Fundamentally we believe in preparing students to

Why Journeys School?
Students must have the requisite knowledge to make informed decisions. At Journeys School, students go beyond content to become
life-long learners who think critically
about their worlds. Journeys School offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years and Diploma Programs, which are recognized globally as a top choice for student engagement and learning.
In today’s complex, interconnected world, academic knowledge is not the silver bullet to success. We believe that the
development of the whole child is key for students to be
able to put vision into action. To do this, we focus on the power of relationships which creates an environment where it is safe for students to take social, emotional and academic risks, which in turn allows them to grow into confident, collaborative and caring citizens.
We teach students to inquire into their world and then design solutions around the challenges they find - this is place-based education at Journeys School. By looking at communities through economic, cultural and ecological lenses, students learn how to
solve real-world problems that have
understanding that nothing can be studied in isolation. We live in a
The success of our students comes with the
globally connected community and students must be able to transfer their skills from one community to any community around the world.
Through participation in the IB program, students develop a keen sense of how their actions affect the world.
