Woodcliff ake is an upscale community in the ascack Valley, about 22 miles northwest of Manhattan. As they drive through town, residents and the many corporate professionals in the area en oy beautiful, picturesque views of the Woodcliff Reservoir, which adds to the scenic beauty of the town, known for its heavily wooded neighborhoods. The 2,300-acre borough is home to Wood Dale ark, a county park with a large pond for fishing and model boating, walking paths, playground, tennis courts, dog park, a pavilion and gazebo. The borough also has a large pool at its Old Mill Complex, with tennis courts and athletic fields. Woodcliff ake has all the commodities of a modern town, but is rich with history and features structures dating back to the 1700s. The tree density in the area of Woodcliff ake makes for beautiful showings in the fall and winter. The Woodcliff ake School District includes pre- indergarten education through grade at two schools. Dorchester Elementary serves pre through grade 5. Woodcliff ake Middle School covers grades through . ublic high school students move on to ascack ills Regional igh School, along with students from nearby Montvale. The student-teacher ratio is an attractive 12:1. Woodcliff ake is served by the arden State arkway at exit 171 and County Route 503, both of which pass through the borough. Residents can also come home via exits 1 or 172 off the arkway. The Saddle River Tours Ameribus services provides bus transportation to eorge Washington ridge us Station, while private bus company Rockland Coaches offers commuter service to Midtown Manhattan. Woodcliff ake has its own passenger train station, conveniently located downtown. The train offers connections to the ascack Valley ine, oboken Terminal, and the ew ork Waterways ferry service.

Woodcliff ake is bordered by the ergen County municipalities of illsdale, Montvale, ark Ridge, River Vale, Saddle River, and small portions of pper Saddle River. Established in 1 94, Woodcliff ake has many historic houses and buildings, some dating from the 1 th century.
