core of the brand is a distinctly Korean philosophy, customers aren’t just buyers; they’re cherished guests, known as son-nim (손님). This ethos of respect and attentiveness permeates everything Genesis does, from the first test drive to years of ownership.

In an industry steeped in tradition, Genesis has taken a bold stance: the experience of buying and owning a car should be as exceptional as the vehicle itself. Forget the days of haggling over prices in a dealership or test-driving a car under the fluorescent glare of showroom lights. Genesis offers something entirely different—and far better.

Rewriting the Rules of Luxury

Genesis doesn’t just sell cars; it curates an experience. With transparent pricing and a comprehensive 5-Year Care Plan that includes everything from warranty coverage to roadside assistance, Genesis ensures peace of mind from day one. But it’s the personal touch that sets them apart.

Every owner is paired with a Genesis Personal Assistant—a knowledgeable guide who supports you throughout your journey. Whether arranging a test drive, tailoring the buying experience, or answering questions about your car, these assistants redefine customer care. It’s luxury with a human touch, delivered with the precision and thoughtfulness that embodies the brand.

An Individual Experience

This is not about blending in—it’s about standing out. This philosophy is reflected in the Genesis Studio, a welcoming, unpressurised environment where customers can explore the line-up, interact with the team, and immerse themselves in the brand’s ethos.

For those who prefer to experience Genesis on the road, the brand hosts Test Drive Events across the country. These gatherings combine elegant surroundings, personalised attention, and, of course, the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Genesis model. Think stately homes, complimentary refreshments, and a line-up of cars that redefine modern luxury.

Driven by Innovation

At the heart of Genesis is a commitment to intelligent innovation. This isn’t technology for technology’s sake, as has become common place in the industry; it’s innovation designed to enhance safety, comfort, and enjoyment for everyone—from the driver and passengers to other road users. Genesis cars are packed with cutting-edge features that make every journey a pleasure, all while maintaining the brand’s signature clean and refined aesthetic.

A Global Vision with Local Impact

The story of Genesis is rooted in Korean craftsmanship and inspired by the dynamic culture of Seoul—a city where tradition meets hyper-modernity. This duality informs every detail of Genesis cars, from their minimalist design to their intuitive technology. Under the guidance of legendary designers like Peter Schreyer and Luc Donckerwolke, Genesis has created a portfolio of vehicles that compete head-on with the world’s most established luxury brands.

Locally, Genesis Cheshire has been at the forefront of bringing this global vision to life. Through events like the Genesis Cheshire Roadshow, which showcased the brand at iconic venues like Rookery Hall and Capesthorne Hall, Genesis has turned heads and sparked conversations. These events were more than just test drives; they were immersive experiences that highlighted the craftsmanship, performance and elegance of the Genesis range.

NEW YEAR, BETTER ME: WHY RESOLUTIONS ALONE AREN’T ENOUGH

As the clock strikes midnight on January 1st, millions of people across the world make bold declarations: This year will be different. The phrase “New Year, New Me” echoes through gyms, meal prep routines, and social media feeds with a flurry of optimism. But let’s face it—how often do those wellmeaning resolutions last beyond February, or even January?

Here’s the truth: resolutions fail because they’re built on hope, not habits. Transforming your body, health, or energy levels in 2025 will require more than a motivational quote. It needs a strategy—one designed for sustainability, not a fleeting burst of enthusiasm.

I believe I can put your ambition into actions.

The Power of Focused Goals

True transformation begins with understanding why you want to change. Is it to have more energy for your kids? To walk into the boardroom with confidence? To feel like the best version of yourself?

When your goals are tied to a meaningful purpose, they stop being just another task on your endless to-do list. They become a priority—a nonnegotiable commitment to yourself. Purpose-driven goals create clarity, and with clarity comes focus, discipline, and progress.

Beyond the “New Me”

The idea of a “New Me” sounds inspiring, but real magic happens when you stop focusing on reinvention and start focusing on evolution. You don’t need to start over. You don’t need to erase who you are. Instead, build on what you’ve already accomplished.

