n November 22, at 7.30pm, St Peter’s Chrch will host Harry Nowakauski-Fox (piano) & Judith Choi-Castro (violin) in the second in our series of “Brilliant Young International Musicians in St Peter’s Church, Marlborough”. Harry Nowakauski-Fox and Judith Choi-Castro have established themselves as a remarkable duo having performed in Asia, America and Europe including the most prestigious venues in London including St Martin in the Fields, Cadogan Hall, Wigmore Hall and the National Gallery. Harry won a scholarship to Chetham’s school and in 2001 performed the Grieg Piano Concerto at the age of 13 with the Manchester Youth Orchestra. Spanish-South Korean Judith has worked with the Halle Orchestra and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. She played the Bach Double violin concerto with Adrian Butterfield and the Southbank Sinfonia. ungerford Town Council has called a public meeting to give residents an opportunity to discuss West Berkshire Council’s plan for 100 houses in Hungerford’s Salisbury Road area. Questions are being asked, not at the 100-house allocation, but at its location given that other areas of the town are available. The public meeting will be on Wednesday, November 18 at 7.30pm in The Corn Exchange -see advertisement on Page 11. The council says the meeting will be an opportunity for the public to become informed on housing plans and to put forward views. West Berkshire Council is holding a consultation on their draft DPD and responses are needed by December 21, 2015.

ungerford Town Council’s tourist and economy committee will act to enlarge Hungerford’s extremely successful Victorian Extravaganza. Monday’s committee meeting discussed better communications and marketing within the town in a bid to draw in more people with increased attraction. Cr Carolann Farrell suggested action to extend the extravaganza and also the possiblity of a mid-summer town ball. The meeting was told Hungerford had more to offer visitors than Marlborough.
