Sussex Chorus (formerly Ditchling Choral Society) is one of the best large choirs in the Southeast of England and performs mainly in Brighton and Mid Sussex. The choir currently has over 90 singers and welcomes new members in all voice parts, especially tenors and basses. Conductor - Alan Vincent.

A friendly choir open to all who enjoy singing for pleasure. We perform a Spring Concert which, for 2017, will be in Holy Trinity Church and a traditional Christmas Concert in Hurstpierpoint Village Centre.

What is Canine Osteopathy?

Canine osteopathy works with the same principles as human osteopathy, and is a system of medicine that uses physical techniques to treat the dog as a whole, rather than focusing on a single area. This is to promote healthy functioning, by correcting mechanical imbalances within and between the structures (muscles, bones, ligaments organs and fascia) of the body.

It can help animals of any age from puppy to elderly, cope with many problems and conditions affecting the musculo-skeletal system; such as muscle stiffness, spasm, tendonitis or ligament sprains; including minor orthopaedic problems.

If you are unsure as to the suitability of Osteopathy for your dog, please feel free to ask any questions via email or phone. Nicky works in the vicinity of Hurstpierpoint, Partridge Green or Henfield, but can travel further if needed. Consultations are done on a home visit basis. We have displays in the foyer which is open whenever the Village Centre is occupied.

Hurst Festival was born in 2004 to showcase the wonderful breadth of talent we have in Hurstpierpoint. It has one aim – to provide people with two weeks of enjoyment in the second half of September each year, during which we can meet each other, try something new and generally feel part of the community.

The Festival, an essential fixture on the village calendar, moved into its second decade in 2015 and features over 70 events showcasing the work of musicians, singers, writers, artists, thinkers, actors, brewers, farmers and a great deal more, many of whom live in the village and surrounding areas. The opening Saturday is Village Community Day with a huge variety of mostly free events centred around the High Street, Village Green and Recreation Ground.