Transformation isn’t about becoming someone else; it’s about becoming the best version of who you already are. And here’s the best part: you don’t have to do it alone. Surround yourself with support, inspiration, and people who share your vision for growth.

Final Thoughts

As we step into 2025, if you find yourself not quite where you want to be, don’t retreat. Don’t hide. Don’t look for the nearest exit.

The Trap of Overwhelm

The problem isn’t setting goals—it’s trying to overhaul your entire life overnight. Declaring you’ll lose 30 pounds, run a marathon, or banish every "processed" food from your diet might sound ambitious, but without a plan, it’s like setting off on a road trip without a map.

Real, lasting change doesn’t come from grand gestures. It comes from consistent, small actions that build over time. Aiming for perfection is a surefire way to set yourself up for failure. Instead, focus on progress—because progress creates momentum, and momentum fuels transformation. jdfconsultancy.com | @jd_fconsultancy01

It’s not just a hotel—it’s an experience.

ROOKERY HALL HOTEL & SPA: EMBRACING CHANGE WITH TIMELESS ELEGANCE

If there’s one place that perfectly captures the balance between history and evolution, it’s Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa. Nestled in 38 acres of serene parkland just outside Nantwich, this 19th-century Georgian country house has been a cornerstone of South Cheshire for nearly 50 years as a hotel. And yet, as grand and steeped in history as it is, Rookery Hall is a masterclass in embracing change without losing its identity.

From its origins as a private home to its current status as a destination for wellness, fine dining, and celebrations, Rookery has consistently moved with the times. Its story is one of reinvention: a historic manor house reimagined with modern-day luxuries, creating a unique space where tradition and innovation blend seamlessly.

Wellness Meets Modernity

The former stables have been transformed into a sleek and expansive spa facility, setting the standard for contemporary wellness. With a hydrotherapy pool beneath a glass roof, indulgent treatments tailored to your needs, and exercise options ranging from high-energy spin classes to tranquil qigong on the lawn, Rookery Hall’s spa is more than just a retreat—it’s a lifestyle statement.

This isn’t your average wellness centre. It’s where you’ll find yourself stretching out stress in a yoga class or unwinding in the alfresco terrace overlooking the River Weaver, all before indulging in the spa’s Asianinspired café menu. For those who prefer balance over restriction, it’s the perfect place to earn your post-workout glass of Champagne.

A Dining Experience with Depth

When it comes to food, Rookery Hall doesn’t just serve meals—it serves memories. Awarded three coveted AA Rosettes, the restaurant is a celebration of modern British cuisine, with a menu that champions the local larder and seasonal produce. Think tartare of Galician dairy cow beef, Hereford fillet of beef, or Scottish halibut served with Shetland mussels and Champagne butter sauce.

The experience is as refined as the dishes themselves, from the mullioned windows of the main dining room to the relaxed charm of the Drawing Room, where you can enjoy everything from pork belly bites to stonebaked pizzas.

Why We Love Rookery

At TFM, we’re proud to call Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa one of our valued partners. Their commitment to quality, innovation, and the community reflects the very essence of what we believe in. Whether it’s their focus on seasonal dining, luxurious wellness facilities, or their ever-evolving approach to hospitality, Rookery represents the kind of bold change we celebrate.

As Rookery Hall steps confidently into 2025, we love watching them continue to balance history with modernity, elegance with innovation. For those looking to experience change in the most indulgent way possible, this is the destination that delivers every time.

So, whether you’re escaping for a weekend spa package, dining on their award-winning menu, or simply soaking in the rich history of the manor, Rookery Hall is the perfect example of how change, when done right, can feel like a timeless luxury.

THE AUTHENTIC GIRLS CLUB: A JOURNEY OF

CONNECTION, GROWTH,

AND BELIEF

You may remember the story of Denzel and Welly - the two black Labradors stolen from their family right here in Nantwich. It was a local story that captured hearts and rallied the community. For their owner, Charlotte Robson, it was more than a devastating ordeal; it became a lifealtering moment that led her to found The Authentic Girls Club (TAGC)—a space where women come to feel held, supported, and inspired as they reconnect with who they truly are.

