Tom Hoge Wins The 53rd Annual Bobcat North Dakota Open

Golf fans turned out on August 25 – 27 to witness Fargo native and PGA pro Tom Hoge crowned the 53rd annual Bobcat North Dakota Open champion. Hoge finished 20-under par 196 on the lush greens of the Fargo Country Club during the threeday event, tying a courserecord 63 on the second day and a 64 on the third day, beating the tournament record. He received $10,000 in purse winnings and will play in the Web. com Tour Finals over the next four weeks. Andrew McCain, of Knoxville, Tennessee, finished in second place with a final score of 16-under in his first professional tournament, and Andre Metzger, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, trailed in third place with 12-under. In addition, William Leaf and Grady Meyer tied for the amateur title at 211 over the course of three days.
