SITE INFO GATE SALES
You must pre-purchase your WOMAD ticket to get festival access. There won’t be gate sales available - however tickets can be purchased at a ticket outlet, by phone (0800 4TICKET), online and through our website via your smartphone (tickets.womad.co.nz).
ENTRANCES The four main festival entrances are at Brooklands Park Drive, the racecourse gate, the Pukekura Park Dell (via Pukekura Park) and Kaimata Street.
CAR PARKING Very limited parking is available at the racecourse car park (access via Coronation Ave – follow the signs). You may prefer to get dropped off at the event as parking is very limited.
YOUTH TICKETS Youth tickets are valid for people aged between 13 – 17 years. Proof of age may be requested upon entry to the festival. Youth ticket holders must enter the festival prior to 7pm. If you leave the venue, you will not be readmitted after 7pm so remember to bring everything you need with you.
CHILD TICKETS All children must be ticketed. Each adult ticket qualifies for a free child ticket. Additional child tickets are $35. There aren’t any gate sales available - however tickets can be purchased at a ticket outlet, by phone (0800 4TICKET), online and through our website via your smartphone (tickets.womad.co.nz). We advise parents to write your mobile phone number on your child’s wristband or arm so a WOMAD team member can contact you easily in the event your child gets lost. To enquire about lost children, visit the Information Centre. Please arrange with your children at the beginning of the festival to meet at the Information Centre if you are separated.
PROGRAMMES All three-day ticket holders receive a free WOMAD programme upon entry. Additional programmes can be purchased from the WOStore for $6 – refer to the site map for location (pages 34-35).

INFORMATION CENTRE This is your first point of call for all WOMAD information including lost and found children, lost property, programming information, cash machine and public message board.
RESPECT THE SITE Please respect this beautiful venue by staying out of the gardens. We aim to leave it in the same condition we found it. WOMAD reserves the right to remove persons from the venue who ignore this request. We ask that you also respect New Plymouth District Council’s smoke free parks, playgrounds and sports grounds policy and refrain from smoking at WOMAD.
LITTER & RECYCLING This is a beautiful park and we really want to keep it that way. We can’t stress enough how important it is for WOMAD-goers to help us maintain a successful Zero Waste recycling programme. Please dispose of your waste in the correct recycling bins at the Zero Waste stations which are clearly signposted around the site and at the camp ground.
TOILETS Toilet blocks are located at the racecourse entrance, in the trees next to the food court, adjacent to the Global Village retail area, next to the Information Centre, and in the Kunming Garden next to the Gables stage. Please refer to the site map for locations (pages 34 - 35).
NO GLASS/BOTTLES Please note that all glass (bottles and drinking glasses) are banned from the site for safety reasons. All bags will be checked upon entry so do not attempt to bring in anything which can break and cause injury. Any bottles removed from the site will not be readmitted. Any wine bottle refunds must be claimed on the day of purchase within bar opening hours.
ALCOHOL BYO alcohol is not permitted on site. If alcohol is found, it will be confiscated. Licensed bars with EFTPOS facilities are operating on-site for the duration of the event. Non-alcoholic drinks are however allowed to be brought in, but please remember no glass!
FOOD Food can be brought in to the festival site. Please remember glass is not permitted.