Together with her business partner, Cat Houghton, Charlotte has built a thriving community that began right here in Nantwich but now stretches across Europe. TAGC is more than a business; it’s a mission to empower women to believe in themselves and take control of their lives.

A Space to Feel Held

Walking into TAGC feels like stepping into a warm, inviting sanctuary for the soul. It’s a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood - a place where the walls echo with raw, real conversations. The focus isn’t on perfection but on progress. Together, members dive deep into the work of personal growth, turning challenges into opportunities and building belief in themselves one step at a time.

The energy in this space is unlike any other. It’s growth-focused, solutionoriented, and filled with a momentum that inspires action. TAGC is where you’re reminded of your power and supported as you walk back to your truest self.

From Loss to Leadership

Charlotte’s journey to creating TAGC began with a profound experience of community. When Denzel and Welly were stolen, the people of Nantwich stepped up in extraordinary ways to help her family. Days later, thanks to their relentless support, the dogs were found, and Charlotte’s life was forever changed.

Before this, Charlotte had felt lost and unsure of her purpose. But through this experience, she discovered the power of connection and the strength within herself. With the support of her husband, Dale, and inspired by the kindness of strangers, she made a decision: to focus on what she could control, shift her energy to the good, and create a life filled with love and purpose.

TAGC grew from this realisation, fuelled by Charlotte’s passion and Cat’s shared vision. Together, they created a space where women could feel the same sense of support and encouragement Charlotte experienced during her darkest days.

What Makes TAGC Special

At TAGC, women are united in their desire to grow, feel better, and live more fully. The club’s unique Self Coaching Method helps members take responsibility for their lives, take action toward their goals, and celebrate their wins.

But it’s not just about the method - it’s about the connection. Members join TAGC for the tools but stay for the community. The safe, authentic environment allows women to share their stories, tackle challenges, and celebrate successes together.

This isn’t surface-level self-improvement. It’s deep, transformative work, done in the company of women who lift each other up.

Real Stories, Real Results

TAGC members are achieving incredible things ~ both personally and professionally. From career breakthroughs and entrepreneurial success to health, resilience and inner peace. It’s members are stepping into the spotlight with confidence by finding and following their purpose and proving that no goal is too big and no challenge is insurmountable when you have the right tools and support. The TAGC difference is the belief that every woman can coach herself to a better life.

As one member puts it:

“TAGC has helped me step into my power and truly thrive. I’ve become more self-aware, more confident, and more capable of navigating life’s challenges.”

A Global Movement

The story of Denzel and Welly began in Nantwich, but the lessons learned have become a global movement. The Authentic Girls Club is here to remind every woman that she is capable of incredible things - and it all starts with reconnecting to her authentic self.

TAGC isn’t just a club; it’s a journey. A journey back to you.

If you’re ready to feel held, supported, and inspired, they invite you to join them. Together, you’ll grow, believe, and create a life you’re excited to live.

Nantwich, let's start creating a future worth shouting about.

LOCAL SPOTLIGHT

NANTWICH: THE UNTAPPED POTENTIAL

Nantwich. A town with charm, a rich history, and that elusive something that keeps it ticking. But let’s be honest—aren’t we all a little tired of hearing the same old phrases trotted out again and again? “A hidden treasure,” they say. Is it, though? And what even is a “floral market town”? It sounds lovely, but does it actually mean anything to the people living and working here?

We’re as proud of Nantwich as anyone. Its heritage is incredible, its architecture beautiful, and its people—well, they’re what truly make it special. We’ll never stop celebrating what’s come before us. But here’s the thing: isn’t it time we stopped leaning so heavily on the past and started using it to shape a better future?

