exceptional real estate service both locally and around the world. Understanding the importance of corporate responsibility and serving the communities in which they live and work, Terrie O’Connor Realtors is continuously recognized as a “Company that Cares.” Community service is interwoven into the fabric of their company culture. In 2015, Terrie herself was honored with the Mahwah Chamber of Commerce Humanitarian Award; and in 2019, she received the Greater Bergen Realtors highest honor: REALTOR® of the Year. That same year, Commerce and Industry of New Jersey recognized the firm as a Company that Cares.

for their agents. They offered training on new property marketing technologies, safety, crisis communications, and more. Their webinar library now features more than 150 training videos produced over 30+ weeks. The Photography Department ramped up to provide Matterport and Zillow 3D Tours on nearly every listing. The MarTech Department launched social media marketing and technology training to empower their agents to better communicate virtually. In December, they launched Agent Icon, providing their agents with an exclusive media tool to create customized social media posts.

Terrie O’Connor Realtors kicked off 2020 with the Agent Appreciation Breakfast in February and cheered on their NJ REALTORS® Circle of Excellence winners at MetLife Stadium. Their top agents enjoyed a trip to the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World Annual Conference in Las Vegas, where TOCR was awarded the Luxury Portfolio Spirit Award for their proprietary Luxury Marketing Specialist designation. Little did they know then that Las Vegas would be their last in-person event for the year.

Virtual meeting tools like Zoom and Google Meets played a key role in maintaining engagement among the agents. In October, TOCR launched its annual REALTOR® New Year Year business planning event with virtual educational sessions by nationally recognized real estate coaches Dan Elzer and Mike Staver. Agents even gathered in the corporate parking lot for a socially distanced “Trunk or Treat” event offering, “Tricks of the Trade,” and ice cream treats from Joe’s Ice Cream Truck. To build morale at the holidays, TOCR invited a local celebrity chef to host a virtual cooking master class and each office held Zoom holiday parties replete with games and virtual snowball fights.

As the country shut down in March, management shifted gears and launched the TOCR Institute, providing daily virtual educational programs

Despite the challenges of 2020, TOCR recorded their best year with 20% growth over 2019. And, they welcomed 107 new agents.
