President’s Report Submitted by: Neil Shnider, President of the Board of Trustees

Temple Shalom has been bustling with activity all year long. The One Family initiative is going strong with new and exciting Affinity Groups being set up, new member involvement plans being developed and implemented, and an expanded ambassador initiative to make sure guests to our home are greeted with a warm welcome. Our outreach to the community has continued with many programs that Temple Shalom offers to the community and with partnerships that we have developed with other community organizations such as the Jewish Federation of Collier County and the Holocaust Museum. We have been evaluating the various functional units of the Temple to understand how we can make sure we are meeting the needs of the membership and the community in our rapidly changing times. As the demographics change, we want to be certain that we stay contemporary from spiritual, programming, and engagement points of view. The leadership of the Temple is a very diverse group of people who are cognizant of the different needs of each segment of our membership. We are regularly evaluating the needs of our members and are working to ensure that there is something for everyone. As we move forward into the new 2015-2016 fiscal year, we see many exciting plans progressing from the development stage to the implementation stage. Temple Shalom is gearing up to roll out the Lifetime Giving Recognition program, the new Life-long Endowment program, partnering with the Community Foundation of Collier County, and the implementation of new initiatives for the youth and children of our congregation. This is not only a great time in the life of Temple Shalom but an exciting time of change, engagement, connectivity, and enrichment. Your involvement is key to the Temple’s success. Temple Shalom is an all-inclusive organization, across all age groups and demographics. As we move forward, we will see implemented new technologies for better communication via mobile and non-mobile devices and social media. We will soon be implementing different ways members can connect with other members via technology to engage with other members and to find those with similar interests. Your involvement in aspects of the Temple that interest you is important to us and for you to feel the excitement and energy. We invite you to contact Board members and other leaders to let them know how you want to participate in Temple life.

B’Shalom Neil Shnider, Presidet