In recent years, we’ve waved goodbye to some of our town’s most cherished independent businesses. Maybe it’s just a sign of the times, a symptom of the upheaval we’ve all faced. Or maybe it’s something more— maybe it’s because they didn’t get the support they needed and, frankly, deserved.

Nantwich is packed with potential. It’s full of inspiration, driven entrepreneurs, and opportunities that feel almost endless. So why does it sometimes feel like so many of these opportunities are left unexplored? Why do we keep hearing about what Nantwich used to be instead of imagining what it could be?

It’s time to ask the hard questions. What would happen if we shifted our focus? If we put the same energy into nurturing new ideas and supporting local businesses as we do into preserving the past? What if we reimagined Nantwich—not as a relic of what once was, but as a town brimming with possibilities, ready to step boldly into its next chapter?

This isn’t about letting go of our roots. It’s about giving them space to grow into something bigger, bolder, and better.

How Do We Inspire the Next Generation?

Here’s the reality: Nantwich is set to grow. The population curve suggests more people than ever will call this town home in the coming years. So the question is, are we going to stand by and remain “a hidden treasure”? Or will we dare to innovate, create, and finally make Nantwich the destination town it was always meant to be?

We’re not asking for a revolution, and we’re certainly not suggesting Nantwich should become Cheshire’s party capital. But where is our creative hub? Where is our future plan? The same tired narrative of “little old Nantwich” just doesn’t cut it anymore.

Collectively, collaboratively, we need to uncover the town’s distinctive sense of self.

Yes, it’s great that we have coffee shops. It’s great that we have a charming little market. But if you were asked to describe Nantwich’s identity, could you? Would there be a unified answer, or would it be a jumble of fragmented ideas? Worse still, would the answer even be positive?

Building an Identity for Tomorrow

Nantwich needs an identity that reflects its ambitions, not just its history. An identity that celebrates its creative entrepreneurs, supports its independent businesses, and makes it a place people actively want to visit—not just pass through.

Where are the spaces for collaboration, the platforms for innovation? A creative hub could be the beating heart of this town—a space for artists, entrepreneurs, and changemakers to come together, to experiment, and to inspire. It’s about giving people—young and old—a reason to dream big and make those dreams a reality, right here in Nantwich.

A town without a plan is a town standing still. And Nantwich is anything but still. The energy is there, waiting to be tapped into. The ideas, the people, the opportunities—they’re all here. So why aren’t we pulling it together?

Time to Step Forward

We’re not saying Nantwich should forget its history. Far from it. But history alone isn’t enough to keep a town alive and thriving. It’s time to step forward, to take what makes Nantwich special and build on it. To unify the town around a vision for the future that doesn’t just preserve the past, but propels it into something new and exciting.

So, Nantwich, let’s stop playing it safe. Let’s stop hiding behind tired clichés and start creating a future worth shouting about. The potential is here, and the time to act is now.

The only question left is: when do we start?

DISTRIBUTION SPOTLIGHT

CHANGE IN MOTION: HOW BOUGHEY DISTRIBUTION IS REDEFINING BUSINESS

Businesses are often criticised for stagnation—but not on Boughey Distribution’s watch. Celebrating 60 years of operations last year, Boughey stands out as a shining example of evolution and adaptability. They aren’t just keeping up with the times; they’re leading the charge. From adopting electric vehicles to achieving B Corp Certification, Boughey proves that change isn’t just a buzzword—it’s the engine driving their success (pun intended).

A New Chapter in Distribution

Based in Cheshire and Staffordshire, Boughey Distribution recently added a significant milestone to its history: the opening of a cutting-edge 332,000 sq ft warehouse in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This bold move not only creates 250 new jobs but also increases capacity for existing clients and paves the way for new business. It’s not just an expansion—it’s a statement of intent.

Managing Director, Angela Carus, describes the new facility as a response to the ever-evolving demands of the distribution industry. With unpredictable retail patterns driven by economic challenges and shifting consumer behaviour, Boughey’s ability to adapt quickly is central to its continued success.

