Stump Your Friends

Last weeks “Stump Your Friends” was Pam Burris. It was guessed by Bobbi Miller. Verna Buck also took a stab at it, guessing Bridgett St. Clair. Sorry Verna, keep trying. If you have pictures of old time memories, whether it be people, landmarks, etc. we’d love to have them.

TOPS TOPS MO877 La Plata met Tuesday, January 10th at 6:00 p.m. in the La Plata Christian Church fellowship hall with 8 members weighing in. Gail led the meeting. We opened with our TOPS and KOPS pledges. Roll call was, “what have you done outside in our days of warmer weather?” TOPS best loser was Barb Y. with Nancy as runner-up. Best KOPS loser was Barbara G. who stayed the same. Gail gave each member a 13 week “TOPS Daily Do It” planner to record our food amounts, calories, starches, fruits, milk, veggies, meat/protein, fats and free foods. Also we are encouraged to have a weekly goal concerning our weight loss or anything we want to improve upon. At the end of the 13 weeks we can compare our beginning weight and measurements with our ending numbers. We are having fun with our “Dime” weight loss contest. Our plans for our TOPS 30th anniversary celebration are moving along. Gail heard from Nita Blazer, our Area Coordinator. SRD (State Recognition Day) wil be in March at St. Louis, the theme is “Colors Of Your Life”. Calendar Ginger read Nita’s letter, “TOPS in Touch”. Janet read “Twas the Month After Christmas”, a humorous take on the familiar Christmas poem. Our weekly challenge is to report on our goal for the week and whether or not we attained it. Anyone interested in visting or joining TOPS is welcome. Please call Gail at 660.651.3025 for more information.