“We’re seeing increased demand for space from both existing and new clients. Our industry requires agility and a forward-thinking mindset, and this new warehouse is a testament to that.”
Angela Carus Managing Director

B Corp Certification: A Commitment to Better Business

Perhaps the most transformative shift in Boughey’s trajectory is its recent achievement of B Corp Certification. This prestigious accreditation measures a company’s social and environmental impact across areas such as governance, employee welfare, and supply chain practices. For Boughey, this wasn’t just another box to tick—it was a complete rethinking of how they operate.

“The B Corp movement resonated deeply with our values,” explains Carus. “It’s not about ticking boxes; it’s about embedding social and environmental responsibility into every aspect of what we do. The certification has given us a renewed sense of purpose and accountability.”

The journey to B Corp status has also energised the company culture, inspiring employees to rethink their collective and individual impact. Led by ESG & Quality Manager Sarah Hall, Boughey has implemented initiatives that not only transformed the business but also positioned it as a mentor for other companies aspiring to achieve the same certification.

Change That Starts Locally

You don’t stay in business for six decades without being deeply rooted in your community—and Boughey is just that. Employing more local people than any other business, they’re not just part of Nantwich; they’re a pillar of it.

From partnering with Nantwich Town FC—sponsoring both the men’s and women’s first teams—to supporting events like the Nantwich Food Festival, Boughey consistently invests in the community it calls home. This local-first ethos extends to their broader goals, as they integrate sustainability, innovation, and inclusivity into their operations.

The Future of Business

For Boughey, change isn’t a reaction—it’s a strategy. Whether through their multi-million-pound warehouse investment or their commitment to the B Corp ethos, Boughey is setting a blueprint for how businesses can stay relevant, responsible, and resilient in a rapidly shifting world.

“Change isn’t just about surviving; it’s about thriving,” says Carus. “Through the B Corp movement and our renewed focus, we’re redefining what it means to be a force for good in business.”

2025: THE YEAR FOR CHANGE – LETTING GO OF FEAR AND EMBRACING COURAGE

As we step into 2025, I invite you to make this the year of change—a year where we let go of the fears that hold us back and find the courage to give everything, we have towards achieving our dreams. This is not about perfection; it’s about progress, growth, and trusting ourselves enough to take that first step, no matter how daunting it might feel.

When I look back to the day I started Stable Minds, I remember sitting on a bench in Knutsford with my rainbow umbrella, feeling the weight of my doubts. Questions like, “What if no one turns up?” or “What if people think it’s a silly idea?” circled in my mind. But I also knew that if I let those thoughts control me, Stable Minds wouldn’t have existed today. Challenging those fears, stepping forward despite the uncertainty, was one of the hardest yet most rewarding decisions I’ve ever made. That small, brave moment of action has since grown into a thriving organisation that now supports so many people on their mental health journeys.

The beauty of change is that it doesn’t have to be perfect or immediate. It’s not about getting everything right from the start; it’s about having the courage to begin. So, whatever your dreams or goals for this year may be, give yourself permission to go after them wholeheartedly. Allow yourself to make mistakes, to adjust your course, and to grow through the process. Most importantly, remember that you are unique, and your path doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s.

This story isn’t unique to me. We can all face those “what ifs” that threaten to hold us back. “What if I fail?” “What if I’m not good enough?” “What if things don’t go as planned?” But here’s the truth: there’s no such thing as failure when you view life as a journey of learning and evolving. Each misstep teaches us something valuable, guiding us closer to where we’re meant to be. Every time you challenge a negative thought, you open a door to possibility.

Change looks different for everyone. For me, I tend to jump in with both feet and figure things out as I go. That approach has led to plenty of mistakes along the way, but I see those as opportunities to learn and grow. For others, change may look like taking small, deliberate steps micro changes that build over time into something extraordinary. Neither approach is better or worse; it’s about recognising what works for you and moving forward in a way that feels authentic to your own journey.

As we start this new year, I want to encourage you to reflect on the changes you’d like to see in your life. What dreams have you been holding onto but haven’t pursued because of fear? What habits or patterns might be keeping you stuck? Whether your change involves starting a new career, improving your relationships, or simply taking better care of your mental health, trust yourself enough to take that first step.

Today, I invite you to embrace change—whatever that means for you. Trust in your ability to learn, evolve, and thrive. Let this be the year you challenge the negative “what ifs” and instead ask yourself, “What if it works?” Who knows what incredible opportunities might unfold when you give yourself the chance to try.

If you or someone you know needs support in navigating change or overcoming challenges, our team at Stable Minds is here to help. Visit us at stable-minds.co.uk to learn more about our services and how we can support you in making 2025 a year of growth and possibility.

CREWE & NANTWICH RUGBY CLUB: CHANGING THE GAME FOR INCLUSION

For almost a century, Crewe & Nantwich Rugby Club has been at the heart of the community, a place where passion for rugby meets a commitment to nurturing talent. With over 400 members and 20+ teams spanning all ages and genders, this club has grown to represent more than just a game—it’s a hub of connection, growth, and opportunity.

But even as the club has flourished, especially with a 28% rise in female participation among mini and junior teams, one glaring challenge has remained: inadequate facilities. It’s a problem that limits who can train and play, creating barriers for the very players the club is dedicated to supporting. Now, Crewe & Nantwich RUFC is embracing change, and it’s a change that will transform the club—and the community—forever.

If anyone CAN, they CAN. Crewe And Nantwich Rugby Club.

The Drive for Change

At the heart of this campaign is the mission to create inclusive changing facilities. The current setup, with limited shared spaces, has forced girls’ teams to use “Ted’s Shed”—a makeshift solution that no longer fits the needs of a thriving, modern club. For a place that prides itself on fostering equality and growth, this is no longer acceptable.

The vision is clear: to remodel the current facilities into four selfcontained changing rooms, complete with dedicated spaces for male and female officials, as well as a physio room and disabled access facilities. This investment isn’t just about bricks and mortar—it’s about creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all players, from U5s to senior teams, regardless of gender.

Impact Beyond the Pitch

This isn’t just a rugby project; it’s a community transformation. By modernising the changing facilities, the club aims to:

• Support the rapid growth of women’s and girls’ rugby, ensuring players feel valued, safe, and included.

• Enable multiple teams to train and play simultaneously, creating more opportunities for all age groups.

• Strengthen ties with local schools, offering girls and boys access to toptier coaching and facilities.

• Serve as a hub for other sports, including hockey, American football, and local football teams, enhancing accessibility for the wider community.

Inclusivity doesn’t stop at the players. The new facilities will also welcome disabled visitors, officials, and families, creating a truly universal space.

A Vision Backed by the Community

With £98,000 needed to bring this vision to life, the club is already well on its way, thanks to support from the RFU (£40,000), smaller fundraisers, and a vital commitment from Sport England to match £15,000 if the club raises the other half. It’s a collective effort, one that highlights the power of teamwork not just on the pitch, but in life.

Every donation counts, not just for the rugby players, but for the community at large. This project will create a space where inclusivity thrives, where young athletes see their potential realised, and where families and supporters feel they belong.

Changing the Future of Rugby

Crewe & Nantwich RUFC’s campaign is more than an upgrade—it’s a bold step towards redefining the culture of rugby. By tackling gender inequality, enhancing facilities, and fostering inclusion, the club is setting a benchmark for what local sports clubs can achieve.

This is about creating change that matters—not just for today’s players, but for future generations. It’s about ensuring that every young girl who steps onto the pitch knows she belongs. It’s about showing that rugby isn’t just a sport; it’s a community where everyone is valued.

At THEFEEDMAG., we’re proud to stand alongside Crewe & Nantwich RUFC as they embrace this transformative journey. Their dedication to inclusivity and their commitment to change inspire us, and we can’t wait to see the impact this project will have—not just on the pitch, but across the community.

Because when we work together to create spaces that include everyone, we’re not just changing the game—we’re changing lives.

To learn more about the project or to contribute, visit the club’s crowdfunding campaign and be part of something extraordinary. Together, let’s help Crewe & Nantwich RUFC turn the page on a new chapter of inclusivity and opportunity.

CORE FULFILMENT: DELIVERING CHANGE, GROWTH & EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE

When it comes to the world of eCommerce logistics, Core Fulfilment stands as a shining example of innovation, resilience, and a relentless commitment to excellence. We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Paul Burns, co-owner of Core Fulfilment, to discuss the company’s journey, its impressive growth, and its steadfast dedication to serving customers. Our conversation delved into the complexities of business challenges, the art of management, and the importance of embracing change.

Delivering big-brand service for businesses of every size

From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leader

Founded in 2014 by Paul Burns and Jeremy Vernon, Core Fulfilment was born out of a desire to revolutionise the SME online retail sector. With a clear vision to provide order fulfilment services that rival those of eCommerce giants, Core has made its mark as a trusted partner for businesses of all sizes.

Paul and Jeremy’s journey began amidst the financial struggles of their previous employer, a logistics company. This adversity ignited their entrepreneurial spirit, and by mid-2014, Core Fulfilment emerged as a beacon of hope for small and medium-sized businesses in need of reliable third-party logistics (3PL).

Customer-Centric at Its Core

“At its core, what is CORE?” Paul asked, and answered succinctly: “We think like the consumer. What would they expect? And for our customers, we deliver exactly what we promise.” This ethos has been the foundation of Core’s success, building trust and loyalty among its clients. Whether serving a budding start-up or an established brand, Core’s commitment to excellence remains unwavering.

This focus on consistency and reliability has propelled the company forward, achieving a remarkable tenfold increase in order volumes since its inception. By 2019, Core had expanded to three warehouses in Crewe, offering industry-leading services like late 10 p.m. order cut-offs—a gamechanger for businesses striving to meet customer demands.

A Warehouse with Heart

Core Fulfilment isn’t just a logistics company—it’s an organism, a living, breathing entity fueled by a dynamic and passionate team. From its early days with just 10 employees to its current workforce of over 70, Core’s growth has been phenomenal. Yet, as Paul shared, managing growth is no easy feat. “The hardest part of any business is maintaining consistency— doing a good job every day for your clients.”

The company’s focus on planning and quality has been transformative. “Stop reacting and start planning,” Paul emphasised. “Every hour of quality planning, saves you 100 hours of reacting.” This philosophy underpins Core’s approach to logistics, ensuring a seamless experience for their clients and their customers.

Partnerships Built on Trust

Core Fulfilment’s success is rooted in its ability to build genuine relationships with its clients. This partnership-driven mindset has enabled Core to serve businesses large and small with equal dedication. The team’s ability to adapt and innovate ensures that every client receives the highest level of service, regardless of their order volumes.

“It’s about connection,” Paul explained. “It’s not just prospecting and fit—it’s a realtime environment where trust and collaboration flourish.”

Looking to the Future

As Core Fulfilment continues to grow, its team remains steadfast in their mission to help online businesses thrive. Investments in infrastructure, systems, and talent are paving the way for even greater success. “We truly believe this is just the start,” Paul said with confidence. “There are many more exciting partnerships and opportunities ahead.”

For those considering outsourcing or switching their order fulfilment, Paul has a simple invitation: “Come visit our CFHQ in Crewe, grab a drink, and see how we work. We’re excited about what’s next, and we’d love for you to be part of the journey.”

Fast Deliveries, Happy Customers, Simple.

Core Fulfilment’s story is a testament to the power of vision, resilience, and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. Whether it’s meeting the needs of a small retailer or a global brand, Core’s promise is clear: “It should just work.” And for businesses partnering with Core, it does.

Here’s to the continued success of Core Fulfilment and the many businesses they support. Together, they are shaping the future of eCommerce logistics—one successful delivery at a time.
